The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ambience reminds me of an old beach hotel on either the northern west coast, or the east coast in the US, with its faded wooden complex fascade and the numerous well-cared for plants. As for the room, the amenities were few, but it wasn't dirty. The bed was not comfortable, but these things change, and I complained. Was surprised that there was no washlet, but the AC worked well. The group room downstairs was very nice. There were several bookcases filled with manga, including classics like Nausicaa and Akira, there was free coffee in the morning and hot water all night. I liked the comfortable atmosphere the best, with an entire wall of glass for morning light, huge house plants, and designer tables and seating. I did not have enough breakfast, but heard it costs 600 yen. There were directions, information, and a map of the area in English, listed in my photos.
