I had a wonderful stay at Francesco’s place. The room was very comfortable, spotless, and had a private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and the entire apartment was impeccably clean. You can really see that Francesco takes great care of the property and pays attention to every detail.
The location is excellent – just a short walk from the train station and right in the heart of Lucca’s beautiful historic centre. Everything is within walking distance: restaurants, cafés, shops, and all the main attractions.
Francesco is a very kind, welcoming and helpful host. He genuinely cares about his guests and makes sure they feel comfortable throughout their stay.
I felt safe, relaxed and at home here. I would happily stay again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lucca.

AMAZING! The location was superb and the rooms were comfortable and clean, but the best part of the experience was Francesco. We were in a pinch for the evening and needed a room, which Francesco happily provided late at night to greet us and make us feel welcome. Everything was perfect and cozy. Thank you, Francesco! 🫂

The small room was located directly under the roof (accessible only via 4 steep stairs) and did not have its own bathroom. The landlord saved money wherever he could and seemed to want to constantly control his guests (he often came into the room, warned not to use the hair dryer before 7 a. M. To turn off the lights, not to spill water on the floor, etc. ) – overall, a very unpleasant atmosphere. If you like hot coffee in the morning, you should definitely avoid breakfast there – better yet, avoid the entire accommodation!
