Great people, hospitable staff, tidy rooms and bathrooms, really fun takoyaki parties — awesome experience!

I had a great experience at this hostel. I met a lot of great people from all over the place and the staff was amazing as well. If you have a chance, take advantage of the all you can eat Takoyaki night. Also, you are within walking distance or quick train ride to many Tokyo attractions.

We stayed here 2 nights — The place is cozy, quiet and not noisy at all. The room size were sufficient for us and we get to experience sleeping on tatami mat. Breakfast was yummy.

A cool hostel in a kicking district. Accomodatuon is clean, private and comes with aircon, excellent shared bathrooms and a laundry. You can pay for ypur accommodation by credit card. The Cafe (cash only) serves great value for money food (local and western) and there is an English type breakfast (well, panini and chips/thick cut potato wedges and cereal). There are daily evening events which are great for mingling with the other residents.

Imano is the best! We had so much fun there. Friendly staff and super clean facilities. Yummt breakky and great location too!

Rooms were pretty cozy, and the availability of Internet throughout the hotel. The location itself has many restaurants near by, and it's a pretty good hotel by itself. While they do skip on a couple of things, the overall experience is nice if you're simply looking for a place to stay overnight.

The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and there was a cafe/bar on the first floor. It was a nice stay but a bit pricey to stay there compared to other hostels. It also didn't offer as many amenities/perks as others (e. G. No towels were provided and no organized events).

The private rooms are very small. There is just enough room for your luggage and when it's time for bed, everything needs to go back into your bags. The staff spoke fantastic English and were really pleasant. We felt safe and the room was clean. Our floor had a single toilet and a single shower for men which were often occupied. After their night out, neighbours got quite loud. Laundry facilities are available. I liked the breakfast. Also, the place is really good value for money. Traveling with a kid (ours was 3) was not an issue. I'd recommend the place as long as you can deal with a very small room (note: Tokyo is not known for its large rooms).

A lovely little hostel 10 minute walk from Shinjuku. Super friendly staff who all speak Japanese & English. Very clean, good bathrooms, hang out areas etc… The dorms are also fine. 600 yen breakfast is pretty good & offer a veggie option. Also if you’re looking for a night out, this is a good location to stay in if you don’t want to get the last train home.

If you're a tourist traveling solo or duo, it's a nice cheap alternative to the exorbitantly expensive hotels in the city. You get a nice bunk with an insanely comfortable comforter and a lamp with outlets to charge your electronics. Worth the money and a nice roof over your head for a couple of nights.

Great location. Facilities are good, very nice shower and comfortable beds (bare in mind the mattress will be thin). Breakfast is not free but we'll worth getting.

Easily accessible, clean and nice hostel. It is a short 15min walk or a quick bus ride away from Shinjuku station. Staff is knowledgeable and Japanese. Beds are well partitioned with excellent privacy curtains. There really wasn't enough room for the average medium to tall person to sit up without issue. The mattress is just a thin pallet over wooden base, but I slept well. Breakfast has scant options (cereal and a panini platter), but is delicious. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Very friendly for foreigners. It's clean and well kept. About a 4 minute walk from kabukicho. Convenience store close by. Does have laundry services and multiple showers and a lounge area. Certainly recommend for weekend travelers and people staying for a long time.

Amazing hostel! very well located, close to Shinjuku attractions. The only thing I didnt like was the fact there was no paper towel in the rest rooms… you can wash your hands but you cant dry them… you night bring your towel EVERY TIME. There was one time they left napkins but they were just too thin to dry your hands. Other than that I think I had a great stay! I would go back.

