DANA First View Hotel

This accommodation was truly disappointing. I had high expectations going in, but several issues made the experience unpleasant.
First and foremost, the biggest problem was the dogs. There are about 4–5 dogs raised at this place, and they bark right in front of the rooms late at night. This is not a place where you can enjoy a peaceful and restful stay. The neighborhood dogs also keep barking throughout the night, making it noisy until dawn.
Second, there is no hot water in the shared shower facilities. The shower setup is extremely poor, and the toilets are dirty.
Third, the food is absolutely terrible. I couldn’t help but wonder how they could charge such prices for such low-quality meals. I had enjoyed a lot of delicious food elsewhere in the region, but this place was the exception.
Fourth, the Wi-Fi does not work. Once you’re in the room, you basically lose all signal and connection.
Fifth, I felt an unexplained itchiness after lying on the bed. I’m not sure what caused it, but the moment we moved to a different accommodation, the issue disappeared. That mysterious itchiness made the stay very uncomfortable.
Sixth, I do not recommend the tours offered by this accommodation which is unprofessional. I joined a tour booked through them, and the manager of the property also came along. It turns out they gather people from various places to join the same tour, and because of that, I experienced unexpected discrimination.

Our stay was amazing! The puppies were really cute and the amazing Mansaf that we got from the owners was the best Mansaf that we had in Jordan! And we can confidently say that after ten days in Jordan. The stay is surrounded by nature and has nice views, also the rooms are very cozy and cute. Just be aware that in the night it is noisy because of the animals (but that was communicated to us on beforehand so no problem at all! ) and that in the winter it can get a bit cold in the night because it freezes outside, although we received a heater and 2 blankets so not too big of a problem. Overall our stay was amazing and all of us greatly enjoyed it!

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were truly like staying in hobbit houses. They were very cozy, albeit a little cold. The two brothers running this are wonderful and welcoming. And the food was cheap, high quality, and with huge portions. This was the perfect place to stay to start hiking in the Dana Reserve.

Such an amazing place to stay. If you are looking for a cozy vibe and authentic Jordanian kindness you have to go here!
We really appreciated the company of Cesar, the very good food, the details given to every room and the cleanliness of the amenities.
We talked until late around the fire, meeting people and exchanging experiences as true friends.
It's also very close to the hikes of Dana and we were given plenty informations about them.
We really enjoyed our stay and recommend ++++

We had a lovely stay here. Unique, cozy, clean and well designed. I loved the privacy we had as a small group since the camp only has 3 rooms. I LOVED the rooms. So cozy with good insulation and firm mattresses. Dinner was good but breakfast could be better. There’s a really nice walk right by the place with farms and running spring water. Would stay here again any time I need a comfortable escape from the city.

The hobbits room are really a good in that place.

And the service was excellent, as you feel welcomed all the time and everyone is doing whatever they can to make you comfortable.
Food was very nice, them MUM is a great chef homemade meals absolutely you can taste the love and the care with every bite.
Just worth to visit.

The place is wonderful getaway from the crowded streets and life, the people running the place are extremely friendly and welcoming, the food is made with love, filling and tasty. I would give full stars if it wasn’t for how hard the path to the place was. But if you park away and continue walking, it will solve it.

Hobbits village was such a sweet place to stay. There are cute animals which we enjoyed a lot, and lovely trees and it’s very peaceful with good shade to spend time during the day. We used it as a starting point for Wadi Dana. We were able to leave our car for two days in the village with no problem.
We had dinner one night and breakfast as well, both were yummy and the value for money of this place is good.

We had a delightful stay in the Hobbits village and particularly warmed to the friendly animals that live there included Ghost the husky and Ginger the donkey. We can highly recommend the delicious breakfast offered by Yosef which can be consumed whilst enjoying beuatiful vistas of the Dana reserve.
If you're interesting in walking in Dana, then Wadi Ghuweir is a fantastic place to go. Yosef's friend Ahmed is a fantastic driver willing to take you to the start point and meet you at the end. He even met us with refreshing watermelon after a hot day in the sun!

This is a fantastic tastefully decorated property to stay, off from the city life almost in nature. Caesar (who does the booking) and his brother Yousef (who runs the property, along with his family) are very resourceful, kind and friendly. We felt absolutely being at home right from day one, with fantastic home cooked meals, thanks to their mom. The property has two very beautiful and very guest friendly dogs, a cat, lots of pigeons and a rabbit. Hiking from here with friendly guides (Sohaib & Ahmed) was fun. We did the Wadi Dana Trail (with Sohaib, and later picked up by Ahmed) and Shaq alReesh Trail (with Ahmed). Whereas the former involves a long hike, the latter takes one to a bit of climbing and getting off from cliffs, but absolutely to a spectavular beautiful landscape of Dana. Sunset from this property is a dream with a fantastic view. The hobbits village doesn't offer too many accommodations in their property, so one needs to be quick and a bit lucky to get a reservation. The rooms are very affordable and are absolutely lovely and tastefully designed. Warm water is available throughout the day, along with the internet. The bedding in the room kept us warm through the night in winter. Both the guides are funny, friendly, communicative, resourceful, knowledgeable and very informative, even though English is not their language.
