Spasimo Hôtellerie

We had the most amazing time in Spasimo Hôtellerie this week. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. We were personally greeted by Laura who offered us espressos as we were checking in and kindly showed us around the hotel explaining the rich history of the location as a tomato factory. She was super friendly and even gave us a map of Palermo circling the best areas to visit during our stay.
Our room was absolutely perfect. It was clean, spacious and so unique. We had teas, coffees, water, bath robes and some beach sliders provided to us which was fantastic, especially for making the trip to the indoor pool in the hotel. The indoor pool was perfect after a long day walking around the streets of Palermo which are all only 10 to 15 minutes away from the hotel.
For breakfast, we were provided with some omelettes, coffee, muesli, fruit and yoghurt all freshly prepared at the hotel. We also were given the option to order fresh croissants, arancini and other items completely free from the local bakery. I've never seen this before but it made our stay all the more special to try some more local food.
Overall, this was one of the most unique and special hotel stays I've ever experienced. I would recommend this to anyone looking to fully experience the beautiful city of Palermo.

Fab hotel located in a great part if Palermo, you can walk to all the tourist attractions and it’s only 10 minute from the main train station. The entrance looks a bit dodge but don’t be fooled it’s a lovely hotel. Clean spacious rooms with an outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. The service was great all the staff went above and beyond for us. Would recommend!

Great location. Intimate, with beautiful communal areas. The rooftop is stunning, especially in the evenings. The breakfast, with room service every morning, was a personal favourite. The team is super helpful, with amazing communication, and any issues were resolved right away. They check in with you daily for your breakfast preferences. It really felt like our own little moment of peace. As soon as you step through the door, it’s like you’re transported from the busy city streets to a peaceful getaway.

We had the best stay. The facilities and staff were all so nice. It is a hidden gem in a really great area with some lovely restaurants and bars nearby but the hotel is very peaceful. We loved the indoor heated pool and I’m sure the outdoor would be perfect in the hot summer. The beds were very comfy and rooms are very big and nicely decorated. The one slight improvement would be to have more seats outside for breakfast as they were often all taken when we went to have breakfast outside, but this is just a small thing and does not overshadow a really great stay. We will definitely be back again.

This place is such a charming boutique hotel in Palermo! What a lovely weekend we had in Palermo, only more enhanced because of this hotel we stumbled across online. The owner Massimo and his staff (s/o to Salvo) were very friendly and hospitable. They were helpful in getting us restaurant reservations or recommendations. The room was super comfortable (we had a loft with very high ceiling) for 3-4 people. The mattresses were moderately firm and supportive. The morning breakfast was home-made with attention to details. We loved our stay there and would recommend this hotel. One of our friends have also booked a stay this summer after asking us for our experience.

Really enjoyed our stay at Massimo’s new hotel. Lovely rooms, lovely breakfast, good location.
Loved the dips in the cold outdoor pool and then the indoor warm one after breakfast.
Appreciate the effort he and the team went to to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Would come back again!

I stayed at Massimo's new hotel during a trip to Palermo for my mum's birthday. We were a little apprehensive at first, because the hotel is new and didn't have many ratings. When we pulled up outside the hotel, we were still worried as it didn't look like the place was finished. However, as soon as we walked through the entrance, our fears were allayed. We had the most wonderful stay, with the best hosts anyone could ask for. Massimo and Benedetta made us feel at home, and went out of their way to make a memorable stay. The hotel itself is fantastic, with great sized rooms, and outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Thank you Massimo — we hope to come and stay with you again!

An elegant and comfortable oasis in a city of contrasts. Don’t be fooled by the slightly rough looking buildings outside, the inside (both the common areas and the rooms) is newly built/renovated and beautifully appointed, with great care for the use of space and quality materials. Location is close to the main attraction points in the centre and we preferred it to an old building in the historical centre where you run the risk of ending up on a rougher, noisier street. The host and owner was very welcoming, attentive and helpful with everything from our bags to restaurant recommendations. The 24/7 fitness centre is also great feature! Highly recommend for a stay in Palermo!

Out of the 3 hotels during our 7-day trip to Sicily, Spasimo Hotellerie was our favorite by far! We were a little weary because it was so new (only open for 20 days) but the place is just like what you see in the photos but made only better by Massimo and Salvo’s genuine hospitality. We stayed in the loft suite with our 10 year old daughter and she too loved the hotel. She loved the room, the pool, and even the serene yard. We actually sat in the yard, reading and drinking cappuccino that Salvo made us. What a respite it was from the hustle and bustle of Palermo center just outside the door! Our fortunate girl has traveled to many counties and stayed at various hotels both boutique and bigger names yet now she’ll name Spasimo as her favorite and I will second her. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time at the hotel.

A former tomato factory remade into industrial chic hotel rooms. Large spacious rooms with great amenities such as an indoor heated pool. Breakfast service to your room. Staff is very nice and the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating.
