A traditional ryokan with great atmosphere. Their kaiseki dinner is worth a try. The only downside is that there is only one tiny elevator in this place, do allow more time if you need to transport huge luggage like we do.

Best accommodation through stay. Very spacious for a Superior Japanese room. Enjoyed private onsen (semi indoor/outdoor) at Y2000 plus tax for 50mins. Public onsen was big. Good quality Pola toiletries, safe in room and all other usual amenities. Futon very comfortable and bean pillow very good support for neck. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Modern clean hotel with traditional rooms in a good location. Towel provided was the size of a hand towel! Mattress was so thin it provided little comfort and might as well laid on the floor. Similarly for the pillow which had just enough room for your head. No ATMs in town and only hotels take card payment so take plenty of cash to cover your trip up the mountains.

Equipment old feeling not too clean, bathroom is narrow, take a bath to get in the way, and there is no outlet can use the bathroom with hair dryer, blowing hair and go to use in the window wall of the socket, because the hotel put a mirror on the wall over there, but there again put a chair, is to ask the guest to kneel on the chair to blow hair? Then the lighting in that position was so dim that lady, who had to wash his head in the evening and had to blow dry hair, was almost scared to death. The room was soundproof, and the next door was closed to hear, and even the vibrations of the walk could be felt. Husband and I lived here for a night. The next day, the body was found to be bitten by insect bites skin redness.

Beautiful place, nice staff! It is perfect! We have enjoyed our stay here very much! :-)

Really 2 stars, the front desk staff is too poor, ten ask nine should not, another anti-Japanese enthusiasm, very cold. The hot springs are a few good. The rooms are large and the other facilities are old.

Located in the hida mountains in a small village it is still very good reachable by nohi bus. There is an huge bus stop for all directions so you never get lost in the small town. However the hotel it self is slightly aged but still very nice with a wide variaty of rooms. The onsen is also very nice with yakuzi and indoor bath but also 2 types of rotemburo. Private openair baths are also available on request.

Nive view, traditional Japanesse rooms and amaizing Onsen (indoor and outdoor), maybe pretty old fashion place, but perfect value/price balance.

Japan's northern tour of the next night to live Okada hotel and Leting, although also the old hotel, but regardless of the Wi-Fi equipment is quite with the previous era, the room is 禢 禢 meters, a small balcony, bathroom is a typical small, but the hall and the corridor is spacious. The staff was very friendly.

Buildings, rooms, and hot springs are very good. But the desk clerk was very serious and unfriendly. This is the first time we have come across an unhappy Japanese in Japan for so many days.

Friendly and helpful staff, though you may struggle with it at times if you don't speak Japanese. The public onsen here are fantastic, and open overnight until 8:30 am — relaxing under the stars is a great experience. If public onsen is too intimidating, they also have private onsen available for a modest fee, which need to be booked ahead (book at reception, I was able to get a lot of choice booking one day in advance). The room was also very nice, though as with many hotels in Japan, indoor smoking is common, and the room carries a mild smell of cigarettes. As a bonus, the trip through the mountains to get here is very picturesque.

Old fashioned ryokan. Rooms are not well maintained. Doesn't worth its price.

We booked a Japanese style standard room for one night stay. Include dinner and breakfast. You can use hot spring when you want. But private one need extra charge for 2000en /one group for 50mins. Anyway the food is good the room is totally Japanese style. Recommend.

What a nice hotel I ever tried!
