Excellent ryokan experience with a very reasonable price. Large room, well-prepared, and charming accommodations. Close to a bus stop, but also not too far to walk to kyoto station.

Ryokan typical of you want a real Japanese and traditional personal experience very rider always at the small care for you greeted with tea served in Japanese handmade mugs then direction the room the bed will be done when you Come back from dinner in the meantime you just have to enjoy the living room and the tea facilities available put on the yukata and go to dinner traditional Japanese meal very confusing there are 8 dishes and a dessert breakfast is also traditional if you do not enjoy Not specify them because it's really very special even though we are addicted to our Japanese restaurants as this has absolutely nothing to do.
I'll note 3.5 for the benefit but I can not from where the 3: why? The room that starts wither a bit of a pity for such a place and such an experience if not for the rest no worries.

An unforgettable experience of sleeping in a Japanese way on Tatami matts. Yukatas and a private, indoor bath turned the stay into a wonderful memory. Highly recommended!

Most of the staffs can speak english, the room is very nice, the public bathroom also very nice, high recommendation for this ryokan.

Nice arrangements, we ordered 3 sets of adult Japanese dinner due to hotel policy, they know we are a 2 kids family, then made 2 kid's set for my girls, it is so excited for us.

Traditional Japanese hotel with an amazing staff. The rooms are large (for Japan) and the traditional meals are worth the extra cost.

A good Ryokan in the center of Kyoto. Recommended.

Friendly staff, spacious and comfortable rooms. Then futons were great to sleep on. The pubic bath had some grime in it but was otherwise very clean and relaxing. One item in the tea set which we did not need anyway was not cleaned properly. Didn't want to leave. Overall a great experience and would come back again.

We had a great experience. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly. Some speak English very fluently. The ones that aren't fluent still know enough words that there was never any major problem with communication. The room was very minimalist and pleasing. Everything was very neatly laid out when we arrived. The staff leaves Japanese snacks when they make the room, and tea is also provided in the room. When we arrived we were a bit confused about how the breakfasts/dinners worked. It wasn't too clear, so I can explain here. The breakfasts and dinner are served at designated times. You must reserve ahead with the front desk in advance so your table is ready with the food when you arrive. I would strongly recommend trying the breakfasts and dinners. They are very delicious, interesting and also not too expensive. The pictures speak for themselves. The public bath was also nice, although I do think the grout in some areas could be cleaned a bit. One strange thing is they require you to leave the key with them when you go out. Not sure why they do that.

Very good reception with tea and pastry. The staff is smiling and speaks English. The room is spacious and charming in the traditional style. The public baths are a plus! I recommend it.

This hotel staffs are so friendly and you felt like home. They serve very delicious meals with so detail in their food preparation.

Loved this place. If you are looking for a traditional treat, this place is for you. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were excellent in explaining everything for how to wear a yukata to making traditional tea. It was concirbtly located close to temples and the subway. The staff spoke excellant English and were very helpful.

Cool if you want to experience historical hotel, incredible service but service can get a little pushy, amazing resturant if you like traditional Japanese food.

Ryokufuso gave a very conveniently priced depiction of life in a ryokan. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well.

Decent ryoken, would stay here again. The public bath is nice, usually very quiet. Definitely would not get Japanese breakfast again. Toilet/seat were slightly larger in comparison to everywhere else I've stayed in Japan, a nice little bonus. Pillows are very comfortable.

Traditional Japanese style Inn with a bathouse and good breakfast, people at the reception speak good english and it's not far from Kyoto station. I stayed in november 2017 and I recommend this place if you are looking for a ryoken.

Ryokan in the center of Kyoto to experience the tradition. Beautiful property with spacious, traditional rooms. Our room had services privari and a veranda to enjoy the sunset. We stayed overnight, including dinner and traditional breakfast (fish and rice for breakfast! But an experience), spending a night about 180€ for the two of you. The structure includes an onsen separate for men and women, really relaxing and all the comforts you need to enjoy the holiday (yukata, set, shop, service for tea, etc. ).

Great place to experience a ryokan. Kaiseiki dinner is a must try! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is not that great though — quite a bit of walk to get to a station although very close to bus stops.

Just perfect. Courtesy and elegance. We also had dinner there and it has been just amazing. Hope to go there again sooner or later. I totally recommend to stay there for a typical and authentic experience with all the comforts.

Nestled in a quiet street, Ryokufuso provides a great ryokan experience for travellers. My wife and I stayed there for two nights. The staff there especially Aya-san was very accommodating and provided us with some tea and a biscuit on arrival even though it was before our allotted check in time and provided us the best modes of transport to travel to the various places around Kyoto. They even provide a hearty breakfast to get you started on your day. Definitely will recommend this place to others who choose to travel to Kyoto :)

This hotel was a delight! The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a must have, and we also enjoyed their kaiseki dinner. The rooms are large and bright. The style of the hotel feels traditionally japanese, with all the conveniences of modern life. The onsen was also very nice.

The staff is super friendly and helpful! They first held our luggage as we could check in until later during the day, found us a place to rent bikes and once we were finally able to check-in they first treated us to tea and sweets, then guided us to our room, gave us a small tour and explained tto us how to use everything in the room. They have an onsen where tattoos are allowed. The only complaint I have is that the closet in the room was kid of dusty and some other part weren't properly cleaned, but this did not take away from our experience.

Traditional Japanese experience was certainly provided the staff are welcoming and more than helpful. Would gladly stay here again.

Right next to a bus stop, this Ryokan is authentic with friendly staff. They serve amazing food I never would have tried on my own, and I loved my experience. I stayed three nights, in the summer, and appreciated the air conditioning. They have a great public bath and I would highly recommend using it, no matter how tired you are; your legs will thank you.
