A lovely little hotel. Right in the heart of the old town, but nice quiet rooms inside. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were great.

Just back from 3 weeks in Lithuania. Amberton Cosy Kaunus was not just the best hotel I stayed in on this holiday but the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Rooms are very big and "cosy" it's so central and the staff are amazing.

Good and fast breakfast! The coffee is average. It's a nice place in the middle.

It is great to know that this hotel will not use caged hens eggs any more. Thank you for clarity and this amazing desicion!

The hotel is great staff is friendly and helpful. It's located quite well with restaurants and bars around it. The walk to the shopping mall is a bit lengthy but the views around the area make it a pretty nice walk. Bus routes seem a bit convoluted which makes walking a bit more preferable for me. All in all the hotel staff has helped make my trip all the more enjoyable.

No sockets by the beside, no proper large mirror in the room. Slippers and bathrobe are not provided. Room in general looks nice tho.

Coming from Amberton Vilnius, where it was fantastic, I arrived late and told the double room I'd booked wasn't possible… Computer problems. I was downgraded to a single room, but told it would be less to pay on check out (fine). Room problem number one: the air conditioning didn't work and they didn't have fans. I had to open the window and even then, it was 27C in the room all night. Secondly, the bed was the most uncomfortable I've had the misfortune of sleeping in, in a supposedly 4* establishment. The mattress had a foam like material and I woke up with back and neck pain. The breakfast was minimal and not high quality by any means. Staff were not helpful or interested. The only plus was its proximity to the old town, where it is located! 1 minute walk to the main square. I have never been to such a hotel and would never stay there again. There are better hotels in the vicinity.

Nice standard hotel near the city center. Unfortunately their air-conditioning in the room didn't work. The staff is friendly and the place is nicely designed.

The staff, the location and the room was nice.
The big minus was the taxi service the hotel provided. We took at trip, which should have costed 5€, but we payed 20€.
The hotel description stated that the room was equipped with a whopping 60 inch flat TV (which actually turned out to be a 24 inch screen) and a "city view", which was a view of a cramped back yard. We mentioned this right away, but they were very reluctant to acknowledge this issue.
So all in all a fine hotel, but don't believe their room descriptions and don't ask for a cab in the reception (due to soaring kickbacks).

Beatiful hotel, right in the Centre, quite area and good price. Room is beatiful and big and also the bathroom, everything is clean when you arrive. Breakfast is also good. I spent 5 nights and room was cleaned only two days, and even in these two days to say that it was cleaned is too much, only bed was somewhat tidied up.

Great location, new and clean facility.

People who work at this hostel don't know to receive clients. When I arrived, the 2 girls played outside and when I arrived, they became normal. No service, no pleasure to be in this hostel. The room stinked the new paint, no discount for that, impossible to talk to someone, everyone was very uncarefully! An athentic shame! I stayed only because I was exhausted. Very bad hostel for a 4 stars, the only advantage is the very good location in Kaunas.

I lived at the Kaunas Klaipeda for almost 2 months. It was better than living at home. The room was always spotless, the bathroom fixtures sparkled. I am a picky old widower, and pleasing me is a task. The breakfast was always outstanding, Mitchela, the chef, changed the breakfast a little each day so it wasn’t the same old thing. For a guy that can’t eat at the same restaurant three day in a row, it takes some effort to please me. The front desk staff all speak at least four languages, and all speak good English. The staff are very knowledgeable, be it directions, suggestions, and cautions on all the things that give tourist regrets. Audrey, the manager has an excellent knowledge Kaunas and all the events. If it is something that needs fixed ask Robert. He is a man’s man, and a very good computer geek. If the staff can’t handle your needs they have a team leader, the general manager Evelyn, who speaks 8 or 9 languages, perfect English, and has traveled extensively through out Europe and the United States. She is excellent at relating to your needs. She doesn’t hide in her office, she is in and out of the public area all day. That day is usually 12 hours. Speaking of public areas, you will not find anyone that doesn’t belong. I felt very safe and didn’t have to worry about my STUFF, the big big advantage to a small hotel and a outstanding staff. I shall return, and I would suggest you try it you will be pleased.
