Aturukan Hotel

The service was EXTREMELY slow. We ordered food that they said would take 20 minutes and it took an HOUR. The chicken burgers were horrendous. My 8 year old cousin who loves most foods hated the chicken burgers and said it didn’t even taste like chicken and the beef burgers were also disgusting. The chicken tikka was so bland and the milkshakes were so thin and not rich. The sun was scorching and the shade did nothing. There was no lifeguard on duty. If I could put 0 stars I would. Do not recommend this place!

Nice place with good accommodation, there is a buffet breakfast for guests swimming also available and conference rooms.

Very clean quiet and serene. Excellent food and very friendly staff.

A poor experience, really: 1. Room on the third floor, but there is no elevator in the building. 2. A lot of noise in the room at night due to the noisy disco bar. 3. A lot of light poors into the room through the curtains in the evening and at night; either they should turn off or minimize the lights in the hallways, or they should put up better and darker curtains on the windows viewing the hallway. 4. The reception lady could not find my reservation from Booking. Com at first, which was very annoying because I had already paid. 5. The savory breakfast was cold because it still had to be heated up on the buffet while the breakfast room had already been open for a long time; they had started preparing breakfast much too late. 6. The shower tap fell out of the wall, it was loose. 7. The bed was too short, I had to lie diagonally in it. 8. The lighting in the room worked poorly. 9. The TV's remote control worked poorly and occasionally failed. 9. Overall: This hotel is in need of major maintenance; it's as if no maintenance has been done for years; things no longer work well, they fall out, etc. A shame because the building is beautiful, the staff are friendly and the location is excellent. The hotel is neglected by the owner and manager. A shame.

The best hotel in Kitale. Offers superior rooms, quality food and a bunch of other amenities like a gym, swimming pool and barber shop/salon.

Great experience.
Arturkan is pretty chilled, calm and a great place to stay while in Kitale.

I was at Arturkan for business, nice place to relax with family, has a swimming pool and a gym. The rooms are okay, clean but not very spacious, a small working desk. The rooms are very close to the restaurant/ bar and the sound from the music is not conducive for work. They provide plenty of water in the rooms too. The internet speed is great! The staff are friendly — reception, to the servers. Evan’s was exceptionally helpful. Also no clear instructions on how they serve their meals. One time is buffet another time is A la carte. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for a weekend away from home.

The ambience, food, hospitality was nice. Located along kitale kape road.

Very helpful desk. Didn't have hot water for a shower all week and my sink barely worked. They came and fixed the shower, but the sink remains. Barking dogs on the east side kept me up most of the night.
Food is excellent. Breakfast was slow in coming. Our waiter, CALEB… give the man a raise. Best service I have ever had. Hot towels… OMG… after lecturing all day… heaven. Overall, good stay for a place in West Kenya. I'd go back.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Hats off to Caleb, Grace and Stella. Thank you for your extra effort. Be blessed.
