I absolutely do not recommend. They will allow anyone in. If you are looking for an aspiration also experience, this is not it. Anyone you can encounter in your local, they will let in and worse.

Wonderful experience. We stayed twice on layovers in Nairobi. Very elegant hotel reminding us of colonial Africa. Elegant bar and two great restaurants. Staff bent over backwards service wise. My wife's backpack split, and when we went down to ask for tape for repair, the bellman actually said he preferred to sew it for more durability, and it was done in under and hour!

Attended the Kenya Fashion Awards launch held here. Great space for such events with an open bar, restaurant and hotel rooms. I also loved the food served during the event.

We were looking to treat ourselves. So decided to pop into the Fairmont the Norfolk hotel for high tea. What a treat it was. The high tea takes about an hour to prepare. So we enjoyed the beautiful gardens and gift shop while we waited. It was worth the wait. Food was of an exelent quality from sweet to savoury. Regina the local cat came to keep us company. All round a good experience.

We dropped in for lunch and Gin &Tonics. No end to the atmosphere and wonderful grounds (4 acres). We love these historic locations populated with ghosts of luminaries (i. E. Ernest Hemingway, Winston Churchill, Sean Connery, Mick Jagger, Angelina Jolie and sundry royals). You'll need more than one visit to take it all in. And the service is impeccable.

Customers are always wrong in the eyes of staff. Air condition in my room didn't work but the manager, after several calls and an povetnight, believes its only a complaint from over-sensitive costomers. A very disappointed top-rated hotel.

This hotel have a long history and character. The location is in the city Center and this could be sometimes an issue for the traffic. Each room have a small garden or terrace, despite the age the hotel is clean and very well maintained. I particularly like the lobby with the piano bar. Tough the breackfast could be improved. If you want still to have an African classic experience this is one of the few remaining places.

The place is perfect for international meetings, family parties, group meetings and individuals. In a very secure environment next to the Biggest police station in Nairobi area, The Central Police station. Also within the Famous University of Nairobi and Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation is a stone throw away. Free Wi-Fi available.

This is one of the best hotels in Kenya where you can the best hospitality services, they have a good parking Area, security is taken seriously, the best part of it is located in town and you don't struggle with traffic jam if you are in town. Also they have best conference rooms and they offer international cuisine to all people.

Had a fantastic dinner experience at the Tatu Restaurant. The food was great and the service from Elijah was just excellent. I will be back.

Its so nice and its mostly African. Got Africans terms and meals. Silent and convenient to stay. And nice views.

Warm welcome by staff. Amazing rooms with nice Kenyan figurines on your bed to welcome you. Just opposite the Nairobi Cultural centre. I loved the steak dinner at Tatu restaurant, the breakfast and lunch at the continental restaurant was nice. I also loved the variety of Tea available to guest. What I didn’t like were the mosquitoes at the red brick bar and the Tatu restaurant. Please fumigate the hotel regularly do guests don’t leave with malaria after their stay. It was annoying, having dinner and clapping to the mosquitoes.

Stayed at this hotel during my visit, one of the most beloved landmarks in the city. Has been on ‘bucket list’ and was worthy the safari. It's located just minutes away from Nairobi’s best attractions, including the city center. It was in the Academy Award winning film ‘Out of Africa’ and Sheldrick’s Elephant Sanctuary. The rooms we stayed in were clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating to our requests. Breakfast fresh produce and fit for a king.

Lovely environment and a great city view and proximity. Quite a historic hotel that has housed famous writers and prominent world figures. Its quite expensive but the service delivered is top class. Elegance and professionalism is maintained by the staff, in food serving with delicious cuisines. Has an excellently stalked boutique. The downside though is that they charge for the Wi-Fi either hourly or daily.

Arrived late in Nairobi and stayed here for the night. Excellent service upon arrival and the chef made a nice meal for two hungry travellers. The room was nice and waking up and walking into their wonderful garden made us realise that our vacation had started. Highly recommend the place. Uh and the have a spa!

I worked there once… they are best I love the place cool enviroment sweeet tastyfood… evrything is wonderful there… I do miss the place.

The fairmont Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi is a very beautiful place with many great features, including beautiful grounds, nice rooms with Wi-Fi and and wonderful dining facilities! However, a cautionary note: Have your laundry done elsewhere as it is extremely expensive! It cost us over $110.00 U. S. Dollars for a small load that cost under $12.00 dollars at every other hotel we visited… Complaining and reasoning at the reception desk only got me a "Hakuna Matata" that indicated to me their unwillingness to be fair or compromise. I will still visit the hotel but I will never have my laundry done there again. Outrageous!

It was my mums day out and I couldnt think of a better place. It was Simply amazing. The brunch offered a good selection, never had so much seafood on one sitting. All very friendly and jovial staff (Praxides, Joshua the Sous Chef in charge, Winky just a few to mention were all exemplary). Thank you for giving us a wonderful experience. I will be back.

Apart from being the best 5 star hotel it has the the best Restaurant in Kenya… the award winning Tatu Restaurant.

The history, architecture, staff, food and amenities… can't say enough good things about this hotel. It is a great peaceful oasis in the bustling city of Nairobi. We loved our stay here!

5 star hotel, facilities and service, although the room I stayed in was 4 stars at best in the oldest wing of the hotel.

Love the gardens and pool area. The rooms are a bit of a gamble. The last time I stayed there I had a TV the size of a postage stamp.

One of my favourite hotels in Nairobi. Manicured gardens with antiquities all around you, good variety of food. Rooms are spacious and the hotel has all the amenities required; gym, pool, sauna, steam room, conference facilities to name a few.

Comfortable business hotel but after a week, the cracks start to show. 5 stars because the hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating when exceptional circumstances arose. And also because of the heated pool. In general, I would certainly recommend this hotel. Take meals outside the hotel though, Nairobi has a lot to offer.

We had an excellent experience. Happy with the room and the facilities in general! Staff are friendly and helpful. One minus is that I had ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife (it was Vanetine, after all), reception staff even confirmed the collie with me, and the bouquet never came. Anyway, happy to go back anytime and I can certainly recommend the fine dining restaurant "Tatu", for me the no 1 in Kenya!

Very nice hotel with great food, pleasant staff and awesome views. Charging extra for Wi-Fi should be a thing of the past though, especially at a rate of $15 per day this is a no-go. Buy a local SIM-card with data package instead — with Safaricom I got 3GB for $10, that should last me for a month.

Couldnt ask for a more relaxed, awesome, romantic valentines get away after spending at Norfolk, hospitality and quality of service and food were just top notch. Envionment very clean, spacious and soothing, rooms are spacious enough and sophisticated. I would go back again for a comfy get away.

The bell boy was very welcoming, the reception was so rude and unprofessional at some point I felt discriminated as she suddenly left me talking to her to go rush to a "mzungu" to assist, didnt even excuse herself rude… dinning experiences was ok not all that compared to other world Fairmont hotels. Overal experience was just ok… Great location though…

Great hotel. Stayed here before and after a G Adventures tour. The rooms were clean, Wi-Fi available, constant hot water, with very friendly and accommodating staff. The food at the restaurant was nice and the breakfast was great. Definitely would recommend if travelling to Nairobi.

Nice place with a rich history.

Excellent hotel. I've stayed here many times and the standard and service is top notch. They dug me out of a hole this week when I got to the airport and realised I had left my passport at the hotel. They delivered it to me in time to catch the plane. How many other hotels would do that.
