It is close to metro station.

The cafe has a great selection of international beers as well as a short order menu.

Not far from the station. Ordinary little Japanese numbers. Lots of foreigners. There are always people in the cafe in the lobby.

The room we booked had one 1, 5 person bed and to get separate beds we had to pay extra for a 3 person room where I had to sleep on a sofa bed with a steel rod running through the middle. Breakfast was included, but only consisted of toast, soup (broth of uncertain ingredients) and coffee or tea. All in all not the worst, but certainly not the best either.

Rooms are very small but price is very good and location is very convenient also staff is very friendly. Don’t expect too much from breakfast though:)

Hostel type rooms with great Wi-Fi decent facilities and great multi-cultural staff. Somewhat difficult to locate but otherwise a great affordable place to stay.

Non-compliance with noise guidelines by some people (it is not the fault of the establishment but it still annoys many), beds very uncomfortable, common rooms too small compared to the number of rooms, breakfast (to be paid in more) with crumb bread, jam and butter at will. Spartan Rooms: A Avoid if you have large luggage. The staff speaks in a suitable English. Close to the train station. Rates.

The price per night cant be beat. They give you everything you need (towel rentals for 100¥). You can even borrow a cellphone to use during your stay that has data on it! FOR FREEEEEEEE. Everything is kept VERY clean. Employees are super nice. Very close to all kinds of food and a large train/subway station. Beds are comfy but if you sleep on the top bunk, the bed frame makes quite a bit of noise when you move around. Im beyond pleased with this place and will look to reserve accommodation here again on future visits to Tokyo.

It is in very good area but the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, in the line of many hotels in Japan. The service is good.

It was definitely a place where we made great friends. Don't hesitate to stay here. All the staff gives you a great attention. There are people who speak Spanish. Find Maiko Shikato and Manuel Escudero.

Stayed here in July 2016 with a group of friends. Friendly and helpful staff, small but clean and comfortable rooms, and located very conveniently a mere 5 minutes from Ikebukuro Station, and on top of that the restaurant is good too. Liked it so much that we’re coming back!

The opposite side of the animation shop, from Ikebukuro Station about 5-10 minutes away, outside the night there are a number of wine house, lively, there are general super business (can not print network anime photo), backpack housing simple equipment sufficient, only up and down bed sound larger ｡

All ok and no problem wirh all other guests. All personal is always at your servixe. The room is with 6 beds. Shower are clean and also are the toilets.

I just checked in a couple of hours ago and the staff were very nice. I didn’t use any of my Japanese, and they were able to explain everything in English. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is on any kind of budget. I will add to my review a little later because I’m planning to be here for three nights. Wish me luck.

The same small room in the city of Tokyo, but it is not intended to be like sushi production teaching and occasional activities, so that children have a happy night.

A very good place to stay in Tokyo. We attend in Spanish, English, among other languages. The staff is always very attentive and will try to help you in any way they can. Have a coffee in front of the hotel open 24 hours, Very good to eat at any time of the day. I recommend it 1000%.

Great location. Room was basic but all you need just for sleeping there. Breakfast was little disepointment. Just bread, water, coffee and soup. Service was exellent.

Great location, go to a four-person (four people know), because of the Youth Inn, the room is large, the hotel treats people cordial, check-in is a Christmas schedule so the price is a little higher, but it is recommended.

Quite a nice hostel for the price. One of the girls at the concierge was lovely and helped us book dinner at a fancy sushi restaurant. We had come with some options in mind, and when all of those were booked, she found another comparable one. The rooms themselves were small, and the bathroom was smaller, but how much do you really need when you're just sleeping?

A good place, clean and cheap. As a strength, no curfew, you can go back to whatever time and have within walking distance, both breakfast bars and laundromat, post office and restaurants. Ten minutes ' drive from Ikebukuro Metro station.

A great alternative to big hotel chains. Rooms are small and bathrooms are about 2/3 the size of regular ones. Close to the train station. Nearby Sunshine City.

People who work there are very nice and the room is very clean but the bathroom is too small!

Cheap way to stay over in Tokyo. Offers a private rooms and dormitory rooms. My sister stayed at dormitory room and it was cost only around 3k yen per night. Good location, only around 10 mins from ikebukuro station.

Was a last resort accommodation for me when some accomdiation fell through. Budget hotel which is joint with a hotel, extremely basic rooms that are not in the best condition. But staff are very friendly, internet was fast and there is a 24/7 cafe connected.

It is a very good hotel, good service, especially fairly close to the station of the train with a very good price considering its good location.

Excellent location The location is very good, a 5 minute walk from JR station.
The rooms are very comfortable, the bathrooms always have hot water and the cleanliness is spotless.
The hotel has a laundry service and provides an iron and ironing board and clothes hangers on loan.
Breakfast service is paid, 600 yen per person and is buffet, so you can eat as much as you want! I recommend the soup! It's exquisite!

Great price for the proximity to station and Yamanote line. Even though we were a few floors up from the loud restaurant below we couldn't hear a thing in our room. Comes with Japanese television, and you can borrow a hairdryer for free at the front desk. There is a coin laundry facility in house that auto dispenses laundry detergent. The beds and pajamas are really comfortable, we were able to sleep right away. This is my second time staying here, I'm definitely a fan.

