Beautiful terrace with amazing views of the Florence skyline.

Full center, lovely and knowledgeable staff, super quality breakfast. The view from the roof top is beautiful and the pool awesome on the roof. A great stay.

Just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay, rooms, service, roof terrace and breakfast was excellent. Looking forward to staying here again.

They made our honeymoon amazing! The front desk was super helpful setting up reservations, car service, etc for us. The hotel itself is incredible overlooking the piazza Santa Maria novella. It is close to everything but hidden away from tourists. Truly incredible and we cannot wait to go back.

I loved everything about this hotel. The ambience, the decor, the service… and great location.

Just stayed there for 3 nights, was really disappointed. Booked the hotel for the amenities but nothing was even available. Pool was closed, jacuzzi is 50 euros for 30 minutes of use. We were woken up for turn down service at 9:30pm at night when we were already sleeping. Really nothing too special here. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Just stayed three days last week. I would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent location to visit the city. All hotel services were excellent & the staff were fabulous. Breakfast was great, lots of choices & options available to suit everyone’s taste. Rooms were spotless. Views from the rooftop beautiful. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Loved everything about it! The people, the food and the amenities. The rooftop bar and pool has breathtaking views. The gym is wonderful to use and extremely excessive. The room is outstanding with views overlooking Santa Maria novella square. Very unique and special. I highly recommend this urban resort.

FIVE stars! If you are staying in Florence there is simply no other place to stay. The grand hotel Minerva is the ultimate experience. Friendly staff, rooftop pool, in the center of the city, easy access to everywhere and fabulous buffet breakfast! Worth every penny!

This hotel is amazing. The rooms are large and immaculate. The pool is so nice, being on the rooftop. There are views of the whole city.

Great hotel. We arrived over an hour before check-in time but were welcomed, checked in then accompanied to our deluxe room. The room was nicely furnished with modern units and laminate wood flooring. We had a pretty good view of the Duomo and bell tower and also the Medici chapel and Santa Maria Novella from our 4th floor position. Buffet style breakfast was fine and relaxed. The rooftop pool was great, what a view! Pool was a tad cold for my liking. Need a bit of patience waiting for the lift at times but overall loved this hotel.

Great comfortable hotel! I’m still enjoying it. Unfortunately leaving tomorrow. I had the best food ever in the restaurant. Great chef and the service was amazing. Breakfast was great this morning including a very relaxing ambiance. I’ll be back.

Stunning hotel in a stunning location (rooftop bar is out of this world) we could not fault it. Staff were attentive and really went the extra mile especially Ricardo. Just absolutely loved it and I really do hope we will be back to visit again, thank you.

Great rooftop bar. Drinks not cheap but loads of free snacks and wonderful views. Rooftop pool. Get a key from reception if you're not a guest so you can use the lift. Waiters give excellent service and if you engage you might get a free shot at the end of the night. Ask for wine advice it's available.

Great location off a giant Plaza. Plenty of cafes. And a great Irish bar. Rooms were modern and redone. Spacious bathrooms with actual showers Vs typical showers. Breakfast was great. Super fresh and wide variety. Quality. Bar in lobby and tons of places to sit and hang out. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Most importantly excellent value. Though not a 5 star rated hotel it was great and earned 5 stars in our book. We would most definitely stay here again.

The setting is beautiful, the room is great, especially considering that the hotel is 4 degrees. A convenient location.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful views of the city and historical land marks (dome, river, etc) The rooms were spacious (we had a triple) and the rain-style showers were enormous. The included breakfast (10 euro extra/night) was the best we had all trip — beating out hotels in Rome, Modena, and Venice. The rooftop pool had only just opened (May 1) so we couldent use, however it served as a classy rooftop bar.

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location with a great rooftop. I wish I had visited in the warm months for the rooftop pool. Next time! :-)

The Grand Hotel Minerva is simply a pure Marvel where everything is in delicacy. From the entrance, a cosy atmosphere welcomes you to soften your stay.
A welcoming and gentle welcome. A service, services worthy of a four star. The staff as a whole is always in small care and of a remarkable discretion… In a nutshell, the staff are considerate and very professional. It is worthy of a real four stars!
To discover, the restaurant and bistro with an outdoor terrace. You can taste it, savour culinary creations mixing with delicacy and subtlety of flavours and typical Italian products.
The breakfast room is also surprising, with a view of a patio dotted with greenery, flowers and wisteria. Its buffet will reserve a multitude of sweets and surprises.
The deluxe room with an amazing view of the square, has for horizon, a breathtaking view of the Duomo and Piazza de la Signora. No noise caused by the direct view of this large square.
Namely, because almost unique, small terraces welcome you. The highest is staggering, it offers a view at 360 °. From a watchtower, the mountains of Tuscany and Florence are available at your feet… Time seems like suspended…
The location of the Grand Hotel Minerva is ideal, to discover with pleasure, sweetness and daydreaming this incredible city that is Florence.

Just got back from our hols here. What a wonderful place to stay! Very attentive staff, beautiful rooms and great amenities, the pool is gorgeous. Right in the middle of everything in Firenze. Highly recommend this and would not hesitate to go back.

Great hotel in all respects!

