I photographed a wedding here mid June this year and was blown away by how beautiful this venue is, the owners are also very lovely which made the whole experience even better. The Villa is so close to the quiet town of Lucca which is also great to experience. I'd highly recommend visiting, staying and having your event here at Villa Buonvisi!

Unbelievable place in Italy/Toscane to stay znd have a quiet rest. Except the fantastic area, this place is just heaven on earth with swimming pool, tennis and jeux de boules. The rooms are just fantastic in a great style. And last but not least, the personnel/owner is SO FRIENDLY! Just TOP!

What an idyllic place! We came to the Puccini festival and wanted to stay in a Tuscan villa with gorgeous countryside. This place is so beautiful with vineyards all around you, swimming pool, tennis courts, pool table, Lucca just 10 minutes away. It is wonderful for kids too, we had boys of 8 and 9 years old, who roamed freely, played all sports and had picnics outside. Ida and her team are impeccable hosts, breakfast is with freshly made pancakes and waffles and fresh Tuscan produce.
We will definitely return to this wonderful place.

I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Jesper’s wedding at Villa Buonvisi, and it was absolutely magical. The villa offers a perfect blend of Tuscan charm, elegance, and breathtaking views. An ideal location for a romantic and intimate celebration.

Delicious breakfast and lots of shaded outdoor space to eat as well as indoors. Great aspect looking across the valley.
The house is spectacular, with huge rooms and communal spaces and has a great sense of grace and style.
The owner/manager, Ida is charming and her team work hard to make sure everything is done well.
Location is perfect. Just over half an hour from Pisa airport and five minutes into Lucca. Good restaurants at the bottom of the drive if you don't want to go all the way into town to eat.
Everywhere spotlessly clean.
Tennis court for those that want, though we were happy chilling by the pool.

This is a gorgeous, Italian, old style country house. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings decorated in an authentic rustic style. That rustic style permeates the whole grounds transporting you away from the modern hustle and bustle and allows you to truly relax. The swimming pool is spacious and the views of the Tuscan hills are spectacular. Lucca is a short drive away and there's a fantastic cake and gelato place opposite the entrance drive.
The service is what really stands out though. I eat gluten-free and in many places catering is an afterthought. I have made my peace with that but occasionally you meet wonderful hosts who make a special effort and the whole team at Villa Buonvisi made sure that there were plenty of options available to eat at their (already substantial) breakfast buffet. It was clear to me that they weren't making a special effort on account of the gluten-free requirements but that this is just their standards to ensure the comfort of their guests.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it.

We were her first guests of the season and so had the whole hotel completely to ourselves for the first night. Really great old mansion with fantastic owners who cook a really great breakfast every morning. Tennis court was fantastic. Billiard table was a marvellous asset to the communal room, which by the way were great as well, very spacious and old looking but comfortable with great views and a few sofas and magazines. Swimming pool was a bit cold but in a scenic location right next to the hotel. Location of the hotel itself is amazing, with great views all around it. To get to Lucca taking a bus is possible but hiring a car is more optimal. She (the owner) is very helpful if you need any help with restaurant recommendations. Overall had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Very recommendable hotel!

This is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the quietness, it felt like and oasis. Everybody was really nice, the place was clean, and the general vibe is just amazing. Breakfast has the necessary without wasting food, the pool it’s clean and wasn’t crowded at all. But the most important part it’s that the owners are kind and flexible people who will make your stay even better. Will come back for sure.

Wonderful stay here! Staff are so friendly. Food was amazing! And the grounds are so well maintained. Would definitely recommend!

The most Peaceful relaxing 2 night stay. We loved it here, chilling by a very beautiful pool area with the cutest pool bar. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed around the villa.
Breakfast was lovely, very relaxed feel, sit where you like. Honesty bar was a nice touch.
Location to Lucca is great, plus we had a few meals around this area.
Absolutely recommend and we will return.

Our time at Villa Buonvisi was wonderful. Ida and her husband are incredibly helpful and hospitable and we see that they dedicate heart and soul to this place. The view from the rooms is beautiful and waking up in this way makes the day start perfectly. The park and the context infuse a lot of peace and tranquility and this makes it a perfect place both to disconnect from the daily routine and to celebrate one's own wedding.
