L.E.S. Hotel LES Mini Hotel

Absolutely good place to stay here. Room and everything inside it is clean. Bath and toilets are shared but there is a worker who is constantly keeping them clean. Staff is kind and helpful. I like it.

Its a budget hotel so dont expect 5 star experience. But it is one of the best i've been in terms of location, comfort, cleanliness and staff.

This hostel is located in the basement where there are no windows and very poor ventilation! I do not recommend. But it is clear that they are trying but without air it is bad.

Stayed here during a business trip to Almaty. The business trip was spontaneous, so I didn’t book anything in advance, and when it came to choosing a place to stay overnight in this area, there were very few options in the budget. I settled on this option because of the high rating, and did not regret it. In terms of price-quality ratio, this is an excellent option!
Small but cozy rooms, shower and toilet on the floor. The bed is large, the pillows are comfortable, there is free tea, water and cookies. On the floor there are two toilets and two bathrooms with showers. Since there are about 10 rooms in total, this number was enough. Everything is very clean and tidy. The sound insulation, of course, is not ideal, but from 11 pm to 8 am the hostel is quiet (these are the rules), so the sleep was good.
The first night I lived in a double room, it was more spacious, and for the second I extended my stay, but there was only a single room, there is only a full-width bed and a chair with a tiny table. But it’s also quite cozy)
In the hostel area there are a couple of good cafes, and within a 15-minute walk there are very good restaurants.
Perhaps the only negative point is that the rooms have no windows (which in itself is not a problem if you just need to spend the night), but in the single rooms it was a bit stuffy in the morning, although there is ventilation that seems to work well.

I encountered a very unpleasant situation during my stay. I asked the employee if it was possible to bring guests into the room. The answer I received was yes. After 2 hours I come with a girl, we go to the room. He starts ringing the bell, breaking in on us, starting to come over with questions. Refer to some hostel rules (which contain nothing on this topic). You yourself just said that you can bring guests, okay? Moreover, she did not intend to stay overnight. I only came to visit for 2-3 hours.

I like the place, for single, and affordable, people so nice, highly recommended 🙏

The staff was polite, they greeted us, told us everything and showed us everything. They didn’t bother me again.
In my room I really didn’t like the presence of a forced hood that could not be turned off or turned down. She made noise both day and night. During my 3-night stay in the hostel, I slept at most 6 hours. I will definitely never return to such a room. I don’t know how things are in other rooms.

This is an interesting hostel — the front half is an office with cubicles and a small cafe. The back half is the hostel. You will walk through the office area to get to your room.
Pros: great location, easy walking distance to most things. There are a few mini markets right outside. The staff are very helpful and were able to organize a few tours for us. Had nice amenities (free laundry + drying racks, ironing board, free tea/ coffee/ cookies, a small gym, one shared refrigerator, microwaves). The bed was comfortable.
It is quiet at night. You can work during the daytime in the cafe if you need to. The Wi-Fi was good.
Cons: the room wasn’t cleaned while we stayed, although the trash was taken out. These rooms have no windows and no way to ventilate, so it gets very hot. You won’t have access to a kitchen, so meals will need to be premade or eaten out. The room is small but fine if you just need a place to sleep.

The hotel rooms are luxurious, although without a window: the room has a large wardrobe, table, TV, chest of drawers, bedside tables, 2 armchairs; All furniture is from one collection, one style. The closet is simply huge, with large mirrors. In general, the furniture is of good quality, as if new, not worn anywhere, nothing creaks. Shelves, doors and mirrors are clean.
The room has a large bed (queen size) with an excellent mattress, also as if it were new: it has never been worn out, it is elastic, it does not creak, not a single spring sticks out or collapses, even without ingrained stains, as happens with old mattresses. The bed linen is also clean, snow-white. And what pillows! Sooo soft, but not “liquid”, but quite elastic, the filler is not compacted. There are 4 pillows, so you can adjust the height to suit you. In general, sleeping in the room was incredibly comfortable, one might say even better than at home.
In the rooms, guests are given hygiene kits with toothpaste and a brush, there are bathrobes in the closet, and tea and cookies on the table. The showers have dispensers with shampoo and shower gel.
The hotel is clean both in the rooms, in the corridors, and in public areas. There are many mirrors in different places, all of them are clean, not stained, without drops of water. And what’s most important in this regard is that the showers drain well, so you don’t have to stand ankle-deep in water, as often happens in hostels.