We had the opportunity to stay overnight at Minerva on the occasion of a trip to Florence and we were impressed by the location, the wonderful terrace with pool and the breathtaking view. The restaurant inside for dinner and breakfast were then the icing on the cake.
The rooms (at least the ones we were able to see) are large and sunny at different times of the day, but if I can give you a tip, don't miss the first floor suite overlooking the square. It is a huge room, indeed a mini apartment, with frescos on the ceiling, fireplace, walk-in closet and a luxurious bathroom. It seems to be in the time of the French Luigi. Watch out for some it might seem a little kitch, but every now and then evade does not hurt.
The staff is very courteous and responds to every request with extreme celerity. The cuisine is quite refined and offers refined and non-trivial dishes. The breakfast is all too abundant and with a choice of wide range, including bread with kamut flour. The proximity to the station and the most interesting places in the city, place it finally among my favorite hotels in Florence really recommended.

Great hotel very luxurious and cared for in every little detail, very friendly and helpful staff, we stayed together with our little 3 month old and they did not miss anything indeed they were very helpful and considerate. Dinner and Breakfast in the room for convenience, excellent quality of food and well stocked breakfast of everything. I recommend to all this hotel for a pleasant stay.

I had the opportunity to go to this hotel through my work. It is for my part one of the most beautiful in Florence. You take a lot of your eyes once you get inside. Very romantic with a rooftop pool. The cleaning service is done twice a day. The breakfast is just splendid. I highly recommend.

Hotel is located in front of Pizza di Santa Maria Novella and the beautiful church Basilica di Santa Maria Novella is only 20ft away. You can hear so many birds chirping next to the church! The hotel itself is very modern. Breakfast room is well lighted with natural light through the floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the center green garden. The staff here is very attentive and helpful when it comes to questions.

Roberta from the front desk is a great professional. He helped us in all he could and his recommendations were great.

Beautiful lobby, great location convenient to SMN train station, friendly service… The rooms (even for my "premium room") are small. But the bathroom was big. I loved the bathroom.

After 19:00 the roof terrace is open to everyone. There is a bar where you should eat something. Prices are acceptable!

A beautiful hotel in front of Santa Maria Novella, the view of the swimming pool on the roof is definitely worth a visit! The design of the breakfast room directed by Carlo Scarpa is a VRA jewelry and the hotel is at a very high level.
Moreover, all the tourist spots in Florence are within walking distance.

Absolutely wonderful hotel and staff. Some may laugh at me, but this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. It's a medium walk (15 minutes) to all the tourist sites and the view from the room is impressive — obviously you'd need to get a room with a view of the church and/or courtyard. I would have no hesitation staying​ here next time I visit.

As soon as you arrive the staff are lovely and very accommodating. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the bed is very comfy. There are lots of facilities and the view overlooking the square is beautiful as the sun sets. I would return in a heartbeat.

Excellent location Just a few steps from the train station. We were fortunate to have a room with a view of the square. Helpful Staff Breakfast Only one downside: the size of the rooms. But the hotel is really top!

This should be a 5 star hotel. Location is spot on. Food is really good. Service and staff is absolutely perfect. They are very friendly! We arrived with a rental car and the host at the reception offered to call the Rental Car Company (Ecovia) to arrange for us to return the car in Florence. He (I'm sorry, I forgot the host's name) also provided us with a city map, he outlined and explained where we were and gave us tips to get around. The breakfast is delicious! Varied, nice and abundant. If you're going to stay in Florence, this is probably the best place to stay in.

All round Gorgeous hotel, great location — within easy walking distance of all the fab places to visit in Florence. Wonderful staff, especially the bar staff in the roof top pool bar — the roof top pool is totally divine btw. I'm definitely going back and I would recommend it as a great choice :) )

Perfect location, right in the heart of Florence. Very helpful staff. The superior rooms are a nice size, although the Queen is just two twins pushed together.

Great service and great view at small price.

We had a small room overlooking the internal courtyard, but then again it was reasonably cheap and found at the last minute. The hotel is partly under refurbishment but it's coming along well: great location, good modern fittings, nice staff. Don't miss the terrace view over Florence!

We absolutely loved this hotel! From the amazing rooftop pool with incredible panoramic views of Florence to the beautiful room and wonderful staff. We had to pull ourselves away to see the wonderful sights of Florence and surrounding area. The family suite was very spacious for a family with 2 teenagers and updated nicely. The breakfast was perfect, not to mention the proseco reception each night. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of all you want to see in Florence. Shopping and sights are no more than a 15 minute walk through beautiful areas. We will definitely return to this hotel!

We stayed 4 nights at Grand Hotel Minerva on our honeymoon. We found it to be a very nice hotel. The rooms were comfortable with decent amenities. The service was excellent. We especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning. It was excellent. The location was also great. The only complaint (and it was out of the hotel's control) was that it rained almost every day of our stay, and we did not get a chance to enjoy the rooftop bar. However, we did make our way up there a couple nights just to take in the wonderful views. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Florence.

Not so expensive and with great rooms.

I was at the hotel Minerva in March 2008 and I was subtracted from the room safe the sum of 2.000 dollars. In addition the staff of the hotel was very bad, inconsiderate and disrespectful.
It is a hotel very well located, in Piazza Maria Novella near the Centre and the train station, but expensive for the type of service you provide, and also a hotel where I do not recommend to go, because they steal the belongings of guests.
Safe deposit boxes are with keys, which surely open another copy of the key, when the guest walks through the beautiful city of Florence.
