A beautiful hotel but overpriced and lacking in some areas. The facilities e. G. Spa (kindly gifted for our honeymoon), padel and tennis, pool etc are all fabulous additions. The small rooms are fine but very basic furnishings — it doesn't feel cosy or luxurious. The atmosphere feels like it is trying to be an upscale country resort like Soho Farmhouse but doesnt hit the mark. The breakfasts were great but the Larossa main restaurant is very overpriced and the food only average. More style over substance overall! But the staff were kind and friendly. However we stayed at much better hotels during our 3 weeks in Italy.

Locanda was recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent the rooms were new and clean and we loved the free tennis and paddle. Alessio in the restaurant did a first class job making for a wonderful dinner. The family pool chairs were the only let down, it would be nice to match the other pool chairs given we had kids.

Undoubtedly one of the best “boutique hotels” I’ve stayed in. It’s going on my top fav places ever. We only stayed one night, we’ll return to enjoy all the facilities (spa, padel court, tennis court, probably renting some bikes). We booked on booking and I got the feeling that the hotel is much better than announced. Breakfast is excellent, staff is exceptional and the hotel has exquisite decoration. We had dinner over the pool bar and everything was great. The rooms are over the moon comfortable and the bathroom was incredible. Everything was clean and tidy. Loved the branded products. We also got an upgraded room when we got there. Thank you so much for everything, we’ll surely be back!

Our stay at Locanda Rossa was absolutely beautiful. The property is breathtaking, the staff took excellent care of us, the food was amazing — it could not have been more perfect. We also enjoyed the nearby beach resort and close proximity to the train station. We would love to visit again some day!

Idyllic and relaxing hotel, with amazingly large rooms that were very well cared for, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. We had a huge kitchenette in our room. The property was fantastic. Great food, breakfast buffet, relaxing and approachable vibe but definitely 5 star quality. 2 amazing pools, one for adults and one for kids.

This Hotel is perfect, silenze, beauti and good food. We have been here 5 times. Love it! They have 2 pools, warm and good size. They have tennis, padle, gym, spa, sauna, good roads to jog. Very quiet Hotel with elegant look. Also good to bring children here, if you want to have a quiet vacation.

We had a wonderful time in a part of Tuscany we had never visited before. The hotel is hidden away in the picturesque tuscan countryside. It felt rural, whilst only being an hour away from Rome and within easy reach of the historic towns of Capalbio (10 mins drive) & Orbetello (30 mins). The coast and some fantastic beaches also within easy reach.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant for evening meals with a very good local wine menu, together with an all day lounge bar with separate food menu, which is also varied and with much locally sourced products and ingredients.
The hotel restaurant hints at a farm to fork ethos, which is commendable, but I think more could be made of this point and the wider sustainability benefits this brings.
There is a decent gym onsite, two pools, padel and tennis courts. A very helpful concierge who very quickly and efficiently made arrangements for our requests for activities and restaurants.
Overall an excellent hotel and memories made. We wouldn't hesitate to return and to reccomend a stay here.

A beautiful resort that allows you to relax and unwind! We did not have a car and I was worried that I’d feel bored, but it was the exact opposite. We enjoyed lounging by the pool while eating food from the bar. The breakfast was outstanding, and the staff extremely accommodating. This was our first stop of our Italy vacation and we didn’t want to leave!

The hotel is beautiful with great grounds and facilities. Everything is kept on perfect condition and the staff are very friendly and helpful. In June there is lots of space by the adult pool and availability to use the gym and Padel/tennis courts. As a couple without children we did find there to be a lot of disruption in common areas — impossible to have a quiet breakfast or meal without children running around and shouting around you. With a grass area in front of the restaurant, it also leant itself to becoming a play area. While the adult pool is quiet thanks to a separate children’s pool, it would be good to have separation in the restaurants and bar areas for those wanting some time without children or at least cut-off hours in what is quite a costly restaurant in which children running around isn’t suitable.

Wow, wow, wow! This place was amazing! I was in Italy for a cooking course. I wanted to split up my trip back to the Rome airport and this place was convenient. When I checked in, they told me they were upgrading my room. What? Really? Wow — that NEVER happens to me. I'm a solo traveler and can almost guarantee that hotels will put me in the absolutely worst room. The hospitality industry doesn't treat solo travelers very well, but that's another topic. Anyway, when I got to my room — holy moly — it was probably the most beautiful room I've ever had. A nice entryway, walk-in closet, huge room, huge bathroom, and a private back patio and yard. The grounds are also beautiful and there were little pathways that made for nice walks. I didn't use the pool or spa, but they looked nice. Probably my only complaint — the Red Bar changes their menu after 6:00 and it's very limited — I wish they offered the lunch menu all day — it had a lot more choices. Everyone I encountered here was very nice and I would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing boutique hotel with a country home feel in the middle of the countryside AND with easy access to the beach! The hotel grounds are immaculate and the pool was simply perfect. The food at the restaurants were also 10/10, as was the welcoming staff. It's the perfect home base to explore Maremma (still quite a hidden gem). Capablio town was incredible as was the nearby beach. Highly recommend this hotel for the beautifil hotel itself and access to the beaches of Tuscany!

If there is a heaven, we’ve found it. My husband and I had the best time here. The grounds are just stunning, the spa is a must visit. Hospitality was top-notch as soon as we arrived, we were given a tour of the ground and it was our honeymoon so we were met with prosecco, as well as fresh pasta sauce, and olive oil to take home. One of the best meals we had in Italy was here. Our only complaint was we wish we would’ve stayed longer.

It’s really a great place to stay and relax. The staff is amazing and the location is pristine. Everything we wanted they helped with so cant speak highly enough about the staff. Rooms very comfortable and amenities are great. If there is anything that I would recommend to improve, is the value you get from the restaurant. The bar food is great during the day, but the evening restaurant is slightly overpriced for what it is and you can find nicer food in the nearby village.

The facilities and rooms were stunning. Low-key elegance in a picture-perfect Tuscan setting. Also, super kid friendly without being totally kid centric. The Easter Egg hunt was a massive hit! They have a brilliant concierge service where they'll book activities and local restaurants for you if you want to go explore and eat in any of the beautiful local towns.

We were very pleased with the accommodations at Locanda Rossa. They had upgraded us to a deluxe suite which was such a nice way to end our anniversary trip. Everything was right there — a pool, a track around the beautiful scenery for me to run on and a great restaurant with amazing service and food. I highly recommend this place.

We decided last minute to visit Tuscany for a couple of days and choose Locanda Rosa as our place to stay. It has proven an excellent choice. The property offers a quality experience and the food is also excellent. Barbara and her team are doing a great job. If possible we will gladly return. Thank you for lovely days away.

We loved our stay at Locanda Rossa and were sad to leave! The surrounding area was beautiful and fun to explore, as was the property. The bar and restaurant, while on the pricier side, were absolutely excellent and the waitstaff were super kind. We went towards the end of the season, so the weather was not perfect but it was nice and quiet, which we loved. This would be a nice resort for a couple or families.
