Capsule Hotel Asahi Plaza Shinsaibashi Hotel

It's not a bad hotel it's just really annoying to live in I stayed for about 2 hours checked it out then booked another hotel. Shower has 0 privacy and lockers we a pain in the ass.

Excellent location and cleanliness despite it's age.

Near Namba Station. Within walking distance. The service staff is very helpful. Carry-on baggage can be delivered at reception for a small fee. Safety is guaranteed. In the immediate vicinity of the capsule hotel are many shops and smaller restaurants. In Namba you meet in the evening to celebrate. I like to come back.

This is perfect if you are travelling solo in Osaka. There are locker rooms where you can put your luggage. Common Bath and Powder Room in Ladies Area. Complete with Shampoo, Conditioner, Facial Wash, Facial Cream, toothpaste and toothbrush. Hair Dryer is also available. This is near Dotonbori Shopping District.

Nice capsules. Provides pajamas which are really cozy. Mattress is very thin so a little uncomfortable. Bath and sauna are great but only open from 3pm.

Good experience but lockers showers and sleeping capsules are all on separate floors.

I don't even want to give away one star. It was absolutely an awful experience. The staff weren't friendly at all and quite rude to foreigners. If you're not Japanese, get away from here!

Nice but worn out. The bath area would need to be renovated. A good option for the price you pay per night.

Very good price vs. Quality ratio. Tidy interior in general and the spa for men very nice. Only minus is that the tobacco smoking is allowed inside in the cafeteria and in the group rooms.

Interesting for one night or low budget traveling, but I would not recommend a longer stay. The capsules can not be locked, just closed with kind of a hard curtain. That means you hear ever sound your 20 neighbors are making. The bed isn't the most comfortable too. Very nice onsen though.

OK but in terms of capsule hotel you can find better. Take the capsule TV and plug one can more expensive, but nobody does therefore not neighbour! ensure a good night!

Absolutely love the place. It was comfortable and although it can be loud at night if u r a light sleeper. And be aware that there are x-rated channel so probably not child convenient place to stay at.

Just a perfect place! Sauna hamman, multimedia, massages, etc.

One of the rare capsule hotels for women this offers a nice sauna and bath facilities. The service includes daily clean pajamas, 3 towels, sponge, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial wash, etc. The capsules are an experience and there is a room with a dozen make up stations with lotions hairdryers and sterilised hairbrushes. Considering the budget price of 2900¥ per night it's great value. The location is perfect, just a short stroll from Dotonbori and surrounded by restaurants.

This place is small and local that comes with a price tag that is cheap and cheerful. As you enter you are told to take off your shoes and place them in a locker. Then you get your locker and capsule key. The place can be seen as dirty, but I believe that it is old and it hasnt seem to be renovated in a while. It smells a little musty, but this is because people are still allowed to smoke indoors in some areas in Japan. The showers are communal (all capsule hotels are like this). Hygiene is well kept but if you're not used to seeing naked people walking around freely, then this is not the place for you. The capsule is centrally located and easy to get to all the main spots.

Affordable and clean. I love the place but not the rude and noisy travelers, specially the Chinese nationals.

Environment women and health security, but the front Desk completely the audience. In my bed don't have a charging power source from an underground level to the ground, Deposit locker charge. Travel phone here to charge more depressed. My English is not good, want to change the bed not to change the attitude of okay, I'm Korean. After attitude immediately changed, Japanese people really! 나쁜 기억

Place is dirty and smells musty in many places, the lounge just outside the capsule area permits smoking. The toilet mat is grimy. The shower area doesn't look or feel too clean, just acceptable. Sleeping area is relatively clean, only special thing is the comic room filled with lots of Japanese manga if you read them. Don't go unless you really want a substandard capsule experience. There are better capsule places.

No plug in the capsule. Stuff in the front desk was nice. Cleaning was started at 9 am, so it was a bit noisy.

For the price and location five stars. Bath and sauna are a plus especially after flying into Osaka.

No Wi-Fi in rooms and 200¥ per luggages are the main negative points. However, great location in Dotonbori, nice staff and awesome public baths with sauna.

I have lived in more than 40 hostels. This is the worst hotel I have lived. The staffs were quite unfriendly. You have to change the locker key and shoes key every time when you come in and out. No Wi-Fi in the capsule room. For big luggage, you have to pay 200yen per day to store it. Some capsules do not have plug to use and the staff didn't tell me in advance. Really bad experience.

After being in Tokyo this place seemed seedy and dirty. Walking around barefoot on their dirty carpets didn't help. Also, after signing a pricing agreement in English at the beginning of our stay they mistranslated the contract and made it void after our stay requiring different prices than what we signed for.

This capsule hotel has a policy against admitting trans women, and has a sign up that asks for its patrons to report them to the reception on sight. Despicable. Don't support this crap.

I love capsule hotels, and this place was no exception. It was quiet and the temperature was just right. The public bath and sauna was spacious and there were many things to try. If you're brave you'll go into a freezing cold shower that sprays high pressure from all directions. There's a few rooms off to the side for entertainment. I noticed a sign for "natsukashi games" and borrowed a Famicon (Nintendo) controller and played the Japanese version of Super Mario Brothers 3 for over two hours before finally going to bed for the night. Foreigners are totally welcome here. I noticed Americans, Malaysians, Europeans, and Japanese.
