Cheap hotels in Hakodate

Stayed here for one night and it's been a good experience. First of all the staff is lovely. Helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The location is about a 7min walk from the train station.

For the price, it is excellent.
The room was spacious and Japanese style. Not spotless, but clean enough. Washroom was ample sized. It was in a quiet area and we could not hear our neighbours.

I spent a night in this Hotel on 7 December 2025.

Traditional Japanese inn just steps away from Hakodate train station.
The first floor has a beautiful communal area, the communal bathroom and toilets.

I had a great experience at pension puppy tail! The owner and the people working there are super kind and we had some great recommendations! It is a japanese style inn with a beautiful atmosphere.

Good location. Walking distance to Train station, Hakodate morning market and Aeon. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.
The female bath room was clean, well equipped and spacious.

Going to the guest house you have to climb up the slope road all the way up unless you have a car then thats easy.
The view in the morning and night is wonderful.
Room is quite big and spacious.

I got to stay here shortly after it re-opened post a 3 year shut down.

We are so glad we chose to stay at this excellent property.

This hotel is located very close to Hakodate Station, which makes it extremely convenient for travelers.

Nice hotel in Hakodate, southern Hokkaido. Quiet and friendly. Not far from the beach which is bitter cold in January by the way. Spacious (for Japan) rooms with a cozy feeling. Perfect for the price.

Loved it. Absolutely unbeatable for the price. Nice and friendly staff. The best : no tour groups from the third world. Will certainly come back.

The hotel is really cozy and nice. Its an old hotel and you are paying for its value, but its great.

Very cheap with family-like feels (? )
The room is very good for the price (4050 yen) with a breakfast too.
The location also is very good, 5 min to Hakodate station.

Self checkin checkout, password for each room. Clean bathrooms, toilets and kitchen. Highly recommend.
