My friend and I spent 4 nights (September 29 — October 3, 2019) there and we loved it! The location was convenient, on a side street close to a major square and the train station. Despite that, we found it fairly quiet at night. The lobby has an area with free self-serve coffee, tea, waters, juice, baked items and nuts, etc. Open all day/night. Plus a library of books and DVDs for loan, and a piano. I spent an entire afternoon on one of the cozy sofas, just reading and people-watching. One day, the receptionist brought his big dog, which made it feel really homey! The breakfast room offered every food anyone could possibly want. I especially loved the yogurts and granola, and the croissants. It had a glass roof for an outdoor courtyard feel. Our room was a twin, cheerfully decorated in Tuscan colours. Beds were very comfortable. The only things missing were Kleenex and a tub. But the shower was more than adequate. The bathroom lighting was a bit lacking — but it did have a window — for hair and makeup. These are very small quibbles, however. I hope to return to Florence some day, and I would stay at the Hotel Alba Palace again.

Stayed here for four nights. For the price I would have expected more. I found no tissues in the room. The room was small. The step up to the bathroom was annoying and the placement of the TV seemed odd. The hotel room was very very clean… kudos to housekeeping. The breakfast was great and the room they served it in was beautiful. All in all the value was off a bit.

Location and breakfast. Loved the bread that they are freshly baked. In short we have a good stay.

Heating didn't work for 2 days and staff wasn't helpful at all.
Also receptionist make nice cup of coffee for someone speaking Italian and never offered to my husband.

The hotel is close to everything you want to do and see in Florence. Friendly and service minded staff. Nice rooms with air conditioning. Decent breakfast. Free coffee and snacks in reception area. A vary good location for a lovely stay in a beautiful city!

Well located for easy walking to the major attractions and the train station. Breakfasts were great and the free coffee and orange juice was really welcome at the end of a hot day. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Great location for this hotel in Florence as it is only 5 minutes away from the main railway station right in the centre of the town and adjacent to all of the major tourist attractions. The rooms in the hotel are comfortable and decorated in the typical Italian fashion. It has a lift to all floor and provides free coffee/tea plus cakes and nibbles in the lounge. Friendly and helpful staff. No parking available.

I had a very nice stay. Perfect breakfast, perfect Wi-Fi. Very close to the main train station. Quite and clean room. The staff was really helpful.

A beautiful and cosy hotel located in the centre of Florence. The details cared for and a very loving staff. This hotel is within walking distance of all points of interest in one of the most impressive cities you can visit. The Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, Ponte Vecchio, all within walking distance of this cosy hotel. In addition, it has a bar where you offer an assortment of food for free all day to the guests, which encourages the activity in a lobby that looks more alive and cozy than usual. The breakfast is quality, and while the pieces are quite simple, they are in excellent condition and impeccable. In relation to quality/price, the Alba Palace certainly stands out.

Great hotel. With an excellent bar, it has pastries, coffee and others and is completely free and 27/7 for residents. In addition the rooms are clean, the only cons would be that they have not been adapted to the use of cards and they use keys to open the doors. Otherwise the hotel is great.

Ordinary breakfast, fixed to provide three hot food, bread, all kinds of tea bags, coffee good drink, usually down can also enjoy their own coffee, drinks are free. Check-in is 2 people room, the room every day clean, very clean, have fast boiled hot water pot, daily free tea bag and coffee bag, TV's position is highly moderate, sitting in bed watching TV, neck will not sour.
The bathroom only has a shower cubicle. It's great on the whole, and next time Florence will want to live in this room.

Room is clean. Our room was on the street side and so noise from street was an issue especially we checked in at weekend. I wasn't sure what it's for but they did have a playstation in the room, just thought it was interesting. Breakfast was on the meh side but it was included so I wouldn't expect much. Overall a good experience.

Very nice room with a good breakfast each morning. Thee hotel is very close to train station and some of the main sights in Florence. Complimentary wine and bar fridge are a nice touch. Thanks to the receptionist who printed off some online tickets purchased via their reliable Wi-Fi.

Love this Hotel. It's situated really good, the staff is wonderful and breakfast is a feast. We had the pleasure to stay in the duplex room with fantastic bathroom and private Jacuzzi in a separate space. After a long day with a lot of walking this jacuzzi was fabulous. Thank you for the Super Vacay!

What can I say, it's a nice place with some pretty tourist attractions close by in walking distance. The rooms may be small to some people but it suited us just fine. The managers were very nice with a nice local breakfast. The rooms are clean and tidy also. So far I did not see anything to be dissatisfied about. Overall a nice place to stay.

Superb hotel close to the tourist sites and the train station. Sumptuous breakfast, the biscuits and coffee has discretion throughout the day. Very clean and quiet room even though it overlooks the street.

Very close to the station, quiet, good level of care and cleanliness. Very nice the "Winter Garden" where you have breakfast (discreet and plentiful). When I stayed I was the only hotel in the area to have human prices for a single, single which is small but equipped with everything, comfortable bed, A/C, safe, tea and coffee set, minibar, TV and PlayStation. Free and well-functioning Wi-Fi.

We arrived here for the first part of our honeymoon and it is beautiful! We arrived to complimentary bottle of fizz on ice as a gift from the hotel, such a kind thought. The cleanliness of the room is second to none and all extras are catered for. The breakfast goes above and beyond expectation, with far too many options mention here. The Alba Palace is well positioned centrally in Florence, with all main attractions well within walking distance. If I return to Florence, I would absolutely come back to this hotel!

Great location only a few short walking minutes (4) from the train station and the Central core of Florence. Our second return trip here.

The hotel is very close to the station and not far from the centre. The structure of the lobby is very nice and also the breakfast room. Even the breakfast itself is really rich and varied with croissants, biscuits and very good cakes. The problem is that the room is really tiny, the bathroom skimpy. Although it is equipped with all the amenities (except the bidet) and the cleanliness is excellent I would only recommend it for a short stay.

Breakfast has a great variety. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and it's in a great location.

Located in the Centre of Florence offers easy access to the old town, is the major attractions and museums. Staff very courteous and helpful, rooms spacious, clean and equipped with high standard services (such as latest-generation television). Very recommended.

Very quaint. Hotel staff helpful and polite. Delicious typical Italian breakfast every morning in the pretty courtyard. Lobby and rooms had a very classic feel. Walking distance from the train if you wish to take day trips to Venice or Rome. We spent our 1 year wedding anniversary there and it was perfect.

The location of the hotel is very good so is the service. The rooms are a florentine stylish, clean and comfortable.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Oct 2010. The breakfast was very good and served in a nice atrium. The rooms were spacious enough for the 2 of us and very clean/modern. Staff was always very helpful. Easy 4 minute walk to the train station and less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of Florence. What a great city.
