Great place, calm, peaceful, and untroubled — tranquil. You should definitely check it out.

Went find a geocache here. Awesome location and grounds. The views are so awesome. We just grabbed a drink and walked around looking for it. Found the cache and off we continued to our journey.

Beautiful grounds right next to the lake. Enjoy breathtaking views with wild life. Hippos come grazing right on your doorstep. The staff are quite engaged and put guest safety first. Bonfires can be lit on request. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a mini bar stocked up at reasonable prices. Road to the property is also very good.

Good but can do with improvement on aesthetic and meals.

Beauty at its best. You will be lost in nature.

A very nice hotel. You interact with the water bucks here and the hippos in the evening. Has a very nice lake shore and you can boat drive.

Was there in 1992 — very nice laid back place.

Beautiful setting and great ambience. Staff was eager to please and went out of their way to help us see the hippos at night from a safe point. Our room was clean and comfortable. Meals had many options and there was always an effort made to ensure we had enough to eat and were happy with our seating. We always enjoyed eating breakfast and watching the monkeys. Swimming pool was enjoyable. We were sorry to leave such a pleasant environment.

(2013) is an amazing place. Awesome and beautiful area. Large spacious rooms with all modern conveniences. Good quality food. The territory is inhabited by different animals. During the hours of darkness each resident on the territory of accompanies security officer.

You never want to come this place again, the buffet cost KES2500, we nearly have nothing to eat, and the flavor was also bad.

The food has improved and it's good. Try there live vegetables for lunch.

The place is hudge but the food is very poor thats why its good.

After spending three happy visits enjoying good food we were shocked, shaken and disappointed when an inside job robbery from locked rooms during our 4th visit (over breakfast) ruined our stay. What made it worse was that the then management (Manager: Gomeri Kombo, Company: Kenya Hotels Ltd) pretended to care but did nothing to recompense us or replace our lost camera and computer. We were palmed off for over 8 months now, giving them the benefit of the doubt before writing this. Security is no longer important, sadly, and it seems foreigners may be particularly targetted since 2 locked rooms with foreigners in were targetted at the same time whilst others who had laptops etc with them on business trips were OK. Great location and lovely place (particularly good food) if you don't mind about security! Sadly we have to say please avoid for your own good. (David Rowbory, resident in Nairobi. )
