Reviews of Osero Lodge 5*
Osero is a fantastic small camp in the middle of the Masaii Mara bush. It's protected by an electric fence and you have a luxurious tent with a big high end bath, and wood-fired hot water. At night you can hear the wildlife outside the camp which provides an authentic experience! Also step out at night to see the milky way for to no light pollution! As opposed to other sources there were no shortage of electricity at any time, and the staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. A Masai employee will guide you to your tent, the food on restaurant is authentic and very tasty, and the breakfast is served outside on their lawn. Would recommend anyone to stay here, who prefers private camps to the large lodges!
Small but lovely camp highly recommend lots of animals including lions.

Small camp lost in the bush, located 25 min from the Masai Mara park entrance, quiet, with very welcoming staff. Tents are large, locked with padlock, beds are firm (too firm? ), showers are spacious with hot water, generally ok even if the water smells iron. Expect some bugs, nothing horrible but small spiders and crickets in the bathroom. The separation between the toilet and the bedroom is made of fabric so not ideal for privacy if you are travelling with friends you don't usually live with :-) but hey it's a tent after all! Electricity generator doesn't work continuously but solar energy stored during the day takes over at night. Food in the evening is tasty and elaborated, positively surprising for this secluded space. Chef Sam seems to love his soups: butternut/ginger, beetroot cream… A Masai show happens some nights at dinner time. The Masai might invite you to dance. There is a nice pool area where your can be served sundowners as if you were in a 5 star hotel. The staff really does everything to make your experience special. Pool water is treated however it is not particularly clear… the insects again. The bar has a decent selection of spirits you can drink safely, wine and beers are also available. At night you can watch the stars with absolutely no light pollution you'll get a chance to hear the lions and elephants. A Masai warrior will assist you during the night if you need any assistance! We really enjoyed our stay.
