Positive: Spatious, light, spotlessly clean comfortable unit. Tasteful pieces of furniture. One of the very few units at this level that advertise accommodation for 4 and actually provide comfortable lounge seating for 4.
Positive: The apartment is very spacious with extremely high ceilings, so good in hot weather. We enjoyed the use of the bicycles for riding around the city walls. The bed was very comfortable. Everything we wanted to see in the old city was within easy walking distance. We felt very safe at all times. Negative: Due to an apparent communication problem between the owner and the housekeeper there was a problem when we arrived at our agreed time and we were unable to make contact for some time (due to the housekeeper's phone being switched off) to find out what was happening, and having to wait in hot sun. We also phoned booking. Com to check the phone number but got left on a ten minute hold, so that was no help. Also a warning for those looking for taxis during the midday meal period, taxis are scarce!.

Positive: Lots of space, well equipped, beautiful apartment with high ceilings and lovely shutters on the windows. Fantastic location, central but quiet, and the view of Torre Guinigi was fabulous. Negative: Best place we've ever stayed in in Lucca, very hard to think of things we didn't like. Getting the suitcases up the steps wasn't a bundle of laughs, but was hardly a big deal. Plumbing a bit eccentric at times, but quickly sorted when there was a problem.
