Heard good things. Z… came for Sunday lunch ordered lamb … and a selection of sides … lamb cold and tough … all sides incorrect … and cold … spoke with the chef … allegedly a new guy and utterly ambivalent … won’t come again … shame.

Cosy atmosphere, excellent service, classic cocktails.

The best place to be, in deed an African restaurant, so amazing.

I was here for dinner. The place is calm, serene with old books to peruse. The food was sumptuous. They even lit a fire for us at the fire place. The road to the place needs editing though, from Google maps.

Caren actually is fine I had a meeting thefere with my employees and I liked the place, delicious meal and high hospitality: I work with the C I A so the security also was tight, …, big up.

This is a review of the restaurant and alone and not the entire Lodge. The ambiance is nice and cozy with several areas with different seating from formal dinner tables to cozy couches in front of a fireplace. Unfortunately the food and service let the experience down when we visited. Service was slow and the food was abysmal. The vegetable soup for instance was nothing but puréed potatoes, corn starch and water. The KCL (Karen Country Lodge) salad was a bowl of lettuce a few strips of lettuce and cucumber (this is not how it was described in the menu)

The food and entertainment on Christmas day was fantastic and suitable for a family set up.

The place is so cool and the the fine breeze? don't hesitate but go check for yourself.

Amazing and good experience to live in forest in same time that you are in big city like Nairobi.

Karen Country Lodge offers beautiful lodging in a quiet peaceful area outside Nairobi, with spacious cabins, good service and food, as well lovely gardens. Never seen a bathroom this big, however it is not a convenient one, as the sinks splash on to anything surrounding it. It was a comfortable stay, with decent Wi-Fi connection in the louareas, but none in the rooms.

Very nice quiet place meal and prices are good.

My friend's wedding in which I was a bridesmaid was held there… good grounds for photoshoots.

Very private place with beautiful garden. But you have to be a member to enjoy most of the facility.

Nice hidden gem in Karen. It's chilly so sweater up! Had a cuppa tea and sausages. The tea comes in a pot so you get one and a half cups (bonus). Sausages come with coleslaw salad. So they do go the extra mile. Looking forward to going back for a proper meal.

Tranquility redefined. I love the country feel and the lush green. The staff are super professional and helpful and the service is stellar. The food was good, not spectacular, but had an overall great experience.

The cottages are amazing. Great interior design. I had chicken curry for dinner, very very delicious. I will definitely be going back.

Cozy, great for events. More targeted towards higher end markets though misses the mark on some basics.

We arrived at Karen Country Lodge for a breakfast meeting as a party of four. We were told two different prices for the buffet breakfast that was available — except that we couldn't choose the food for ourselves, the waiter would do it! He reeled off a menu from his head and could not answer our questions about how much it would cost if someone wanted just cereal or just coffee and some confectionery. He went off to check with his supervisor and took forever to come back. At some point we gave up waiting and went off in search of another place to have breakfast. Such a pity because the setting of the lodge is so pretty and we had been looking forward to eating here for a while.

My husband and I got married at Karen Country Lodge a few weeks ago. The venue is amazing. The service was great and all the arrangements easy to make. Thanks Karen Country Lodge for making our special day more amazing than imaginable!