Very happy with our stay. Clean rooms, helpful staff and comfortable beds. Rooms are a bit small and only other down side was that a double room didn't seem to be any different from the single. These are really minor points however. We stayed in both the hostel floor and a hotel room and were satisfied with both. This is also in an amazing location. Very close to arcades, restaurants, train station and sunshine city is about a 15 minute walk away.

Has an excellent service and a good meal, like this located in a very good part of the city. The only negative is that the rooms are too small, they tend to be for two people and staying for a night.

The attention is excellent and the best thing is the breakfast service they offer. What I did not like at all is the space in the room, my room was full and being the last to arrive because there was no where to leave my luggage; the other girls were occupied throughout. They are not very strict in terms of eating and drinking in the room which was also very pleasant because my room olia to a combination between potatoes and sweat to reach and the use of the common areas was packed belongings of all those who used the floor. Details but I think to return.

First of all, it is not a hotel but a hostel. Second, the hallways have a sour and disgusting stench. Our rooms were dirty and had electrical sockets with broken prongs in it. Would not recommend to anyone.

Tricky name, it is actually a hostel and not a hotel. Dirty and very, very smelly. I've been in many other hostels in Japan of which all were magnitudes better. The location is good and very close to the original station and shopping, but I would highly recommend another place to stay.

Great hotel for explorers. Cheap rates, room was kept clean. Very close to train station and lots of stores nearby for basic necessities. I know they offer other services but like I said this was great for me as a place where really just needed bed and bathroom. Just a place to put stuff in and sleep as I spent all my time exploring Tokyo. My interaction with staff was limited but they were friendly and helpful. I only ate once or twice there but I do appreciate the fact that they operate a late night restaurant and have cheap breakfast. I hope I can visit again one day and will definitely come back here.

I want to go to Japan at age 17

This hostel is a brief walk from the station and a lot of shopping and dining in each direction. All the staff speak English and Japanese. There's a cafe across the street that counts as part of the hotel, but breakfast there is 350 yen for nothing but toast. The beds are like every other I've experienced in Japan so far — very hard. The showers are not private in the sense that they're not attached to any one room, but they are individual rooms with locking doors.

Great location, washroom are good. Had trouble connecting to Wi-Fi. Good place to be at though.

The best thing for a small fee! Good location, good service, the size of the bedroom with 2 bunk beds is the size for one person almost but is Tokyo, and here the space not surplus so it's normal.
And it has Wi-Fi which is also important for planning your trip.
They also let you store your luggage while these out before and after entering, that Yes, it is an open place and not very sure, they don't have caller ID so be careful if you keep valuables.

A simple place but good room quality. It's clean but there is a smoking place outside and people who hates smoking will feel a little annoyed each time they enter or leave the hotel.

Staff incredibly friendly and willing to solve all questions, very committed to his job. Comfortable Hotel and excellent price for being in Tokyo, the traditional room (3 to 5 people) is beautiful and welcoming, allows you to feel like a real japanese.

The Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro is the perfect hotel for a young traveler on a budget. It's location is great, near many restaurants and things to do, plus a JR station. The exterior is a bit sketchy, and it extends into the main lobby, however, the rooms are pretty well kept. I was lucky enough to stay in the Ryokan room, which I would reccomend to anybody looking at the hotel. It was very clean, and very big as well. There was another group in a different Ryokan room, and it smelled a little bad. The only gripe with the hotel that really was bad was the fact that they kicked us out at 10:00 A. M. When our flight didn't leave till 8 P. M. They were nice enough to keep our bags in a secure room, and they let me check my room to make sure that they didn't miss anything. It's not for someone who usually stays at a Hilton.

Really cheap and good for the price.

Stayed for 4 nights. It is good. If you would like to save some money for your trip, this is a great place to stay. It's clean. Location is pretty safe and convenience too. Near JR and Metro subway. You can leave your luggage at the storage room, but I suggest to bring a lock with you as the room is free to get in and out.

It was a best affordable hotel I could see within our budget. Most comfortable very good hospitality by all staff at hotel. Would also recommend my friends if they will travel to Japan and personally would prefer to visit Sakura hotel again :) from INDIA.

I stayed there the whole month of Aug. They are great cause they are cheap. The staff is excellent and friendly. They helped me a few times. There is a station about 5 — 10 min walk from the hotel. There is restraunts all of the place, you don't have to worry about not finding a place to eat. Even McDonalds, KFC, Burger King if you don't like Japanese food. They are also near great shopping areas in Ikebukuro. Which I have visited many times. I would recommend it to the budget traveler and to anyone who just wants to check it out.

Had a two week stay, they give a multi week discount so I saved even more. The bed is hard but I got use to it. I got the small single. No place to put things away but that is ok.

Basic hotel, small rooms like everywhere in Japan. Economic area for shopping and food, very accomodating. Very kind! Many young Japanese are here. Economical and simple breakfast, but if you want a good coffee there are a few hundred meters to several "bar" with pretty good croissants. But how do the breakfast with Japanese style soup.

The place is full of foreigners. The outdoor cafe is always packed with smokers and all types. The room its small with 4 channels of TV all in Japanese. They don't allow visitors in your room for any amount of time. Not bad for a super budget hotel roomor just a place to Larry your head down. The local area is packed with probably a few hundred hostess bars so its interesting to watch the girls go to work all dolled up. Anything more than a few nights stay I would get a better place to stay.

Good price/location but food is iffy. Recommend the breakfast deal though.
