Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea

From the moment you step into Manava Moorea, you feel genuinely welcome. The staff make an incredible first impression and that warmth continues throughout the entire stay. The service is absolutely perfect: attentive, professional, and always delivered with a smile. Everyone is consistently friendly and happy to help, creating such a relaxing atmosphere. The food is terrific and truly memorable. I had the best fish I’ve ever eaten in my life at the hotel restaurant. Special thanks to Julien, who made sure my stay, as always, went perfectly. But thanks to all the team really, as everybody is so nice from the reception to the bar, activity deck and restaurant staff, to those helping with luggage, and even the gardeners. There’s just such a great vibe at the hotel. The stay was booked through Tahiti Voyages, and the arrangements were handled flawlessly. An amazing experience all around!

They get 3 stars because we were on our honeymoon and I paid for a premium bungalow expecting privacy, there was NO privacy! Dive shop behind us loading the tanks early every morning, then worse the loud local kids! DO NOT STAY IN BUNGALOW 401. I am mostly upset at that, then to add salt to the wound bc of delayed flights I paid for a night I never got! And they charged me! No privacy (for a premium bungalow) maybe they should gwt 1 star. Otherwise the place was nice, the service ehhh not what I am used to at that price point! Food was good here though. I can never get those honeymoon memories of kids screaming and playing right next to our bungalow until sundown! It sucked!

This is a wonderful spot on the island. The staff is so incredibly lovely and friendly. Everyone in the restaurant was amazing. The 2 women making eggs every morning were a delight.
I was there with a family of 10 from grandma to grandkids, beach bungalows were a great spot to gather. Andy always had a smile 😀
We were there for Christmas Eve/day and the dinner and show was perfect. Maruuru everyone for the memories!

Only place I have stayed on the island but damn it was awesome! The staff is on it! My last day, I was sick and they helped me and my husband. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate, the bar on property has a happy hour every evening, the restaurant has a Polynesian performance which was entertaining. Within a reasonable walking distance to shops and a small grocery store. The rooms have a kettle, fridge, and some have a coffee maker. You can borrow snorkeling gear and flippers to explore the reefs, and kayaks.

My wife and I recently stayed at Manava Beach Resort & Spa and we loved our time there. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were all very friendly and helpful right upon arrival and throughout our stay. We pre-arranged some activities through the hotel and the concierge was very helpful and easy to work with once we got there to check-in. The food overall is good with a wide variety and the show on Wednesday was a highlight. Our over water bungalow was spacious, with easy access to the main building.
The hotel is close to some nearby shops and restaurants too which was nice to get out, walk around and see some of the local establishments. I would definitely recommend Manava!

This resort was absolutely beautiful. It was everything we could have asked for on this dream vacation. We had both a hotel room and a garden view room with a mini pool. Both rooms were clean and beautiful. The only complaint is our garden view room AC kept getting turned off, which was hard for my senior parents in the heat. But that is absolutely the only complaint we had. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. The pool was clean and beautiful. Plenty of activities available from kayaks to live entertainment multiple nights, to the option to make floral crowns and more. Their staff was friendly and beautiful people. They had some minor construction happening during our visit, but we were there at the end of their off-season, which just tells me they care for their property and do what they can to keep it well maintained.
If you want a luxury experience without the crazy price tag, this is your place to go!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay in a garden room with pool. What sets this place apart is the staff who were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. We had the breakfast and dinner package and felt the food quality was very high with plenty of options. Accommodations were spacious and clean and the grounds are well taken care of. The property is very close to the grocery store and shopping along with other food options. In addition, we rented scooters for a few days (a must to enjoy the island) from Alberts right across the street. Overall, I’d rate this a very solid 4 star hotel.

As we do recommend this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The bungalow with the private pool was cozy. However cannot recommend the restaurant (very bland food) overpriced and I felt a little queasy after eating a couple a days, also staff would get easily irritated. Would much rather recommend to eat across the street from the resort great place, loved the seafood skewers!

My husband and I stayed a couple of nights at an overwater bungalow at Manava Beach Resort before a cruise. It was our 35th anniversary. I wished we had a longer stay as we both enjoyed ourtime there.
The staff were super nice and the little things they put in our room were a very nice touch. (fragrant body oil, a black pearl pendant, a Tahitian cookbook) The room itself felt a little dark inside and slightly dated feeling.
I however loved sitting on our deck looking out at the water and being able to snorkel right off our deck.
I was initally disappointed with the snorkelling, as the reef looked quite bleached. There is quite a steep drop off. But when I went out later in the afternoon when the sun was not directly overhead, I spotted my first octopus! I was so excited! I also spotted a turtle. The second day I went out searching and managed to find the octopus again, in a slightly different location.
We signed up for the private lobster dinner by the pool which was set up very lovely (but the lobster was little tough)
I actually would come to Manava again just to see the octopus! I felt sad when we had to leave. Thank-you for a lovely stay.

There is nothing particularly wrong with Manava, but nothing really to recommend it either. The pool and pool area are older and modest in size, and look over the backs of the overwater bungalows so there is no real view from pool or restaurants. But clean and maintained. Not a large number of pool loungers, especially those with shade, definitely plan to lay claim early on nice days. At one point a French speaking couple made a huge scene claiming we had taken “their” loungers. I don’t know French but lots of hand waving and loud voices. We decided to move on rather than escalate. Whatever. The common beach is tiny and very close to the overwater bungalows, not at all inviting. The staff were pleasant but not particularly friendly. The overwater bungalows were OK but nothing special. The bungalow roof cut across the middle of the patio area at about 4 and a half feet high, making it hard to use the patio and partially blocking the view, an odd design. Things were kept clean, everything was serviceable, but at the price point, we had expected a more memorable experience.

A wonderful experience. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was truly magical! Waking up with a view of the ocean, fish below and the mountains at sunrise was just so special. Room was spacious and comfortable! Food was overall pretty good and the happy hour each night was great — cocktails are delicious! There is live music at the bar on a Thursday which we were lucky enough to be there for! Walking distance to a supermarket and some nice little shops and restaurants. Highly recommend the Manava, we were so sad to leave!
