DO NOT STAY HERE! The management is the worst I've ever experienced. They insisted their ocean water pool which is filled with water directly from the ocean once every 4 days is clean and sanitary which a call to the Jamaican Ministry on health and safety confirmed it most certainly isn't. They do not treat the water and there isn't even a filter so you can see gross pieces of hair floating day after day. I would have to complain and threaten to cancel my reservation for them to change the dirty water full of bacteria. If you want to get an infection Doc's place is the place to go — and the "hot tub" is just a smaller disgusting bathtub with a pump to make bubbles — it doesn't get hot and it was filled one out of 17 days I was there. The air conditioner didn't work in my room and none of the TVs have netflix as they advertised. My shower overflowed 3 times in the room and my linens had cigarette holes in them. No bottled water left in the rooms either and the housekeeper I asked for said it's not included. The manager made up that I chased after a man who was there with his gf causing problems with them and wrote that and a bunch of other lies about me in their airbnb review — including that my complaints about the unsanitary pool are because I'm racist and saw black people swim there. She even went and spread these lies to other staff and people who run businesses on the street and they told me.

I remember calling the place and one person answered and was only able to give me limited information. I called back the same number 5 minutes later, no answer. When the phone was answered. The gentleman that answered hardly listened to anything I said but kept saying yea, yea, yea. When we arrived, it seemed like no one was there and when someone finally showed up, she sermed confused about the reservations. When we got the room, the placed stunk of ganja and there was a roach on the balcony. We also had a shock about the pool, it was a like a kiddie pool filled with dirty water, completely different from the pictures. In the morning for breakfast we got a fried egg and one thin slice of bread and the chef (if we can call him that) refused to give us a second slice. This is the worst experience of my life.

We reserved for a week in February but left after the first night and found very nice place for the same price right on seven mile beach, with daily cleaning and several amenities. The place was all but deserted. After some wait outside the gate, we were greeted by Rosemarie, who didn't seem to know we were coming. After being led to our room, she had to sweep because the floors were dirty. We had ants and mildew in the shower, and the shower head let out a high pitched alarm sound when used. The linens were meager and the bed linens had cigarette holes in them.
We were promptly told that we would not be served breakfast, as the owner's dogs were there and they felt it unfair to have to deal with food and the dogs… we were also told that the sea-side pool and the roof-top bar were not available to use. (All 3 were the reasons we chose this property)
I was told by the property manager on VRBO that we were due a refund, but still have not received one, and now Oliver (reservation manager) won't even respond to my messages.
It could be an amazing property and it may have been at one time, but it left a very poor taste in our mouths and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Doc's Place is a great place to relax. Johann is an amazing host and has turned out to be one of my best friends. A brother from another mutha. Enzo and Tosh the two dogs onsite are sweet hearts and are a joy to be around. If you are looking for the true Jamaican experience, visit Doc's place.

We can not wait to go back. This place is a true representation of what Jamaica is about. Great hosts. Walking distance to food and shops. This was our first visit to docs but our 7th time in jamaica and hands down this place was the most authentic. Thanks to Johann we got to know some awesome people.

Docs Place is THE spot to stay in Negril! It's beautiful, clean, friendly and we'll run. The beds are comfy comfy! Rosemary is so sweet and easy to talk to. Johan is amazingly friendly and helpful. We love Docs Place, and I'll be coming back to Negril and staying here again ♡ much love.

The entire place is very clean the staff professional. The food was delicious, prepared to order. Not a party atmosphere. The perfect place to relax and enjoy beautiful Negril.

I had a great time with my client. The staff and security are professional and caring. Everything is near if not brought to you. Walking the beach, boat rides, Jamaican jerk chicken is to die for.

Doc's Place in Negril is a must when in Jamaica! With its beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean, great tasting and authentic Jamaican food, and a full service rooftop bar that is simply breathtaking at sunset, it's everything you want when you come to Jamaica. Their staff was very friendly and really made sure to take care of me and my family. You may like it so much you'll want to just stay the night in one of their amazing rooms at the resort facing the ocean. I will definitely be returning to Doc's Place every time I am in Jamaica!

I love this place! its like a little piece of Haven on earth. Its a very quiet location right on the beach. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights during Dream Weekend it was close to all the parties and events. Perfect location. Howard is such a sweetheart. Him and my husband instantly clicked like they had known each other for years. He treated us just like family. We love Moms place and we will be back very soon. Dwayne & Taliah Williams.
