Great hotel, super location.

Rooms without air conditioning, bathroom without shower box that is flooded because of the curtain hole in the wall and nocturnal squeals in the neighboring bar every holy night. There was air conditioning one would keep the windows closed… are unacceptable things.

I wanted to write this for those who are traveling to Siena. I had followed a Rick Steve's recommendation and stayed at Piccolo Hotel Etruria for one night in June (2018). I chose this hotel based on the price, location, RS's recommendation, and the fact it had air conditioning. My family arrived on a hot day and were pleased with our room, until we realized the air conditioning wasn't working (throughout the hotel, we were told). That would be bad enough, but it was made worse because we couldn't open our windows due to the incredible outside noise. I just wanted to let travelers know that if you are staying during a weekend or during some holiday, the rooms are loud (I'm assuming they are quieter on weekdays, but I could be wrong)! The location is just off the city center square so it is ideal, but that being the case, you get all the teenagers hanging around and yelling 'till the wee hours of the morning (I think it got quieter after 2 am). If you are used to city noise or can sleep through anything, this probably isn't a problem, but if you like quiet, I'd avoid this hotel (during weekends and holidays). I also wanted to add that they did nothing to compensate for the lack of air conditioning (and in fact seem to deny it now when I emailed them after our vacation) and seemed to think nothing of it. The room was nice and the staff was nice, but I'd truly hesitate (a lot) before staying here again.

Great for the location, a short walk from the square on the pitch, from there you are practically in one of the most beautiful centers in Italy, so then you walk around and find everything, super recommended!

Very bad experience! To make breakfast you have to leave the hotel.
The first day the breakfast counter was empty there was not even milk, the tables were dirty and the toaster was filthy…
The following days did not go better, brioche a few days old, not to mention the inedible cakes… then we do not talk about the rooms… broken curtains, dirty shower, hairdryer not working… in short, absolute disappointment!

Comfortable rooms Although a bit outdated, bathrooms need extra maintenance, great location close to the centre holder friendly bathroom a little small without support plans, honest price for what it provides, no bathroom set.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Siena, beside the famous Piazza del Campo. Clean rooms, very kind and professional staff, every room with AC, internet working in the whole hotel, tasty breakfast with some local artesanal cakes sweet and salty. Excellent ratio price/quality. Really suggested if you decide to visit this beautiful city!

We have been here a couple of nights, the hotel is clean and very convenient, just a few steps from Piazza del Campo! The staff has always been helpful and polite and we was able to give great recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area. Breakfast super!

I stayed at this hotel because in the others there was no more place and I found a bitter surprise!
The rooms are very "poor" and bare, there were no power outlets except one in the bathroom that in theory had to be for the hair dryer and we took turns my husband and I to charge the cell phone!
The soft light bulbs were not working and you could only choose for the full light of the room or the total darkness!
There is no bathroom kit, not even a bar of soap. Basically if you find yourself having to choose a sudden accommodation in this hotel make sure to go from the supermarket first!
Wi-Fi didn't take well in my room on the second floor.
TV channels didn't take well.
There is no fridge in the room.
The rooms did not muffle the outside noise at all and throughout the night I kept clearly hearing noises and squeals from people in the street below and some of them even stopped to urinate under my window!
After only being able to fall asleep at around 4am, I wake up at 8am because I heard the gentleman downstairs screaming on the phone!
I'm really disappointed.
Especially taking into account that for all this I spent 87 euros for one night!
If I could go back I wouldn't choose it again!

Great little hotel, simple and right in middle of town, great experience.

Great location! Cozy little hotel with clean rooms, nice staff, relatively normal bathrooms, and non-smoking. Only drawback is the noise outside due to the bar nextdoor.

Ci siamo fermati per una notte durante un weekend in moto e ci siamo trovati benissimo! L'Hotel è letteralmente a 10 metri da piazza del campo e abbiamo potuto mettere le moto in garage (5 posti moto). Ci hanno rassicurato sulla ZTL… speriamo avessero ragione… per il resto le camere erano pulite ed accoglienti ed il personale super disponibile e gentile! Ci tornerò di sicuro!

Stayed for one night with my girlfriend, warm welcome, nice and clean. Central location and close to all major points of interest. Accessible by car despite the ztl, as managers have subsequently communicated the license plate to the municipality to avoid a fine.

A delightful hotel, ideal to spend a period of relaxation immersed in the heart of Siena, is run by guys available and always smiling. 10 + for hospitality, welcome and kindness…

The rooms and the reception weren't too bad. While eating was just bad especially breakfast does not offer variety.
The restaurant also has an agreement with the hotel is quite far from postone and offers very poor service.
I would not stay there again.

Cheap prices and great location for visiting the city of Siena.

Small hotel very centrally located just a few steps from Piazza del Campo, perfect to enjoy the city and its monuments.
We stayed two nights, the room very comfortable and clean, great tips from you guys.

Nice hotel. A little too expensive for a sole traveler, though its located in the very city center, so 45 euros/night is more or less reasonable for a late October. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little overpriced (6.50 €) and in the single room there were only 2 electricity sockets, one of which wasn't working. Recharging the camera and all gadgets was quite a pain. Apart from that the hotel left positive impressions.

Hotel quality bargain price! Nice and above all very very close to the Centre can be reached in a couple of minutes walk away. If you really just have to say something negative. A continental breakfast. 6.50€! No problem though. Walking is the historic pasticceria N! To be repeated every thing.

Nice and friendly hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms with flat-screen tvs/wireless internet. 1 minute walking distance to the piazza del campo. definitely underrated at 2 stars.
