I fully acknowledge that I made a booking mistake by reserving a bed in the female dormitory. I also acknowledge that I arrived at approximately 9:15 PM, slightly after the stated check-in deadline of 9:00 PM.
I accept responsibility for both of these mistakes.
However, what disappointed me was not the enforcement of these policies themselves, but the way the situation was handled.
Despite having paid in full and making every effort to reach the property, I was ultimately left without accommodation for the night. While I understand that I could not be accommodated in a female-only dormitory, I had hoped for more practical assistance in finding a solution.
I was told that I could not remain in the common area because my presence might make other guests uncomfortable. To clarify, I was not asking to stay overnight in the common area. I only hoped to remain there temporarily until around 5:00 AM while arranging alternative accommodation or transportation. Being asked to leave entirely made me feel unwelcome at a time when I was already in a difficult situation.
I also requested a 50% refund as a goodwill gesture, considering that I ultimately received no accommodation service. This request was declined.
Regarding the alternative room that was mentioned, it was not clearly explained whether I only needed to pay the difference in price or whether I would be responsible for the full additional cost. As a result, I was unable to properly evaluate that option at the time.
I stayed there when I went on a pilgrimage to the 88 holy places. The place is clean and tidy, but the owner's attitude is beyond criticism, making it seem like the guests are bothering him. He asked me to make up the bed and explained how he expected it to be done, and in the morning before I left, to remove all the linens and put them in a laundry basket. It's a good thing he didn't ask me to do the laundry. If this is not your last resort, it's better to skip the place.

Lovely guesthouse owner. Had a washing machine and a balcony for drying clothes, and location is great. Not as much privacy as a hotel but it was a really unique experience.
