From the moment I arrived, this stay exceeded every expectation. The views from the living room were absolutely stunning, the perfect backdrop for a peaceful, delicious breakfast every morning. Irene is a truly exceptional host, and her sweet, quiet toy poodle Bambi only added to the charm. Irene went above and beyond, even picking me up from my taxi and offering help with anything I needed during my stay.
The bathrooms were spotless and cleaned daily, and breakfast was made fresh to order, always tasty and served with genuine warmth. Irene treated every guest with such kindness and care, it felt more like staying with a thoughtful friend than at a typical accommodation.
The AC worked perfectly; I barely needed it thanks to the comfortable setup. But what made this place truly special was the atmosphere. Irene is full of great stories, and the highlight of each day was lingering over breakfast, chatting and laughing with other guests. The sense of community, hospitality, and beauty here made it one of the most memorable stays I’ve ever had. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could! Don’t hesitate, just book it.

La casa del gato bianco y nero. Meeting Irene, her neighbour Ricardo, having a late meal al FoFo…. There are no words to describe, one has to live it. Just like Colombo who intended to go to India and ended up in the Caribbean, I booked a place to stay near the airport and ended up living a great experience.

I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough! It is located above the main square, thus requires some uphill walking, which in the August heat was formidable. However Yael went WAY beyond the call of duty, even going so far as to offer rides when possible. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in Italy. Then again, Yael asked me specifically what I wanted and tailored the breakfasts to me. Once again, she went way beyond the call of duty. She is one of the best hotelières I have ever met in Italy. 10 out of 10!

* This was an excellent peaceful haven after a rather frenetic stay in beautiful Florence.
* This is a less than a 20 minute train journey from the centre of Florence and you find yourself in the middle of the Tuscan hills and a medieval hilltop town.
*A short walk takes you to a lovely local Pizzeria/restaurant.
* A small museum in Signa outlines the straw hat making industry which exported hats all over the world.
*I would certainly see this as a base for a future trip to Florence and surrounding area.

My stay was very pleasant, the host is also very welcoming and her breakfast is just awesome. Beautiful location with an amazing view and very calming and relaxing environment.

Elegant B&B in a delightful medieval hilltop community over looking the Arno River with Florence city Center in the distance. Morning breakfast, including fresh local pastries, served graciously by our lovely hostess, Irene (speaks English and Italian). The New Years Eve fireworks from the terrance were spectacular! ++ it’s an easy walk (10 minutes) or Uber to the train into the city (20 minutes). Very relaxing.

This B&B is the perfect mountain oasis. A 15 minute commuter train ride takes you from the crowds of Florence to a hilltop gem in Signa. Because the B&B is small (consisting of only four bedrooms), you feel like you have arrived home. The setting is magical, the rooms romantic, breakfast amazing. But the best part is your host, Irene (or Yael if you prefer)! If need be, she will collect you from the train station. If you arrive by car and can't find parking out in front, she will come out to pick you up from wherever you find a spot. Although this should only be a Bed and Breakfast, there is always deliciously strong coffee available, a cold drink after a long day of sightseeing, and an available ear to hear about all your adventures in magical Florence.

Stayed overnight. The best choice for those who do not want to overpay for Florence, but appreciate high-quality service. Very clean, intelligent hostess with a cheerful dog, expensive plumbing and quiet air conditioners. The best bath and bed that I have met in private hotels. From the windows you can see the Duomo. English breakfast is real like in England. Be prepared for very narrow streets and search for parking. If you move on foot, take a lot of water because you climb to the very peak of the mountain. I highly recommend it!

Irene's home is the perfect setting for those looking for some tranquility away from city life without being too far away from the action, for Florence is simply a short breezy train ride away. Irene is the most caring host alongside Bambi, resident white toy poodle who will melt your heart, ensuring your stay is full of warmth from the way the sheets are folded, softly perfumed, the art and detail filled décor to Irene's personable approach to everyone and everything.

Nice and clean room with a very kind hostess who speaks perfectly English. The room has a beautiful view. It is very easy to leave your car in the town for free and take the train to Firenze. Signa itself is small but has nice places to eat.
