B&B Alma in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is B&B Alma located, and what is nearby?

The property is located approximately one to two kilometers from the historic center and the city walls of Lucca. City attractions can be easily reached on foot via a convenient pedestrian and bicycle path. Right opposite the building, there is a large shopping center featuring a Coop supermarket, a pharmacy, and clothing stores, with a Lidl supermarket next door. Guests will also find restaurants and pizzerias within walking distance. In addition, the location is exceptionally convenient for car trips to Pisa, Viareggio, and other Tuscan towns due to its proximity to the highway exit.

Does the property offer parking facilities?

Guests have access to a spacious, free parking area directly opposite the entrance, located within the shopping center premises. The parking lot is open 24/7, ensuring there are always plenty of spaces available for any number of vehicles. No advance reservation is required. Guests traveling by car particularly appreciate the utmost convenience of access from the highway.

What languages does the staff at B&B Alma speak, and how is check-in arranged?

The owners and staff speak Italian, English, and French fluently. For flexible and independent self-check-in, automated key lockboxes are installed at the entrance. The host, Daniele, and his team welcome guests with exceptional warmth and are delighted to share valuable travel tips. The staff is always ready to accommodate individual guest needs flexibly, including preparing an early breakfast before business meetings.

What kind of breakfast is served, and are there options for guests with special dietary requirements?

In the morning, guests are served a hearty breakfast featuring both sweet and savory options, fresh fruit, coffee, and homemade baked goods. The host personally bakes traditional Tuscan desserts, including apple pie and the famous local buccellato cake. High-quality gluten-free options are always available for guests with special dietary needs. Breakfast is served in a spacious common room or on the outdoor terrace. The vast majority of reviews express genuine delight with the home-cooked offerings, although one guest found the breakfast selection modest.

What amenities are provided in the rooms at B&B Alma, and how is the housekeeping?

The property offers bright, spacious rooms featuring charming decor, comfortable mattresses, and thoughtful details. Guests consistently highlight the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, comparing the service level to that of high-end hotels.

How is the soundproofing in the rooms?

Although the building is located near a busy access road, modern double-glazed windows provide excellent sound insulation against external noise. The windows effectively block out traffic sounds, ensuring absolute quiet inside the rooms for a restful and comfortable night's sleep.

Are pets allowed at the property?

The property is extremely pet-friendly and welcomes guests traveling with dogs. Individual bowls for fresh water and food are thoughtfully prepared prior to pets' arrival. The owner is delighted to interact with animals and treats them with special snacks.
