Taarifa Suites by Dunhill Serviced Apartments

A total gem. I've visited Nairobi 20x over the past 15 years, and I have a new favourite place to stay. I'm in a studio with balcony for three weeks — it's way bigger than any studio I've ever stayed in, it has a sofa and armchair, a desk and chair, three chairs on the kitchen breakfast bar, and a nice balcony too. Bathroom is a decent size. Kitchen has a hob and microwave (but no oven), and a big fridge freezer — perfectly adequate for me to cook for myself. Daily housekeeping is excellent, the room feels brand new when you return. Wi-fi is very fast — a speed test shows 23 megabits per second both download and upload. Located on the southern tip of Westlands on the edge of town, well-connected to just about anywhere really — though for most of the things you'll want to do in Westlands it's too far to walk so you'll need an Uber (only $2 and they always arrive within a couple of minutes).
I read a previous review about the place being slightly rough around the edges with roaches and stuff — maybe I'm in a renovated room — I genuinely can't fault it, and no sign of any 'wildlife'. If I'm picking nits, then the hot water can be a bit temperamental, but it's always hot enough for a shower even if sometimes only lukewarm. My room overlooks Thika Road so there is street noise — but living in a busy city myself, this doesn't bother me at all.

Great value for money. Clean and spacious room.
Washroom was a bit congested but otherwise maintained well.

Excellent high end accomodations in the heart of Nairobi. Suitable for short stays and long term rentals. Has in house gym and restaurant. Excellent staff and excellent service. Highly Recommended.

This is a lovely Apartment Suite. The building from outside does not do justice to its interior beauty.
The rooms are very beautiful. Simple with good esthetics. Nicely fitted for a comfortable stay. They are also very neat and quiet.
The staff are helpful and friendly.

Located on Ojijo road (debatable whether it's actually in Westlands or not), Taarifa Suites was well situated for my trip as most of my meetings and activities were in the Westlands area.
During my stay, I was in the studio room. Taarifa is really quiet and modern, design-wise. The kitchen had all the utensils you would need to prepare meals, the roomd all the amenities you would need to be comfortable and actually feel like you were at home. Away from home.
The gym is also well equipped and I would say the only thing lacking there is a weight bench and maybe a squat rack.
Taarifa has helpful staff… from the personnel at the reception to the sanitation team. They are friendly and courteous.

Excellent place! Great location and near by all great malls in Westlands. Great daily cleaning was done and rooms were nice and clean. Their housekeeping was good.

Upon entering the premises, one is greeted with an aura of opulence and meticulous care. The receptionists exude warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for what appears to be a cozy retreat. However, upon stepping into the room, while the furnishings are elegant, the decor feels somewhat dated and lacking in cohesive design.
Despite being advertised as a Luxury serviced apartment, the kitchen facilities fell short of expectations, limiting any culinary endeavors. Furthermore, encountering a significant presence of cockroaches within the cupboards was a notable disappointment, necessitating thorough cleansing of all utensils and surfaces before use.
While the housekeeping staff performed adequately, the presence of black mold in the bathroom, particularly on the sink and shower, was a glaring issue. The service team must undergo retraining to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of all surfaces, including tiles, toilets, and sinks.
In conclusion, while the stay was satisfactory overall, there are areas where improvements are necessary to elevate the experience to the promised standards of luxury and comfort.

Horrible internet (Zuku) and TV services that are not par with the hotel services. This provider doesn't help the hotel. The hotel should shift to a more reliable supplier. Otherwise, great location, in the middle of everywhere, not far FROM Westlands.

Great rooms and location however, very poor service especially for guests checking in at night, no dedicated person at the reception only one KK security guard who is very uncooperative and rude, this will tarnish the image of the location if not addressed immediately.

One of the best extended stay hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff are friendly and ever smiling. The view from the balcony is wonderful.

Rooms are clean, tidy,
Has Wi-Fi. And telivision.
Kitchen is well equipped with refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, and burner.
Bath has hot and cold water, and bath tub.
Service is slow, it took about 4 hours to provide us a room inspite of us booking the rooms 1 month in advance. Funny part is the suite provides one sachet of coffe and sugar meant for one cup for a room of four people. We have to purchase drinking water as well, fortunately there is a shopping mall very close.

The suites are very comfortable and the establishment is located in a very strategic position in Westland. All staff, starting from the receptionist up to the security guards, are very kind, friendly and attentive to any guest need.
Value for money is great and I highly recommend Taarifa suites!

Excellent customer care, safe neighborhood, multiple option apartments, rooms are roomy and spotless. It might be a bit noisy because its close proximity to the main road but it's completely tolerable. I'd absolutely love to go back anytime I plan to stay in Nairobi.

Great Place to stay close to the city center.
While the road is a bit noisy, this didn’t disturb us much. The staff is amazingly friendly and the apartments are affordable, clean and in great condition. We used it as a Homebase for whenever we had to return to Nairobi.
