We always enjoy staying at The Tribe. It’s a modern luxury hotel with many great amenities, and it’s adjacent to the Village Market mall. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Great when good, dismissive when in the wrong Tribe Hotel Kaya Spa was one of my mother and I favourite places. So much so, that one of my mother’s favourite gifts is vouchers to Tribe Hotel, Kaya Spa. Our visit to the Rhasoul Chamber Tribe Hotel, Kaya Spa on the 20th Dec 2019 was the beginning of an ordeal that would expose another side to Tribe Hotel that has still left us in a bit of a shock.
My mother sustained an injury so deep that required it required stitches. We received first aid and at the advice of the Hotel’s Doctor, we were instructed to seek further medical attention. We immediately checked into MP Shah Village Market and before we could even see a Doctor, two employees of Tribe Hotel, Kaya Spa followed us to the hospital and presented my mother with some forms to sign. She was traumatised from the injury, in pain and anxious about the recovery journey ahead and was in no state to fully comprehend what she was signing. We then launched a formal complaint against this action by the Hotel that and discovered that the forms presented to my mother were indemnity insurance forms.
It has been a challenging and frustrating period for my mother and I. To our relief, on the 13th February, Vikrem Khettry, the Corporate General Manager at Tribe Hotel acknowledged that the action by the Hotel was wrong and in his own words, “ The hotel put its own interest ahead of its guests’ interest”.

Very delicious food, the service was smooth and uuurgh! How can I forget the the Lobster thermidor and the combination of the sauces. Would highly recommend.

I total forgot I was in Nairobi. Totally in love with the hotel. The staff very hospitable. Room very spacious & the bed so cozy. The meals were simply delicious. The interior & environment breath taking. Deserves 5star. Keep the good job.

Very poor service had to spend 1st time 20 minutes outside the room because key didnt work and 2nd time more than 1 hr because key didnt work. All kept listening was we are sorry.

Living in the neighbourhood of this Hotel I can not imagine how it must be as a guest there! They have very loud and annoying concerts, wedding and other occasions on a regular base. If you look for a quite Hotel, it can't be the Tribe Hotel! They could care less about neighbours or environment.

I especially love their spa! The only downside is getting to the hotel from the airport on a Friday afternoon. The traffic can be quite grueling. Outside of that, great hotel!

Nice clean quaint 5 hotel. Beautiful pool and plenty of lounge space. Gym on the small side and hidden in the dungeon but adequate and the boxing room is super impressive. Restaurant serves all the favourites, including sushi.

I've stayed here a fair number of days. It's an overall comfortable hotel. Very good breakfast options and they also host an all you can eat boozy brunch on the weekends, although it can be a bit pricey. The beds in the rooms are comfortable, but showers are inconsistent with regard to strengh and level of heat. Gym is well equipped but small. Location is convenient to Village Market Mall, UN and US Embassy.

Very, enjoyed the place, the service is unique, you are treated like a king here. There is tidiness, there is all u need in such a hotel. Am happy and am willing to come back, with my whole family. From entrance you are comfortably served, parking is good with maximum security, all you need is to avail yourself here. The food are classic. Me am failing in love with place,

Tribe Hotel is a classic place to have lunch. I visited the hotel on a Sunday for their buffet. You pay a certain amount and eat till you are full. The fruits, barbeque chicken, shrimps, potatoes well very tasty. I really enjoyed their meal. There's also a live band that keeps you entertained while you eat. Fantastic place.

Very painful to give one star. I love this place in so many ways— the modern design, all the glass and mirrors and tasteful design and art. And superb food! But it will be impossible to return on business trips because the internet connection is so poor and unpredictable, both in the rooms and the common areas. There is no way I can function properly without fast broadband wireless. Nairobi is able to provide this now, but Tribe hasn’t managed to deliver. Somebody at Tribe will need to guarantee that something has changed before I will return. Sorry.

Hotel was convenient to my work and being next to the mall was also a plus. Staff was friendly and the front desk staff was helpful. The breakfast staff was either over worked or just didn't want to refill my coffee. Had to ask three different staff members for more coffee and ended up getting it myself from the service area. The room was clean, but was showing its age. Chipped paint and the like. Wi-Fi was fine. TV channels would come and go.