Always delicious cookies, caramels, tea and coffee available free of charge and around the clock! And for breakfast you can always buy cheap cheesecakes, croissants or sandwiches and other delicious things! It’s a pity we always spilled the cheesecakes because we got up at noon) ) ) There is plenty of bottled water in the room every day!
We were worried that there were no windows in the room, but we lived there for 11 days and it didn’t bother me, since the room is very cozy, 16 meters away, and something like an air conditioner is constantly running, I don’t understand this, but the temperature in the room and the air were comfortable. Always crystal clean bathrooms. Where there is always plenty of shampoo and shower gel. There is a hairdryer in every bathroom. We never noticed a queue; the shower and toilet were always free. The room, which is unusual for a hostel, includes a robe and slippers.
The room was cleaned daily and clean, as always the bathrooms were crystal clean. Special thanks to the maid Natalya, who was always interested in whether we needed anything and whether there was enough water in the room. Very sweet and welcoming woman!

The hostel is a cheap option and the common area (shower, toilet) is kept relatively clean. There are free cookies and tea offered.
Now the downside: 1) the mattresses are dirty and old. I had trouble sleeping because I could literally feel the worn-out bed springs on my back. See it for yourself in the attached picture. 2) no breakfast was offered without prior notifications “due to the pandemic, ” but if you’re currently in Kazakhstan, everybody knows that this is just a convenient excuse to be stingy. 3) the walls are super thin, and I could hear my neighbor sneezing and watching YouTube videos well past 2 am.
FYI, I stayed in both the single and double rooms and I’d give the former two stars.
Won’t recommend staying here unless you’re broke or only care about the location.

Stayed at this hotel July 31, 2022. Everything is just super, for 7 thousand tenge in the center, everything is cozy, the room has everything. Polite staff. Separately, I would like to thank Abzal the administrator, a cool dude, he suggested where to eat deliciously, where to go to relax. I have never written reviews, but now I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

Excellent hostel, practically hotel rooms for little money. Clean, cozy, modern. Water cooler, constantly hot thermopot, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, cookies and sweets. Upon check-in, a bottle of water and disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided in the room. There are practically no queues for the toilet and shower. It's very quiet at night. We were in a Double room, quite spacious and cooler. In the Sleep room we found there was little space and more stuffy. But to each his own. The staff is polite and willing to meet you if you have any requests. Overall a great experience, I recommend it!

Stayed here for 2 nights and everything was great. Upon check-in, I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist and she did a proper quick tour of the hostel common facilities before handing the room key. What I really like about the hostel is the private space where you have a wardrobe, small table, chair, mirror, cup and saucer, and paper napkins. For a budget-friendly room rate, everything was grear in this hostel — amenities, cleanliness, security and location.

The best hostel I have ever stayed. Little tiny cosy rooms. Super clean. Great location. Staff super hospitable. Free snacks, coffee, tea. It will definitely be my first pick for my next stays in Almaty. By the way they even provide breakfast of your choice, room service and clean towels every day. I mean this place is actually a hotel, not a hostel.

The only downside is the sound proofing of the bedrooms. You can hear literally everything. But the management provides ear plugs, if you're sensitive to this.
Overall, great place to stay and work for it's price tag.

1. Double rooms are 9000KZT, single 6000KZT.
2. Super convenient location (near Abay station, plenty of cafes and coffee shops around)
3. Double rooms are quite spacious, we stayed at Moscow room, which had a big bed, a sofa, a table, TV, a wardrobe and AC. Some of the rooms are even bigger, some are slightly smaller (eg Paris room). The only downside — no windows.
4. Shared shower rooms, but all of them are cleaned after each use.
5. Good selection of breakfasts (included in the price)
6. Great service — the staff were super attentive and pleasant.
Overall best value for money you can get in Almaty, highly recommended!
