Very clean, affordable and well located. The staff is great and helpful. I got a room with my brother and it was the same as getting a hostel of 6 or 8 people per room. It was a nice break from the hostels.

It is pricey for the location because other guesthouses give similar facilities for much less. They had bed bugs so we changed the room next day. The room that we had to move to was very small and stuffy but next day, we were refunded 30000kip, only on asking.

When I first sure it though what have I let myself in for I was wrong. The room was fine Wi-Fi key was in the room really easy. The manager all so told us. We found out they all so do food just not breakfast.

Nice staffs, great location to most of the places of interest. The room is so so but at least is tidy. The only thing mess up is the water heater. Hav to bear with cold water while shower…

Staff very friendly but our double room was very small, very noisy, with a false window… a very bad value for money…

There are posters that say you can pay with card and then make excuses to not pay with card several days.

Nowhere near as nice as websites make it out to be out that the price suggests. Mould/very unclean walls, carpet not attached to the floor, beds like a rock, walls nearly fall apart trying to plug chargers in and bees in the courtyard. I would not have minded this place if I'd paid the right price for it, but the hotel next door was much nicer and cost very little more.

I'd rate the facility itself at about 3 to 3.5 stars but the staff, the location, and the value push it to 4 stars for me. I would spend weeks here, it consider it a romantic getaway, but for a few nights to explore Vientiane or for a visa run from Thailand it's really good. The staff was excellent and the breakfast (included in the room rate) was better than expected. It's very well positioned in town for access to money exchange, coffee shops, food, and the Mekong River walkway/park. The room itself was okay, nothing terrible but not noteworthy either. I thought it could use a bit more cleaning and some painting but it was good enough that I'd stay again. Given the location, the breakfast, the helpful and friendly staff, and the room rate, I consider it above average in value.

Booked room with private bathroom, got one with shared one. After complain, we got next day what we booked. If I would rate first room would be — 5 stars, destroyed carpet, aircon like airplane, wooden floors made my bed shake every time someone walk in hallway, plugs broken, fan broken, TV broken, toilet they didnt event bother to put huge toilet paper roll inside toilet paper holder, water heater broken in shower so just cold water. So next day room was like it should be no complain about it, every thing worked and been like it should be on first day. Breakfast was fine, I only wish you would make fresh pancakes and not premade and heated in microwave ones. Staff is nice, but not to much in giving information about how much should taxi or tuktuk cost. So over all I would give u 4/5 but im cutting 1 for first day room and 1 for trying to say to us that we booked room with shared bathroom, even if on booking is private bathroom, so 2/5. If u get bad room, not worth of price else is ok/fine.

Stayed in two single bed room. Very poor quality. Room was small, drains were blocked, lights were coming out of the ceiling, the aircon was noisy and the plug points faulty. Although there was breakfast included, the options were very basic. The only good points were the convenient location and friendly staff. Overall, not worth the price.

A quiet clean accommodation, nice staff centrally located.

Quiet place, with friendly staff. The beds are a little hard, the rooms could use a little coat of paint on the walls, but the place is very clean, also the shared bathrooms are spotless.

Good place for stay one or couple of nights. We had not so good experience with hotels in Vientiane before, this hotel is first where we can come back again next time. Not so big room and not so clean too, but for your money you have good city view (thanks it not wall of nearby building), good breakfast (okay, normal breakfast, because many dishes is better for lunch time and some tables occupied by ants) ) and not so bad location (is close to Thai Embassy and there is some, not so much, but some food points around I mean for reasonable price). Internet was not work half of time but they said it will fixed soon. Manager was very friendly, other personal… em… almost friendly too) ) One thing make us crazy is elevator sound that you hear all the night, even it stops not on your floor, any way you hear this bell sound. Arrr… they should turn it off at least overnight.

I've been in this hotel twice for visa run. But for sure I won't come for a third time. I've tried different rooms and it was for all of them the same: Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible. Barely stable. Can't even go on Google quickly. Hair in the beds, hair in the bathtube, bathroom just rinced with water (not deeply cleaned) and they don't dry the floor. Spiderwebs on every corner of the ceiling. Air-conditionning is noisy and not stable at all : hot and cold every 5 minutes. Windows can't be locked, easy for someone to get in. Windows and walls are thick as a sheet of paper : you can hear every little noise from outside and from the other rooms. The only good thing is the friendly staff. Hotels are basicaly made for having a good sleep during night time : mission FAILED for this hotel.

Most uncomfortable beds we have slept in — beds are very hard and unpleasant.

Excellent hotel. Very recommended, staff is very friendly and is located in a great area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. And it has a hipster style with its artsy graffity on the walls.

Clean beds, good shower, decent breakfast, that's all you need really. But Vientiane Star offered more. They have really friendly staff that would make you feel at home right away. Considering we stayed just for one night, we got way more than we paid for. Free breakfast while we waited for a room, free shower even after we checked out, good advice on what to see. We'll surely be back! smile emoticon.

An OK hostel. Friendly staff. Good location.

Simple room with no fridge, but clean enough. The bar offers breakfast, beverages and some snacks. Pancake was so-so, but toast and eggs were okay. Sandwich was quite good. Very helpful staff, mostly young and speaking English. They also offer some travel options i. E. Booking buses and day trips. The Wi-Fi might not cover all the area, though. Ask to clean the room and change the towels every day otherwise the room would be untouched.

Stayed one night seemingly are going to do a Thai Visa the room was clean and tidy nothing special 1200 Baht Double Room.
