A good place (central and qualitatively satisfying) to stay in Caserta.

Very convenient for centrality. Spacious room. Toilets not excellent.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms… Excellent service. I also had a good time with breakfast. I'll definitely be back.

Located almost at the foot of the botanical garden, the San Max hotel is an establishment I enjoyed. The receptionteam is welcoming and helpful.
Only small downside, the breakfasts are taken in the café next door and it deserves to be a little more complete.

Good Hotel room. Convient location. Problem. Limited TV Channels. As the Breakfast Area is next door to the hotel, They should have an electric kettle/cups, instant coffee and tea bags in the room. Breakfast is good with a decent selection to choose from.

Poor Hotel in all, the common areas of the upstairs stink of cooking, the very old rooms with drooping skirting and furniture kept bad, my room smelled like sewer drain, I was told by the owner that unfortunately Catania being old as city the sewer system and so, I was given a room with WC and washbasin for disabled therefore to wash in the morning and to go to the toilet was very uncomfortable, to conclude cleaning and breakfasts more crumbling of the hotel and the owner.! Discouraged…

Equipped with private parking and in an optimal position; It allows you to leave the car and move on foot. Nice overall structure. Recommended!

Rarely do you enjoy a place so much from the moment you step in. When I first got out from the bus on Via Etnea and dragged my trolley after me I had no idea that on a few meters I will be welcomed in one of the friendliest places I ever been to. The San Max Hotel sits on via Etnea 229 and is easily reachable by bus straight from Catania airport. It is not a new building, which I must say from the start, but rather an old, elegant structure that now houses this place. After checking in, I moved the bags to the first floor, where the room was situated, and was lucky enough to get a room facing a inner court/back street so my stay at this place was very, very quiet and peaceful. As usual I will use bullet points with my review so here it goes: • Location — Great location. Not only is the place so easy to reach from the airport but Via Etnea is the main street of Catania. A beautiful street, on both sides full with old houses and little stores/shops that lead to the Duomo. That’s right, the hotel is 1.3 kilometers away from the Duomo and Piazza del Duomo. As a bonus right here you will see the Fontana Dell’ Elefante which you will surely enjoy. Also close to the hotel is the Giardino Bellini and Piazza Stesicoro so you can rest assured you are close to the action. • Staff — Nothing but good words.

Hotel situated in the city centre. They offer parking for just €10 worth it when considering the dificulty to find parking. Good breakfast in a coffee shop next to the hotel. Walking distance from the cathedral, Bellini Gardens, shopping area.

Hotek really great, just a short walk from the center. Private parking and also free car park on the next street. Nice rooms, modern bathrooms with new sanitary facilities. Satisfactory maid service, double balcony in the room, (I had requested the balcony for my smoking girl), the hotel has rooms in the building just next door, but the service is great. Breakfast available at the bar next door, which was plentiful, helpful staff, both of the hotel and of the bar. When I return to Catania it will be my benchmark. Highly recommended, with children and friends.

Blind bedroom in busy street. The door to our room is made of plywood and looks very fragile. Nice balcony.

We decide to book at this hotel after reading the other reviews. The Hotel is really lovely, small but really well done, there's nothing missing. We were allocated a room really great, both with tub that shower. They even gave the cot for our little girl at no extra charge for both nights we stayed. Very convenient private parking (although surcharge) when the gate since the Hotel is located in a central position (via Etnea) and not at all easy to find a safe parking. Good and plentiful breakfast. The staff are really nice and friendly. Priced right to services offered. Wouldn't stay again!

Hotel well situated near centre. Nice room, very clean. Comfortable bed. Unable to get water temperature in shower right. Breakfast very disappointing.

Call to find out if there is a double room and the nice gentleman responds: "I don't know". "I don't know?!? ", ask us, astonished. "Eh, I don't know! " replies the kind Sir, peremptory. After that ask: "if anything, how much would it cost? ' and we said, " I don't know, you have to call back later because maybe someone has booked a room last night and is not marked, we need to see. " Whereupon we switched to the next hotel. Shame as this was highly recommended by a friend to our mutual friend, who found himself very well: so I have no reason to doubt that, if you are more fortunate than us with your booking, you will find yourself just as well.

Good choice for a short stay in Catania. Hotel offers a secure parking lot (10 €/day). Housekeeping and Wi-Fi-signal may need improvement.

I had a great time thanks to the very friendly staff who will assist you with maximum availability. The Hotel is clean and tidy and provides a great breakfast very rich. The hotel is conveniently located to the city centre in the main street of Catania in three minutes on foot you find yourself immersed in the nightlife of the city. Very important is the parking of the hotel (I think it's the only hotel 3 stars get it) I used the evening to not take any chances with your car. I recommend it.
