Overpriced. Its a nice place, clean and tidy. The beds are private and quite spacious.
But for that price (around 4500 jpy) I would get much better kitchen, free laundry, good heating, and a nice living space. These were all absent, so im disappointed about this place. If the price would have been lower I would say its a mediocre place and move on.

Problem was that I got food poisoning and had a very bad night. When I complained the next day, the manager didn’t do much about it and since I had to cycle, I had to leave. But that struggle was real.

We only ate at the Cafe, as we were staying at the Ryokan down the street. The food and drinks were great! Such diversity on the menu, all cooked so well! And nice it was open late! Almost everything else was closed by the time we got into town on our bikes, and the Izakaya (traditional pub) across the street was all booked up for the evening.

Clean, cheery new hostel. Lovely beds & showers, washing machines. V comfy single rooms with lockable doors & aircon 👍

My partner and I stayed in the SANDO hostel for one night during our cycling trip. We booked a dormitory style beds and we were both pleasantly surprised how great it was. They also offer private and family rooms. The entire accommodation was squeaky clean, there was fully equipped kitchen and coin laundry. Coffee and tea were provided in the kitchen, free of charge. All amenities (towels, toiletries, hairdryers) also provided. There even was a shelf with extra things you could possibly need in a hostel, like fluffy blankets, earplugs, hot water bottles, plug adapters, flashlights and fans. We spent the evening in the common area playing games and relaxing after a long day of cycling. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone, great value for money and amazing location with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely place, very clean and you have all the amenities you need. Also the staff is the most polite and kind. I left a bracelet and they went above and beyond to return it to me! I can't stress this enough; if you are cycling through the island, you have to go here!

The food and drink options are all delicious and reasonably priced, including their rotating seasonal specials. I love the Cuban sandwich. The owners are friendly and involved in the local community. Highly recommend!

Delicious food open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner separately. They have lots of options to choose from. I got the shrimp pad Thai which was perfect after a long day of cycling.

I stayed here for 3 nights in May. Really great place to stay. Really good value. The staff were really nice.

In my opinion, an extremely well situated and sweet spot to stay. If you aren’t seeking to stay in a temple or luxury ryokan, but want a little nest, extremely walkable, close to everything, have bicycle storage and potentially meet other travellers on the way, this is the place. We ended up booking the double room last minute and had the entire place to ourselves. I’m a night owl, so it was great to have a fun library, open space for yoga, 24h access to a kitchen with complementary coffee/tea, and nice, (very clean) shower facilities, in the centre of everything. Another bonus is the little cafe attached that reopens in the evenings and has such an easy vibe. After looking at other places on the island that were of the same « level », this place was definitely the right pick.
