Standard APA Hotel. Service was great and location is fantastic (close to everything, including Shinjuku station, shops etc).
Rooms are very small though, especially if you’re a bit taller.

You get what you pay for. Decent sized room for a small couple. If you have heavy duty luggage then I’d avoid. If you’re travelling with backpacks you’ll have enough space.

We were really impressed with Hotel Cen, although the rooms were not the biggest we had enough room to take out all our packing cubes and store them on the side and put our backpacks under the bed.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Cen! The location is absolutely amazing — centrally located in Shinjuku, 7 min to the next train station and 5 min to 7-Eleven.

Great hotel, rooms are small but very clean, lots of amenities, staff is really great! Very nice very helping. In the common area free drinks alcohol snacks and etc… this is the second time.

This place is truly worth the stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly to us even if they didn’t speak English.

Good location in Shinjuku. About 5 minutes to Shinjuku station and lots of dining options nearby.
Initially thought that the hotel and its rooms would be dated but everything was good and well kept.

I would like to personally recognize Kayama for her knowledge and professionalism in checking us in and extremely helpful personality she took very good care of us during our stay.

Was nervous to stay in a hostel again as a 36 yo solo woman. Only the mixed dorm was available.
Shower room and bathroom was pretty clean.

Nice cozy room for family of 4, the reception attendant was kind to provide early checkin. Room and bathroom were clean, bed were comfortable.

We stayed her for a few nights at the beginning and end of trip and it ticked enough boxes.

Location, location, location. Right in the middle of bustling Shinjuku with the Golden Gai pub strip directly behind the hotel.

If you’re planning to stay in Shinjuku, not far from Kabukicho, this hotel is definitely worth considering. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are small.

I enjoyed my stay at this location. Rooms were cozy and perfect for a single traveler. Each of my family members had their own room and staff was able to put us on the same floor.

Very good hostel in an excellent location. The staff was super attentive and friendly, and everything was very clean.

A good breakfast. The beds were exceptional for a Japanese hostel. (Vertical instead of horizontal was the only complaint, but it was an important one for me). The beds were very soft.

The rooms are quite big by japanese standards and compared to APA they are enormous. I was pleasantly surprised at the space.

Deluxe family room was spacious and had a kitchen. Comfy beds, good shower and great towels. Best budget triple share on our 4week trip.

Although it felt a little old, it was well-maintained and clean. Full of amenities. The bathroom had two showers, although it probably differed depending on the room.

This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect when booking a love hotel but if you don't have kids this is the place to stay. This hotel has the most anemieties I have ever had.

I have stayed here 3 times in a row when I traveled to Japan. The price is reasonable with all function in one room.

A wonderful hotel, I have 0 faults. It was surprisingly large for a Tokyo hotel room (they are usually very small) but I did have the room to myself.

Great location, short 15 min walk to Shinjuku and very close to a train station if you’d prefer to take the train there.

Great value for the location next to multiple subway entrances, convenience stores, easy walk to Kabukicho. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Get the breakfast it’s great.

The location is great, just walking distance towards Shinjuku northern attractions and a block away from Korean restaurants and Don Quijote.

Great and very well located hotel, we stayed there for 10 nights in December, no problems at all.

Although not all staff are friendly and accomodating and the JR station is a little bit far. I will still recommend this hotel coz I really had a good time staying there.

Great hotel — much better than expected actually — we are a family of 4 with 2 kids 10 and 12 and they absolutely wanted to try it — we all had our own capsule — Staff was very friendly and English

If you are a book lover and want to stay at the centre of Tokyo, also want to enjoy the nightlife, this is one of the good options to stay. For solo travelers it’s recommended.

I stayed here for 3 nights to get the experience of a capsule hotel, and it was great! The amenities are abundant, the location is fantastic and all of the staff were extremely polite and helpful.

I had a great stay at Anshin Capsule Hotel in Shinjuku. The capsule itself was surprisingly comfortable, quiet, and well-designed, making it easy to get a solid night’s sleep.

This place was fine for the price. Our room felt like a bunker with no window, but the area of town is perfect for a visiting couple or friends. Staff was nice too.

Great for what we needed. Pretty close to metro station. Small but all we needed was for sleeping since we would be out all day. Hot shower and a bed. Quiet, nice AC. 👍
