Lucca Charm

A perfect location in a room with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. It was very clean and the host (Matteo) was very friendly and helpful when we wanted to stay an extra night. It was very quiet even though there were four of us on the floor. Two of the rooms had a bathroom outside the room, but it was just for us and not difficult to take the 4 steps to the bathroom from the bedroom. In fact, it was a lovely big bathroom, which we wouldn't have had if it were an ensuite. Breakfast voucher could be spent at the local bakery — 2 mins walk away and the choice was good and the food and coffee delicious. All round good experience for us.

We could not fault Lucca charm in any way, the location was amazing, right in the town but quiet and peaceful in our room. Although basic we had everything we needed and it was clean and tidy with housekeeping every day. No restaurant but we got vouchers for coffee & pastry every morning at buralli pastry shop right around the corner, the owner, Matteo came to see us to check all was ok. And explained it was a "a work in progress " as he was the new owner.
We would definitely stay here again.

The new owner Matteo is so friendly and made me feel very welcomed. Stayed in room 1 and bed was comfy (I slept a lot! ), the view out the window was cool, the cleaning service was good while not wasting items, the location was amazing since it's in the center of the city, and the air conditioner worked great. The only issue was the broken refrigerator and the shower water temperature fluctuating, but not a big deal for me.

Great location and friendly staff. Just did a last minute res for one night and they were quick to assist. Got the room with the bathroom, big room, nice tea cups😃

If you are OK with a shared bathroom then this little place is perfectly located, very nicely presented and clean.

The name says it all — it's charming! And the price with the location can't be beat. It lies within the city walls and close to countless restaurants, cafes, and piazzas. I stayed in the green bedroom which has a queen and twin bed with the potential to sleep three people. There is a big private bathroom just across the hallway, but some rooms have in-room bathrooms as well. For breakfast you get a coupon for a free coffee and pastry from Pasticceria Buralli, located just around the corner. Overall, I had an excellent stay and when I come back to Lucca, this is where I'll book!

This place deserves its name as it was very charming. It's very well located, the room was really nice with great amenities. Everybody was nice too. Highly recommended place to stay in Lucca.

Older style accommodation in an old building. About 15 minutes walk from the train station but excellent location in the centre of the town. Well placed to explore the sights of Lucca. Good bathroom, but separate from bedroom. Necessitates multiple keys. No elevator, but owner helped with luggage. No breakfast offered, plenty of options close by. Noisy at night.

Excellent B & B, central location to visit the historic center.

Host structure, quiet, hospitable welcoming staff, kind and helpful for anything.

The atmosphere of the rooms is in theme with the city, warm and welcoming. Endrio is kind, attentive, nice! … and knows how to advise.
Under the house you will find everything from the pharmacy, to the greengrocer, to the tobacconist, the trattorias and it becomes easy to have a light chat while you take a bunch of grapes. In the center. Every attraction within walking distance.