A beautiful hotel with great staff. Walking distance from the mall and many embassies. The rooms are nice and spacious and the chocolates the hotel leaves daily are amazing! The breakfast is great. Plenty of options and they pack food to go — if you’re rushing breakfast. Chai lattes are included! The spa is amazing! I had the most relaxing experience, I was out of body. Great hair salon. This is one of my favorite hotels in Africa! You will love this place.

Just checked in earlier today. Staff are friendly and helpful. Looks like they got good conference facilities. The gym is small but seems adequate for a short stay. The pool looks more like a place for chilling than swimming. I'm in a twin room with my friend and colleague and its a good thing we're close friends because the two beds are like less than a foot apart. Also the bathroom is a bit weird as in the sliding door still allows you to see the silhouette of your mate. I'm sure it's better suited for couples! Room service was fast and tasty… but I just ordered from the Japanese side so can't comment on the western menu. The scenery outside is pretty, quirky, and green. The view from my room is quite lovely. There's a refrigerator in the room that you can actually use for personal items so that's really convenient. Overall I'd recommend the hotel if you're really comfortable sharing with someone or coming alone.

Tribe hotel is located in the village market off limuru road. It a boutique hotel. I love the ambiance. The interior decor was well thought out with a touch of African sculptures. They have a restaurant called Jiko derived from a kiswahili word meaning Kitchen and a bar called the nest. The meals were sumptuous and the staff were pleasant. I have been there twice and I have been impressed both times.

Atypical architecture! Seems that they did lot of work behind the concept and design. Lovely, available and welcoming staff. I stayed in junior suite, luxurious and fancy. Very close to village market, you just walk few meters. Love it. Recommended!

Great hotel. Great location. Terrible Wi-Fi in the rooms. When we checked in I wondered why the lobby was so busy with people on their laptops, but then I realized that it’s because the Wi-Fi in the room is terrible. I contacted to front desk about it, but nothing was done to fix things. You will need to hound the front desk about getting credit for your Starpoints. Prior to arrival I called with my SPG number; it was on file when I arrived. When I checked out, my SPG number still wasn’t on file. I left the country and called back 3 weeks later; my SPG number still wasn’t on file. I emailed the SPG person at the property and finally got credit for the stay. Very safe and secure hotel.

Lovely place to lodge. There is a shopping mall/market just across the perimeter for easy shopping. The scenery is also beautiful, and natural too.

Hubby loved the choclate bar on the bed Fresh juice and fruit for breakfast. Spoilt for choice. One of the waiters went out of his way to make sure we had tea exactly as we like it, parboiled. Thank you Tribe hotel! We will definitely be back.

Close to AMERICAN Embassy in the Diplomatic Neighborhood. Pleasant & responsive staff. Clean rooms and safe restaurants. Most guests are Americans on official or government contacting business. Tusker beer is cold and $4US in the hotel. Right next to Village Market Mall. Good security.

This is a very fine hotel with wonderful service and friendly staff. Although the Internet can be problematic the IT staff is responsive and will solve any issues.

DISGUSTED CUSTOMER I went there as a couple for dinner last weekend on Saturday no Reservation card was kept despite our booking. We were handled by an shady lady idiotic named Cindy who didn't have the audacity to handle people well. She was ill mannered ignoring our request and to make matters worse badgering us a couple to choose our drinks very quickly despite not seeing the menu placed on the table Who is she? Really. Worse off we were told to sit next to the door Imagining that cold weather on our faces. Further to this it was purely racist how come all Other Americans got the best table under a reserved card while we Africans are segregated. I am utterly pissed off and totally disgusted by how you downgrade people based on background personality. That lady or receptionist or whatever she does and her name is Cindy style her up take her to a proper training to know her place. Utterly disgusted customer Nkt!

Nice hotel. Roof was leaking a lot from a ton of rain. Food was great. Rooms are small, but nice. I would definitely go back.
