Lucky Backpacker Hostel Hostel

A worker at this hostel was sexually harassing a women and then assaulted a friend of mine (broke bottle over his head and sent him to hospital). The owner did nothing. The guy still works there. This place is unsafe. Beware!

BEWARE :: 42yo male night staff was sexually assaulting a female patron. I asked him to stop multiple times and was told to leave the room. When I objected he punched me in the face, hit me over the head with a beer bottle, threw a chair at me and then ran off shortly only to return with knives telling me that I was going to die. Filed a police report and the police have the CCTV footage. Still works there. Shameful. Don't risk it, stay anywhere else this man is not working. They even used my stolen phone in this mess to write a fake review on tripadvisor before "finding" it and giving it back when I came with the police.

Room was dirty. Spider nets hanging all around. I booked a double bed room and I got a 2 twin beds squeezed together. Breakfast included? I can't call that a breakfast. Location is good but, you can find many other cheap hotels in the area with a clean room and a decent breakfast.

For accommondation review read below. We booked here two tickets to the 4000 islands. They promised all transfers and the boat would be included. We had to wait a long time and take a call with some local help until we got picked up in Pakse. At the port in Nakasang we did not get picked up as well. The boat ticket sellers where laughing at us when we showed our „ferry ticket“ wich was just scam. Dont book here, when I called the 3rd time to get help they just kept saying someone will come. There wasnt anyone for one hour. The hostel: Shower is good, toilet flush not that good. Rooms were clean, some dont have a window outside and are tiny, the bigger dorms contatin more beds. Small breakfast, but its ok, the rooms are cheap. You can choose between 3 options (egg/toast etc. ) and tea/coffee. You get one banana. The managers aren‘t very friendly, the cleaning staff is.

Good location, nice atmosphere!

This hostel is lacking social atmosphere so it's not ideal for solo travellers. The location is good, though, and it is very clean.

A nice hostel. Staff have a service mind but small room. Have Wi-Fi each floor. Fair price.

Good place, fair prices. Stayed in a dorm, shared showers and toilets were clean. Only the Wi-Fi wasn't really working.

Pretty good for a hostel, nice and accommodating workers. Fair prices and breakfast included (if sparce).

Double room was so dark and filthy. We were super sick and didn't have the strength to complain. Sheets were filthy. Bathroom smelt like actual poo. Nasty. Nice staff though.

It was my first hostel I have ever stayed in, so I cannot compare to many other hostels… but it was clean enough, and they had even a simple breakfast for that price.

Great location near the night market and river. Comfortable beds. Hot showers. Breakfast is toast and eggs but plenty of good coffee places around. 50, 000LAK/bed.

I do not recommend it for a couple. If that is very good location.

Very good, about 5$ a night, large dormitory, large bed, and plenty of space for each locker located under the beds. I rented a motorbike (honda wave 100) and no problem. The guys are friendly, 2 computers and Wi-Fi was good. Showers clean. The hostel is quite new (2014 I think).

Stayed for 4 nights. Friendly and accommodating staff. Free breakfast. Decent Wi-Fi. Comfortable bed with lockers for your luggage. Near the Night Market. :)

Beautiful place to stay. Friendly people at the front desk. Comfortable mattresses, the best I had ever in a hostel. Good price for a shared room. Including — Wifi — breakfast — 2 computer to use.
