A very nice place to escape from busy noisy life, enjoy slow pace, feel the surrounding nature, treasure each moment with amazing landscapes but still comfortable in your lodge with friendly and helpful staff. Plus point is the morning peaceful view but should be called a picture of the expansive fields as well as daily life of local people from your room. It is my favorite scenery which worths the price.
P/S: should try the elephant riding. It is such a unique experience for a full day tour with lunch (9.30AM — 3.30PM). It takes 3 hours for a 5km riding each turn. My elephant is the one who eats the most, farts the most haha, makes noise the most but makes my trip most memorable. Staff at the lodge will help to arrange this service.

De location is just wonderful, all the bungalows are built on stilts, overlooking the wetlands and have a lot of space between each other so lot’s of privacy. It’s so quiet and peaceful. The food is just delicious and so are the wines they serve.
The staff (and the Dutch GM) are all very helpful and most of them speak very well English.
You can just stay at the Lodge, read a book or look at the activity going on on the wetlands (buffalo’s looking for food, people picking snails or kids playing). Or go on a tour, organised by the Kingfisher Ecolodge.
