Royal Palace Hotel

Hotel staff were very accommodating and made our stay very comfortable.
They also provide free airport pickup/drop off.

The rooms need renovation and are poorly cleaned. Check everything in the minibar, they might screw you up.

Very bad!
The windows face a busy street, noisy.
The plumbing in the shower does not work. Water overflows from the shower stall when the overhead shower is turned on. Manual pressure is generally weak.
There is no hot water.
The sink is simply clogged and the water does not go down the drain.
Simply terrible.
From 11.00 to 19.00 there was no light. There was no way to charge phones. We didn’t receive any apologies 😏

I often stopped while traveling for work, more often than not everything tripled, all the nuances were quickly resolved.

There is a Smoking 🚬 prohibited sign in the room, but it still smelled terrible of cigarettes. For some reason, the robe is only for one person. The carpet is dirty.

There are so many negative reviews, I don’t know, but I like this hotel. When I come on business trips I always stop here. Of course, there is a cityscape outside the window, but if you want silence and nature, then you need to choose another hotel. The staff I found was always polite and friendly. There is a transfer from the airport to the hotel and back, the bed linen is clean, you can come and drink tea in the restaurant at night. So I confidently give it a 5 star rating.

Check-in was late, as we arrived at 1:30 local time on January 7, we booked a room on Booking for January 6, the cost of the room per night with breakfast included according to our status and the discount through Booking+, the tourist tax was 25, 000 tenge, when checking in at night we paid in full for the day. Imagine our bewilderment when we were denied breakfast, they tried to explain this to us by saying that we were staying for half a day and breakfast was not provided, while charging us for a full day. I consider this circumstance to be the incompetence of the administrative staff and I do not wish to confront anyone with such a phenomenon.

This review has been posted after my second accommodation in Royal Palace.
The hotel is so far from the airport and located in the old part of the city.
The staff are super friendly and polite, but the hotel itself is far from 4 star brand.
The water tap in my room toilet has no screens, so water just splashed everywhere wildly.
The shelf for holding the towels was hanging on one screw in an angle, which forced staff to use toilet flash tank and towel storage.
The view is not grate even from the top floors. You may see a brick factory 🏭 from the top (i know how to build up a brik now).
There was no action when I mentioned the issues.
I should mention the menu is quite cheap and hotels rooms are so quiet.
So it's not recommended in general.

Room is not cheap for KZT 25k per night.
Breakfast available at 7:00 AM which is too late if you are catching an early flight.
Service seems ok and crew is accommodating, but the downside is they cannot communicate in english.

Have stayed at this hotel three times. Convenient location relative to the airport, helpful and polite staff, non-smoking rooms, delicious breakfasts, air conditioning, cleanliness.

The location is terrible, the view from the windows is an industrial zone. It was terribly cold in the room, the technical staff came to adjust the air conditioner, she smelled of fumes. The whole hotel is smoky, the smell starts from the reception and so on throughout the corridor and rooms, the sink in the room is clogged, the water does not drain. The price does not include breakfast, but the price is the same as in good hotels. If I had known, I would never have rented a room in this hotel. We booked in advance and it was late at night, there was nowhere to go.
