A harrowing, beautiful park. The monuments stand as reminders of the need for peace, and as a stark reminder of the War Crimes committed by the Allies. Please be respectful if you visit; a must see for all Westerners.

Beautiful and emotional park, with details that make conocienciar of the reality of history. It is next to the Hiroshima Museum of La Paz, about 30 min walk from Hiroshima Station.

Full package. The visit makes thoughtful. An impressive and poignant visit. For me, one of the saddest, most harshest and yet still signities historical places. Forcefully suggests reflection. You draw parallen to the present. Has an opinion-forming effect on one's own attitude to the steady arms race.

My second time here 12years after the first was just as powerful. It's a must go to place to realise the futility of these bombs. Spend time and go through the museum. Take it all in and be moved to be a better and more peaceful person to everyone. ✌

Memory park full of monuments immersed in greenery easily accessible by shuttle that departs from Hiroshima Central Station (free with the jr) descending to stop 6 and 7.
At stop 7 you arrive in front of the peace fountain, adjacent to the peace museum.

A must see in Hiroshima. Very emotional. The beautiful tour shows life of the power of recovery of the Japanese people. Recommendation if you took the JR pass take the bus that is included with the pass and you can visit the most important points.

I was fortunate to be able to attend on a day of the anniversary of the fall of the bomb. A spectacular moment full of silence, of flowers, of peace… All United asking for peace at the same time, it was truly conmomedor and full of emotion.

Very moving and confronting. No hint of apportioning blame to either side, just a passionate, heartfelt desire that it must never happen again. It opened up all sorts of great conversations with our kids. There will never be world peace while people keep rejecting the Prince of Peace.

The Nakajima neighborhood, located on an island between two rivers and the destination of the first atomic bombing, forms the Peace Memorial Park. In the park there are the various buildings and monuments that focus on the tragic events. So the Peace Monument, the Peace Square, the Peace Flame, the cenotaph, the Peace Museum, the Fountain of Prayers, the statue of mother and child in the storm, and the gates of peace. In total, there are more than sixty monuments, statuettes and memorial stones in the park.
The Peace Monument, a hollowed-out domed building, was the industrial — and Chamber of Commerce building built in 1914. It remained largely in place in a skeletal manner, as the pressure wave had an almost perpendicular effect on the structure. An eerie sight when you're aware of the event.
The cenotaph, a modern work by Kenzo Tange, lists the names of the victims of the atomic bombing, which has been constantly supplemented.
There are many sculptures that try to do justice from different perspectives to the madness of that time.
Even if it is a distressing place, the sculptures and objects give the park a pacifying expression.

Striking as they convey the feeling of pursuit of peace through sculptures, very simple but elegant. Very close to the museum (highly recommended although you may not enter the payment area, has a small hall where is the "clock of peace" with its beautiful history) and the dome on which the bomb was detonated. A place to reflect.

It's a good learning experience. Came here with family on a trip from Canada. Although I know Japanese, English is my strong suit. Nice to see they are very bilingual.

It makes it hard to visit this place but it is a visit advised to be a site of historical importance. The museum is hard to visit so it impresses it, very hard but necessary for what it means. A quiet place that inspires peace despite how terrible it was what happened here.

A must-see when in Hiroshima, and a very beautiful park. Walk next to the river and pass by the a-bomb Dome, or just sit and enjoy the peace. Memorial Park is a wonderful place. Highly recommended. Also very beautiful at night.

Hiroshima's Peace Park and Museum are World Heritage sites. In my opinion the museum is the best war museum I've experienced. A slow stroll through the museum brings the horrors of nuclear weapons to one's thinking. Because of this museum's artifacts, dioramas of the city before and after, scientific explanations of the nuclear blast, photographs and survivor's stories of their experiences we have an illustrious example of what happens in nuclear war. This is not an easy museum to go through but one that everyone needs to see. Peace Park surrounds the museum and is well worth touring and taking pictures.

Hiroshima I think it is an amazing and beautiful city, exceeded my expectations, I think Japan has pointed to its development and is amazing, the Memorial park tourists are contagious with an attitude of respect and silence, just think of the horror lived and be at the point Accurately made us appreciate the opportunity to meet him, I intend to return as soon as possible to go through what I lacked. I recommend you go through this valuable experience.

If you are in Japan, make the time to visit this place. The entire Peace memorial at Hiroshima is highly moving. While there, the immense suffering faced by the people in Hiroshima as a result of the atomic bomb is highly visible, with stories so sad that it's almost impossible to not shed a tear. But at the same time, what we saw was compassion of people who immediately sprung to action from all over the world, a sense of hope and the light of resilience shining through the rubbles of the city. Never again being the theme rising from the ashes.

Many personal accounts and details of victims and this connected to the victims. A lot of information about nuclear weapons development. Very high quality museum. Also very sad.

The Peace Park is a must-see for any visitors to Hiroshima. There's so much to see around the park from the Memorial Hall to the Museum, and the A-bomb Dome. This is all extremely heavy, especially the stories of children who experienced the bomb explosion and dealt with the aftermath. All of the admission prices are very low, so I suggest making a day of it and seeing everything. The horrors of the past are difficult to confront but it is absolutely necessary in order to create a more peaceful world.

How it is possible that the human mind has done this. Impressive the park and the annexed Museum.

Amazing place. Really see the evils of war. Evokes a lot of emotions. Sadness for those who died but also hope as you see how thriving the city is. Definitely a huge must see if you're in Hiroshima even for a few hours. Most of the access is free.

This is an important memory place. Everyone goes there if we're in Hiroshima. There is nothing special about this place except a Bell. The important thing is the ceremonies.
This square is located in the immediate vicinity of the famous dome which is spectacular.

A highly symbolic place where one can truly realize the horror of a nuclear war. There is not much to see but every sculpture, every work is loaded with history.
A must for Hiroshima.

Even though it is infamous for its history of the atomic bomb back in August 1945 I still think it's a very hauntingly beautiful sight and has very powerful message to the world as a symbol of a history that we should never repeat again and the park encourages the world that we should live in a Nuclear Free World. The museum about the atomic bomb is very informative and it has English information and definitely shines a light about the tragedy to all those that have lost their lives their homes and families. So I must say that this should be a must-see in Hiroshima.

An experience to be done in Hiroshima. To understand that it is essential for us all to say NEVER AGAIN.

This is a great place to visit. It definitely preserves the sanctity of the place while keeping it relevant to today. It is a very peaceful place and quite moving as well. They really bring to light the effects that it had on people's lives in a way that tells their stories without being dishonoring.

Price is resonable for what u get. Maybe better because there are towels, amenity and even free coffee & tea and breakfast. Lts an old hotel but its nostalgic. Good stay.

In order to commemorate and remember the scourge of war, in the City of Plaza Island, which was cast next piece atomic bomb, left behind for 1945 years, the atomic bomb detonated 600 meters above, the destructive power almost destroyed all, this original Plaza Island property Exhibition Hall, lucky not completely destroyed, today, is the original explosion of the same year. The site of the original explosion dome, Plaza Island City in the surrounding construction of parks and memorials, around the park, there are volunteers in the surrounding explanation of the motives of the war and follow-up (Japanese version), Peace Memorial show the original explosion of Plaza Island City terror plight, the remains of the dead, hope that people remember the cruelty of war, The Japanese wife who visited me together also looked at it and cried out, and I really did not want to photograph the remains of the wounded, who had been blown up, and it was very frightening to filming.
