Hotel near the center walking in 10 min or less, from the entrance to the background you can see the Medici Palace. Good service, modern rooms and bathrooms. Typical international and local breakfast.

Not worth staying here. Its rated 4 star but you don't get 4 star service. No house keeping service, example, if you want extra pillows (in my case we did) you had to go to reception to fetch them (that goes for anything you requested) unless you wait until after midnight and that's when they close the front main doors. They didn't fully explain the payment process for the tours. I found out after our tour that you pay the hotel a deposit and the remaining balance to the tour operator before departure. If you request a room for 3 people or more, they will get 2 single beds and join them together with a ridge in the middle to create a double bed (not ideal for couples) and a sofa bed. A normal double bed without the ridge are reserved for a standard 2 people occupancy only. On Sundays the bar and restaurant are closed, so no food/drink at all for hotel guests. Nearby is a Irish pub which is 2 minutes away for alcohol, for food nearest place is Gran Caffe San Marco which is about 10 minutes at a steady pace or McDonald's 12 minutes walk at a steady pace. Me and my family do not recommend this hotel at all.

It's a four star hotel according to the owner/staff so they can charge higher taxes, it's based on the hotels standard. What to expect is a bed and sheets to sleep on. It's cheap, you get what you pay for.

The hotel is clean and close walking distance to the center for Florence. Couldn't have asked for a better location and hotel. The staff is really helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the electrical outlets are located in inconvent places. There are none by the bed.

Less than mediocre at best. The movable shower head wasn't fixed and slid down, the toilet leaked often (we were told they couldn't fix it), the towel holder was half broken. Basic amenities were missing. I wouldn't come back.

Relatively central Hotel (10 ' from the Academy Gallery). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is a bit fair in size. Very quiet has parking for those who need. The free buffet is pretty good.

Hotel in the center comfortable, has garage, mine was a triple room, clean, bright, at night an annoying hum. The access road is limited traffic. Beware of fines.

Hotel is nice enough — — well located, but their Wi-Fi was terrible. Couldn't always connect and dropped connections constantly. This happened in my room and the lobby. Others in our group had the same problem. Front desk seemed surprised and didn't do anything.

Courteous and efficient Reception, I found it fine. Good and beautiful environment.

Construction years 60 former state high school art. Extensively restored premises. Comfortable and well soundproofed meeting room. Suitable place also for brief informal meetings. The wood abounds. Decent and knowledgeable staff. Good quality Buffet. Difficult access in the car since in ZTL.

Very centrally located Hotel with a private car park. Positive experience, especially for breakfast: wide choice (sweet/savory) Only flaw was the coffee.

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate New Year's Eve and we had a great time! Central location, comfortable rooms, beautiful hotel, very kind staff and excellent restaurant with quality products! Thank you Peter for the availability and kindness! Will definitely return! Thank you all.

Good hotel but not enthusiastic. Enough breakfast I would have expected something more. In the rooms comfortable the bed. Exaggerated the cost of the minibar.

I mean… nothing to say about the hotel itself and the very kind staff, but when you arrive they wait for many hours to give the room, and with the summer heat becomes an unacceptable thing; And the last day you have to leave early in the morning.

Great hotel centrally located, but I didn't know I had to pay 24€ per day for the garage.

Bathroom was quite bad w toilet being broken, light switch very hard to find and basic toiletries missing for the price of the hotel. Breakfast wasn't great either. AC didn't work. Curtains didn't totally close and there was bright light in front of the window (from the same hotel it seems). On the bright side reception staff are nice and the laundry was done super quickly and cheap. Quite centric as well.

The Wi-Fi if awfull, the AC is analog so you can't put the perfect degree, the is very noisy, and the breakfast is under average. The location is perfect.

Rooms were nice and clean with a spacious washroom. Breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is in a quiter location but only a short walk to main attractions.

Great hotel with a fantastic lobby! It is only a short walk to all the sites but just outside the crowded tourist area. The front desk staff were very helpful and were English-speaking. Overall, we had a great stay at Hotel Athenaeum.

The hotel is in the central area. Easy walking distance to the main tourist attractions of Florence, such as the Duomo, the Galleria dell'Accademia and the Uffizi. The hotel is modern, spacious, with an inner courtyard with tables, a waterfall and trees. In the lower floor there is the breakfast room and one with a pool table. The twin room is spacious and comfortable.