This hostel is in a great location, especially for those looking to stay out late. It is very close to all the bars and restaurants in Shinjuku and right next to the Golden Gai. No worries about missing the last train home. The facilities are clean and the staff is nice. Each bed has a plug, light, and curtain. The luggage storage situation is not great though. The beds fill most of the room so there is just enough room to maybe line up suitcases against the wall. I did my fair share of tripping over them. There are small security lockers but they are so small I can't fit much more than my small handbag inside. It is more for holding your passport or cash than anything else. As well there is an elevator which is nice but at least on the ladies floor all bathrooms had a large step up to get inside. Each floor has its own common room with tables and chairs. However without a central hang out location other than the bar downstairs it was a little hard to socialize. The kitchen was mostly just a refrigerator and microwave, I couldn't find any plates, cups, or utensils. There was no particular dining area with it either. Overall it is a great location, but might be hard too socialize as a solo traveler if that is what you are looking for in a hostel.

Perfect hostel! It's not really cheap but it's worth its price. It's so well placed. They have good breakfast, and it's all very clean and comfortable. I would come back if I visit Tokyo again!

Great hostel, quiet and clean. Staff working there are awesome. Had breakfast once, it was delicious.

For a hostel its very clean, the staff is super friendly and ready to help you with anything. I was having trouble with my pocket Wi-Fi and they were quick to help me resolve my problem, they ended up calling in the company and arranged for another pocket Wi-Fi to be delivered the same day. Overall, I am very pleased with the hostel and people here. Its well priced and the beds are very roomy and private. They have events every week, great to meet other solo travelers.

Location is good. The streets in Japan are narrow so it looks like it's off an alley way. I walked to the atm at 3 am and I was fine. The area is in good location. Just be prepared for a lot of drunk people. The hostel was ok. Out of the 3 I stayed in while in Japan it comes in 2nd place.

Super nice staff!, great facilities, perfect location and there events are frequent! No better way to make new freinds then to hang out in the cafe cook Takoyaki, play some mario cart, make origami and chat to the other hostel guests and very awesome staff! Sounded by lively Tokyo I was there for a a couple of weeks and had the time of my life! Wana explore tokyo with some cool people? Check out IMANO Tokyo!

Cool place to stay. A little far from Shinjuku jr station but nice friendly staff. You stay in capsule like beds separated by walls with curtain for privacy.

The staff here is very friendly and will help you with everything you need. The location is good and this is an easy place to meet other travellers. The price for a bed is reasonable, but prices for extra's like borrowing a charger, or a towel are outrageaous.

Good hostel. Brilliant location, convenience stores near by and major spots are walkable. Nice, helpful and funny English speaking staff. Good food and bar. Atmosphere is a bit lacking. The bedrooms are fine and generally comfortable. What you expect for the price. Facilities here are also great.

Pretty decent beds. The room was really hot and the air con didn't work so it would get stuffy. If you're on the girls only floor expect to be woken up early by the sound of people talking in the common area. Really clean hostel, friendly staff. I wish they did a pub crawl night here or something! Really good area close to a 7 eleven and metro line. Close walk to shopping districts. Cute, cheap breakfast in the am.

Positive: Excellent staff, best I've encountered in Tokyo by far. Good location Excellent food Decent drink selection reasonable price considering the location. negative: NEEDS LOCKERS! This is probably the ONLY hostel I've gone to that did not have lockers for guests to put their things in, which means you have to sleep next to all your stuff or place it outside your bed for anyone to take. If you're staying more than one night you also have to leave all your stuff inside your bed, again, without any security. No bueno.

Really lovely place. It's very well maintained, and the staff are super kind, attentive and helpful. There's an on site bar, and they also serve food. The Japanese breakfast is amazing, very well priced. The rooms are tiny (it's Tokyo), but always clean and doesn't feel overcrowded. The bed is comfy and has a lot of privacy with a thick curtain all around it. Great amenities too.

Amazing staff, great food and share rooms which are spacious.
Cleaning staff are amazing fast. Location is superb as it close to subway and to the Shinjuku station from where you can take direct train to Narita airport and have an access to other JR lines

The absolute best hostel I've ever stayed in! I highly recommend it! Extremely friendly and helpful staff accompanied with a great bar and beds what more can you ask for. :)
