Very nice hotel with pleasant staff in central Location of Hamra, with good food & eating facilities. Good Wi-Fi, though weaker in some rooms. Have car parking facilities & swimming pool if needed. Fair priced.

The hotel is conveniently located on Hamra. The service is perfect. The ghost of the old "Commodore" has unfortunately disappeared.

Well located hotel in Hamra. The rates are reasonable and the rooms are relatively clean. The hotel could use some renovation as the rooms are getting old. Their Wi-Fi does not cover higher level room and is troublesome to connect. The connection keeps disconnecting so I had to use it from the lobby.

Good hotel with good service but the food is not that good the price is fair but still you will get sheeper hotel that provide bitter breakfast and lunch but over all it is still good and the location is in al hamara which considered close to the city center.

Banihana is a nice restaurant rooms are nice but breakfast that is inclusive in the rate can not be served in the room through room service and should be taken in the buffet. Never heard to this in 5 star hotels before. They claim they have free parking while its not they charged me for it.

Nice and friendly staff the only problem is the parking for 5 stars hotel parking should be free not payable.

I visited the Japanese restaurant in ground floor Looks very cosy and yummi The staff and Japanese chefs are super friendly specially with live cooking A real jaoanese restaurant in heart of beirut.

Needs some serious renovations legacy of the good old name still attracts customers though.

Completely ridiculous hotel I have stayed there. And booked double room. And when my guest enter the hotel receptionist stoppped my friends and asked 30 dollars to go up to my room completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Will never stay there. This is 5 stars hotel not 1 Star I don’t recommend this hotel to stay there.

Very nice hotel. Perfect location, step away from the Hamra street. Food is tasty and has a variety, except for breakfast. Staff is wonderful, very helpful.

The hotel's booking personnel are completely incompetent. All I wanted was a simple prepaid shuttle service for my dad, they confirmed my request after I filled out a form and shared my credit info. All this was a waste of time, the 5-star hotel still charged him for the shuttle service upon his arrival and gave him a hard time when he requested to leave early to the airport the next morning!
I communicated with the booking agents about all this and asked for an explanation, they never responded to my email. Sour experience, never again at Le Commodore.

Location is excellent. Service is good but not great, it varies on the person you deal with. We reported many issues (room humidity, non legal access to room, …), And still no corrective actions were taken!

Great and friendly staff and location is perfect. Bathrooms aren't the best. Our bathroom door was broken actually. But overall it was a good stay.

Location is good for people who like to be close to Hamra district and to the American University. 10 min by taxi or Uber to reach downtown if you cannot afford to be at Four Seasons hotel, for instance.

The place is food for taking a coffe, clean place but u should work on offers specially Iftar menu for 2017 it should be more delecious than this.

I stayed at this hotel twice,. I will definitely never repeat this hotel as it promises a 5 star hotel service, yet offers nothing even close to that. It is a shame to call this hotel a 5 star hotel. My experience in October was good which led to me repeating the hotel. Once I checked in, the receptionist told me that the mini bar is complementary, and I thanked him and went up to my room. The mini bar didn't contain any alcohol, which is usually the case when the mini bar… is complementary in any 5 star hotel. I used some sodas, juices and one kitkat bar which was actually expired. How can there be an expired kitkat in a 5 star hotel? Where every detail must be paid attention to? When I checked out, the receptionist handed me a receipt of around $70 for the mini bar (including the expired kitkat) and then they removed it from the list. I told him that I was told that the mini bar was complementary but he claimed that it is impossible. I even told him that in my previous stay (October) I used a lot of items from the mini bar and wasn't charged for any of them. I paid the $70, and the receptionist's entire attitude changed as soon as his payments were settled. The issue here, isn't the money, the issue at hand is the inconsistency in service and the inability to grasp the fact that the customer is always right in these situations as there is no reason why I would make anything of that sort up.

They charged me $100, — for washing a few close. There was no price list available in my room and they didn't told me the prices in advance. When I ask for a compensation I expected a fair solution of the case. They only offered me a discount of 25%. You don't expect it will cost that much for two jeans, two shirts and underwear. That's fast money making! To not even mention the cold coffees they serve every morning. This hotel doesn't deserve the five stars. Thank god we will move to the Staybridge Suites.

This is a historic hotel made famous during the war with Israel as the place where journalists would stay. The original hotel was destroyed in the Civil War but the newly built version is a nice comfortable place to stay albeit with little to show from its historic past.

Great hotel, good service and good staff.

I waited 20 minutes with my bags just to check in. No one offered to take my bags, there were barely any staff present and the hotel wasn't in the least bit busy. The room was fairly nice but nothing lavish — clean sheets, large bed, desk, TV, bathtub, furniture in relatively poor condition but acceptable given the pricing. I had a big issue with the safe, it simply didn't work and would sound the alarm with the slightest touch. Room service is outrageously overpriced, but that's to be expected of a 4 star hotel. I can't reccomend this hotel but can't advise against it either. It's simply okay.

Bad hotel. Dirty and moldy. They charge for the internet, which I paid for, but internet didnt work after a few hours, and they still made me pay for it. I got sick and had an allergic reaction from what I assume to be mold in the room.
