I come to Malida more or less every time I go to Luang Prabang, whether it is for business or for pleasure it is always my choice. Friendly and service minded owners are excellent. Rooms are very nice and newly renovated. Comfort is more like a hotel than a guesthouse. Everything is unusually neat and clean at Malida!
Simple breakfast is included, but if one wants something else, many options are available a 5 to 10 minute walk away.
Close to the absolute center and quiet at night, I recommend the Malida to anyone who do not want to pay top dollars for accommodation but still enjoys some standard.

Owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. They are serving a simple breakfast, but since it is located a 5-minute walk from the absolute center, you can choose to eat wherever you like. I have stayed here many times and am always coming back!

Be careful! the owner will try everything to move you to another building (15 more minutes walking away from the city center), a group reached right before me were all sent there, I insist for a long time and got a room (they did have room here). And at check out, they told me the towel not able to clean and they need to charge me (just hang on the balcony. They even told me they saw that. Only want to charge you at check out coz you must in a hurry).
