Fairfield by Marriott Nara Tenri Yamanobenomichi

Stayed 10 days here during the cherry blossom season. The hotel is fairly new (from my assessment) and clean. Room size is quite generous for Japan and fairly consistent with the Fairfields in Japan’s and Korea. There is no onsite restaurant but there is a complimentary coffee machine and microwave and toaster on the ground floor, along with a lounge area to have a drink or eat your takeouts. There is also a pork cutlet (tonkatsu) restaurant 50 meters from the hotel which is delicious, it closes fairly early at 8pm though. The staff are very helpful and courteous and were very helpful in recommending us some local sights for the hanami season. Bonvoy Titanium benefits are limited here, we did get a room on the top (4th) floor with a view towards the city so I’m guessing that the Elite Status helped towards that. Highly recommended if you’re ever in need of accommodation in Tenri.

A wonderful experience, the hotel is very clean, excellent services and very close by the Tenri Station. Coming here to a quite enjoyable and nice to be away from the bustling crowds! The restaurant and grocery store next door makes it convenient to grab some fresh fruits and very cute sweets and other foods.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The bed was fantastic. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. The staff was extremely kind and helpful to us, being tourists who speak little to no Japanese. Highly recommended if staying in Tenri. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Was really impressed by this hotel. The rooms were very clean, had everything you could need and we're generally impressive. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The best service I've received since being in Japan. The location is a bit out of the way but it's only a 5 min taxi ride from Tenri station and the taxi drivers have all been exceptionally pleasant too. Tenri is now my favourite place in Japan and that's in part because of this hotel.

A really peaceful hotel in a green and silent place.

The staff were wonderful! I left some valuable things in my room in the rush to leave on time and they sent them to me promptly! Anyone staying here will find a friendly atmosphere! Also, everyone was helpful in pointing out some of the points of interest in the area!

A small little hotel which offers excellent value.
It is conveniently located next to a sort of community mall, so no worry about food, drinks, or other necessities.
The room is cozy, with a sofa, a little round desk to do a work The bed, comforter and pillows in excellent quality.
Shower has a very nice pressure and temperature is pretty stable. The toilet is a bit small but functional, not too cramp.
There is a sliding door which can closed off the restroom section.
On ground floor there is a mini kitchen where you can heat up the food with a microwave and a toaster. There is a coffee/tea machine where you can make all sort of drinks.
Laundry room has 2 small washers (5 Kgs) and 2 dryers. Both of which are coin operated. The washer costs 200YEN for a wash, the dryer is 100YEN/20 min. It is low heat so you will want to dry it longer than usual. For my wash, I used 60min, for my sweaters they were still a little damp.
The internet speed was not bad (about 23MBps for download and upload). Everything is near perfect. Only complain is that the room was a little small, and there is only BBC on TV but who watches TV anymore.
Overall recommended!

Jetting into Osaka and picking up our rental car from the airport was a little delayed. We had dropped by the Rinku Outlet for a wee walk about before starting our drive to Nara.
We had booked this hotel as it was newly opened and the family has a thing about newly opened hotels.
The hotel is slightly out of the way and not located within central Nara so a car will be needed. It is located onsite a bus station but we hardly noticed the traffic. The hotel is located in a fairly secluded area and the air was fresh in the morning!
The hotel is as you expect in a Fairfield Marriott. They had minimal staff 2-3 when we checked in and barely spoke English. They were very helpful and tried their best to communicate. There was not onsite restaurant but there were self service drinks station providing coffee and tea 24/7. We were looking for a place to have dinner and on the recommendations of the staff, we tried the Tonkatsu restaurant next door. Being tourists and having had Tonkatsu over the years in Singapore, I was not expecting much. However, there was a longish queue to get a table and I can understand why! The food was very very good! The Tonkatsu on offer was excellent … it was crispy / juicy (I am even salivating thinking about the food! ).
There was no restaurant onsite at the hotel but they served a cute very "photogenic" breakfast bento set. It was sooooooooo lovely that the family refused to eat it!
The rooms were clean and reasonably sized for Japan.

Very friendly Team, Location is Not near the City Center therefore very calm and near to the yamanobe nomichi trail. The Shop and Restaurant next to the Hotel offers good breakfast and tonkatsu Menus and the Shop has a very good selection of high quality locals products. We used the luggage Delivery Service there and the Team was so nice and helpful, thank you!
I Like the Fairfield rooms, every Detail is very much selected and the available space is good.

The hotel is new so it’s immaculate and the beds are very comfortable. Had a really peaceful sleep here. The rain shower was nice. Free coffee in the lobby, too.
That being said, this is really only a place to go to if you need somewhere to sleep that’s clean and comfortable. They don’t have a restaurant or a bar so there isn’t much to do. They also don’t really have amenities for women that other hotels in Japan typically have, like makeup remover and skin cleanser. Thankfully I brought my own just in case. There’s also no bathtub, but that was fine because I liked the rain shower.
