I strongly don't recommend this Hotel! There are periodic arrests of Russian citizens, without explanation. Staff cooperate with the local police, give them all the information about who lives, the police come, search without proper documents, steal money and valuables. I was vacationing there with my young man, he lives in Dubai and I am from Russia, he was supposed to fly 2 days later to me, but did not have time, as I was completely brazenly arrested, took money, documents and taken to a terrible prison. For what reasons I was arrested I did not understand, I was not told anything, however, as well as a perplexed young man who came as we agreed and did not find me. What's more, the hotel staff brazenly lied to him that I wasn't there and I didn't come, although he was aware as he booked the Hotel and room himself. In general, with great difficulty I was released, citing the fact that there was a mistake. The story is terrible, but alas, I've heard that this happens a lot in this hotel.

On average hotel in the middle of Hamra street, good for business trip and to stay in the middle of the city. Service is good, welcoming atmosphere. at waking distance from several attractive sites of Beirut city.

I love coming to crowne plaza: very good locations; great view (if ur lucky with room number), friendly people, good food. I just wish they could renew bathrooms, they are clean but kind of old and rusty. Taxi service is nice too, nice pool and gym.

Located just near the Rawsha and at the hart of Alhamra road, the hotel is clean and provides u great hospitality. The hotel staff is very helpful and will guide u throughout my stay. The restaurant staffs were very helpful and friendly. The hotel provides u almost every facilities from good rooms and paces for meetings. The rooftop cafeteria of hotel was great. Wen I say food was great (i mean it :) ) Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend Crown Plaze hotel to every couple and families:). You wont regret, just be there:)

I have visited crown plaze for three wedding parties. The food is really good and the service is Friendly. The setup is average.

The staff are really helpful, there is a free parking which is a necessity in Beirut. It's in hamra thé constant heart of Beirut, where you can find anything you want, whenever you want even in the middle of the night.

They do not have sea views. Sea is too far. They are not organised. The team should be more professional. I had a bad experience there. The location is very good in Hamra shopping street.

Beautiful place for a wedding (had my wedding there) has the best restaurant on earth, Roadsters! I miss Roadsters : (I love Roadsters :) I want Roadsters!

I found Crowne Plaza Beirut – CPB — of a coincidence or let sat say on recommendation of a woman in Beirut and I didn’t get dissatisfied. First thing as I noticed then I entered the hotel was the security facilities, the second was energy saving solutions with led-lamps in the hallways connected with motion detectors. The third, the kettle and the coffee together with the view over Beirut. Then I could relax after my first 22 busy hours in Beirut without luggage – it came later! The next experience was breakfastbuffe and Chef Hassan delicious omelets and thin bread with chess and yoghurt's on demand. Sunday 12 November I maybe chocked some people – staff/guests — then I arrived late to breakfast in joggingclothes and green beard, but I was hungry after Beirut Marathon. One of the waiters in the restaurant asked me if my coffee was hot enough, me who are used with lukewarm coffee during work – I felt well with those questions. The woman who work in the Lobby, with her good sense of humour and pleasant attitude – I liked her. Actually, all of the staff made my visit to something unforgettable in combination with the the cozy room, gym, the rooftop pool/bar, the location in Hamra and the city of Beirut is a good reason to come back. I even can believe that my 1600 visitors on TWITTER – during my week in Beirut — want something new next year, so now I working to find improvements.

From the ninth floor the view is breathtaking. 5-star hotel in the middle of Hamra Street.

Very average hotel. Especially the top floor bar is a Desaster. How can you have so much light inside when there's an awesome view outside?

Serious establishment. We can trust him. This is my second stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel this year.

Central Hotel on Hamra Street. Good for renting.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Took a sea view room on 14th floor. The sea is far but you can get a glimpse. Excellent location on Hamra Street. The staff we helpful. There is a good selection of restaurants at the ground floor independent from the hotel. Parking available in the basements. In general it was a quiet and easy stay. Two things need more attention from the hotel. Old towels need to be changed and corridors need to be hoovered. The pool needs maintenance.

Not a representative of the brand. I only picked this hotel because it was an IHG brand. Service was good but hotel is old, dirty and dated. I asked for a cup of milk with my tea in the room (you cant put coffee mate in tea! ) and the small jug was presented to me at the door with a charge of $4. Wow, shocked. I told them to forget it. I and bought a bottle from the shop. Poor service really especially considering the price per night was not cheap.

I stayed here Dec. 2011 after leaving another apartment in Hamra. This place is located in the heart of Hamra, right off the main street. Even though I got a good deal since I stayed 7 days, at $40.00 per night, I wouldn't stay here again for a day if it were free. Firstly, I specifically asked before paying whether the hotel had hot water. The clerk assured me, hot water all of the time! Of course, out of my 7 days I had hot water one lucky morning. I later searched and found they play the same ploy with others. Secondly, this place is located next to a busy street and they have ZERO sound proofing. You CANNOT sleep, you hear honks and cars, people, until 4 AM. Thirdly, the room had a poor odor in it, and it was dirty. The shower curtain was covered in black. The only positives were the price and the balcony. I never seen any other tourists here, it seems a take your money and run place. I would not recommend that you stay here. Very poor stay, very miserable run down hotel.
