Luang Prabang Hotels

I feel very lucky to have found Merry Riverside Hotel and to stay here for 2 nights. They helped me so much, starting from the airport pickup.

Great hotel, stayed on two different occasions with one night in Nong Khiaw in between. Both rooms were beautiful, the one with the balcony was amazing. And so tastefully decorated.

This is probably one of the prettiest hotels on our 7 week journey through Southeast Asia.
Staff is very friendly, the grounds are beautiful and breakfast from a menu.

My husband and I stayed here in December and it was wonderful.

I loved walking into a residence like hotel. It was old fashioned with stairs and beautifully maintained. The age was well maintained. The check in and other formalities were spotless.

Despite shortcomings, 3Nagas delivered on service and location.

We celebrated our anniversary dinner at Phou Vao and it was truly unforgettable. Saw, Min, and their team took exceptional care of us and thought of every detail.

Incredible location, staff, service. Would consider going back just for the breakfast and kao soi! We arrived after/during some renovations and the place was wonderfully not crowded.

An excellent hotel in Luang Prabang with a beautiful and peaceful setting. The property is charming, well maintained, and surrounded by lush gardens and ponds, creating a very relaxing atmosphere.

A truly exceptional retreat right in the heart of Lunag Prabang. The staff were impressive from the outset with a warm welcome, the food delicious and the accommodation comfy.

The cleanest, most comfortable and best accommodation I stayed in in Laos. Especially concerning the shower and Wi-Fi. Andy is a great host who knows all about town. Would recommend!

What a wonderful cozy little place to stay while in Luang Prabang. Rooms are very comfortable and well thought out. Everything thing is of exception quality. Shower is great. Bed is very comfortable.

The hotel actually has two buildings with slightly different prices, since one of them is newly built. The price difference isn’t big, so both are good options.

The room was nice and the front desk staff we're great help. Wi-Fi is an issue. If you are planning on needing Wi-Fi, you will really stuggle here.

The hotel is a short walk from the river, cafes and restaurants, we well as night market. Coincidentally it’s also opposite our cooking class venue.

I recently stayed at Saynamkhan River View and had a truly relaxing and memorable experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Mekong Charm. Lynn the manager created an excellent first impression.
I was offered a welcome drink and taken through a map of the area.

The meet and greet was excellent. Our room, located behind the reception, was spacious but received limited natural light due to the adjacent property's wall.

During our 15 day walkabout around Cambodia, Laos & Thailand, this may have been our favorite lodging.

This is a lovely small clean guesthouse just a block and a half from the Mekong but quiet. The owner is super helpful with great English — Will help you arrange what you need.

We loved our stay at Thongbay Guesthouse which is a short drive from the city centre. There is a free hotel shuttle which drops you off at the post office and picks you up as well.

I stayed at Homm Souvannaphoum Luang Prabang this February to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience.
From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel warmly welcomed.

The hotel itself was beautifully designed and built. We were staying at the suite facing the pool. The interior was a bit vintage but well maintained.

A lovely hotel located a little way away from the centre of the old town. It is centred around a beautiful lotus pond and the gardens are filled with quiet corners.

I had a pleasant stay at Sanctuary Hotel in Luang Prabang, where I stayed for 2 nights.

Really lovely, spacious grounds. We had a garden facing room, you can sit out and relax all day if you like. Comfy beds, good hot showers, good lighting, bikes for use and the food was very good.

The room we had (coconut 2) had a fabulous view of the river and a balcony. My only issue would be the noisy guests next door on their balcony as we were almost connected.

Mad Monkey Hostel in Luang Prabang was way above my expectations!
The crowd was amazing—fun, crazy, and full of great vibes.

This is a true hidden gem. The rooms are spacious and clean, with separate shower and toilet. Fridge, AC and fan in every room. You get tootbrush, soap, slippers, cold and hot drinking water, kettle.

A wonderful stay in Villa Mira. All personal is super kind and attentive. Just what you need to come rest in a lovely gentle home with a fair price after a full day exploring Luang Prabang.

Had a nice stay in the hotel with superb views of the river. Large room en bathroom with bath, the only comment is the light in the bathroom is terrible. Breakfast standard, eggs and jam with bread.

The place ran by a family. So it was really cosy. The room was small but decent for this price plus a very walkable location to the night market (like 5-6 mins).

Beautiful wooden guesthouse with wooden furnishings, in a great location near the river and central street without being in the thick of it. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Pont Inn for one night, we booked the tent/cabin type of place and had the loveliest night! Mr. Lee is very nice and convenient.

This was the best place we’ve stayed in Asia. The view from the balcony is incredible and the location is perfect — loads of bars and restaurants under a 10 minute walk away.

In March 2026, I spent one night there on my way back from the Elephant Conservation Center (definitely recommend), and right before leaving for Nong Khiaw.

Amazing place and amazing stuff. I stayed for a week and felt very welcomed and cared for.

Wonderful stay at a great, quiet hostel. Less social but I wanted a calm place to stay. More away from the bustle of the main center but an enjoyable walk.

Staff were really really welcoming, always smiling and really attentive. Eggs on toast (choice of fried/omelette/scrambled) with fresh fruit and coffee every day.

The environment here is great! Maya and staff are so helpful planning and they have everything you need here. Social with fun activities and the rooms are nice!

Very nice hotel. Valuable and friends lady boss from China Hunan been Laos more then 10 years. Staff can speak english laos and bos can speak chinese. Near with morning market.

Near by the river Mekong. Near by the night market. The lady is very kind and speaks English. Everything is clean and cozy. A nice area to sit outside. It is quiet.
