Molengoane Lodge

Guest reviews are mixed. Many describe the staff as fantastic, highlighting their exceptional hospitality and excellent service, with special mentions of staff member Tankiso and the warm smile of Tebello. On the other hand, there are complaints regarding rudeness from new staff members and poor communication, with the lodge taking weeks to answer simple inquiries or ignoring them entirely.

The hotel features an on-site restaurant and bar. Breakfast is included in the room rate, although one guest noted its absence upon departure. The cuisine receives high ratings, with special praise for the trout dishes and the "heavenly" chicken. Overall, guests report excellent food quality.

Despite online information stating that Wi-Fi is unavailable, as of September 2025, guests confirm that internet access was functional in the rooms.

The rooms are described as spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. While they may seem basic by European standards, the overall impression remains positive. The property also features traditional rondavel huts that appear well-maintained.

Overall room cleanliness is rated highly. However, issues arose in the camping area: guests complained that the toilets and showers were not cleaned regularly and that the men's restroom ran out of toilet paper.

There are no kitchen facilities in the rooms, which, combined with the lack of nearby grocery stores, requires guests to dine at the hotel restaurant.

There is a campsite on the grounds; however, guests report a critical lack of power outlets, with only four points for the entire site to be shared among up to 15 groups. It is recommended to bring your own extension cords and power strips. It was also noted that the campsite became overcrowded and lacked adequate space for everyone.

Overall, the atmosphere is cozy, but the quiet can be disrupted by external noise from the bar across the street. In addition, one guest complained about the hotel's new sound system playing loud music starting at 6:00 AM.
