This hotel is close to kyoto JR station which makes it easy to get around all over the Kyoto area. The rooms are small but manageable. The bathrooms are also small and would benefit from modernisation. However they are clean. One excellent feature is a washing machine in every room.
The hotel is well located, only a few minutes walk from the Kyoto station. Staff barely spoke English and used translated documents to communicate. The exhaust in the bathroom doesn't work and they asked the bathroom door to be closed whilst we showered as it could trigger the fire alarm (this was a bit confusing). Everything looked clean. No dishes, bowls or any cutlery made it difficult to use the mini kitchen… Internet was unusable however they have a convenient mobile phone that has unlimited internet and calls. You can enable the mobile hotspot for your own devices. The mobile internet works a lot better than the one in the hotel. If you're tall, watch your head even in the corridor. Enjoy Kyoto!

Great location and friendly stuff. The room is small for an average western people however it has everything for all travelers needs. If you are lucky, you could get the best price-cheaper than AirB.
