Not serious at all! They do reservation, they take the money and when you get to the hotel they tell you that they don’t have rooms anymore, and it was an internet mistake. Horrible! I don’t recomande at all!

Great hotel with an urban chic aesthetic combined with the building’s original features. The location was excellent, being a part of the old centre and close to a great number of restaurants, bars and cafes. We thought that the hotel staff were exceptional in their professionalism, responsiveness and friendliness.

Beautiful hotel with stunning decoration. Lovingly refurbished to keep the old character but totally updated to be comfortable and trendy. All the staff were fantastic here and accommodated every request I asked if we could move rooms away from the front of the hotel and they moved us and upgraded us at the same time which was a lovely gesture. The room we were upgraded too was lovely and quiet and was so large with its own separate seating area. I also asked one of the staff on the front desk to help me with a booking I had in Palermo and he was only too happy to speak to the other hotel in Italian for me and sort out all my issues. So the rooms were beautifully and very trendily decorated with fully functioning air-con which was really needed during the heatwave in July but the only downside was the showers. These were also beautiful looking but not very functional — the water did not run away which meant the tiny lip seperating them shower from the bathroom frequently over flowed and made the bathroom dangerously slippery and the water from the shower quite often simply went all over the bathroom, but, everything else was perfect. It was a shame the restaurant was closed but there is a lovely roof bar and terrace which was very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Catania itself — a lovely place to finish the evening before bed.

Over priced. No tea or coffee machine in the room or even tea/coffee. Wi-Fi is poor.

Very nice hotel, very clean and wonderful breakfast.

Decent size, clean room and bathroom. The staff is excellent and goes above and beyond to help out with any situation or question you might have. Also a good hotel with plenty of parking space in the street in case you have a (rental) car. Breakfast is good too.

The worst thing is the lack of soundproofing, to moving from the great re-envocation of the building.

Area not really well seen by the locals… In the hotel they wrong by opening the door with me inside.

This hotel heart of the katanya in sicilya I stay 4 days that hotel I advice everybody because so closely every where so nearly the hotel very good caffe place under the drinks wine and any tea coffee. Sicilya is best holiday area restaurant are so beatifully so cheap. Hotel breakfast wonderfull reception so helping all I like that hotel and katanya. Ine a day should go etna reception helping that tour too.

Of the hotels more "modern" of the city well-treated and well located, advisable within the hotels that there are in Catania.

Stayed for a long weekend in September 2017 — great Hotel and well placed for the city. Lovely room and well looked after by Marco and Stefania who arranged for my hire car — street parking.

Great hotel with beautiful rooftop terrace bar, in the middle of the city. Unfortunately there are no parking spaces that belong to the hotel. Rooms are large, modernly furnished and air-conditioned. No German TV program.

I had to book this hotel last minute (litterally booked 10 minutes before I walked in). The staff was super helpful, the rooms were great. Best bed and pillow i've had in Europe. And the air conditioner worked (also rare in Europe).

The room is much too dark, there was hardly any lighting. Shower was a disaster: much too narrow, and the bathroom is always under water. Result: rotting door frame. No one asked whether everything is in order. No glasses, only plastic cups in the room. The price class will not meet. Cappuccino is an aqueous grey. But also nice staff & very good location. The bed is very comfortable.

Room by the reception is not worth the stay — if you are at all interested in night sleep.

Fantastic design rooms and very good service. The position in thr heart of Catania closes the circle for an excelent valuation.

Romano House has truly amazing rooms, ours had a restored painted ceiling with ornate plaster. Breakfast is served until a very welcome 10am. There is some on street parking in front. The hotel is placed between a trendy area of art galleries and bars on one side and a not so nice area with ladies offering their special services at all hours on the other.

Poor service, unhelpful staff.

Stayed there on May 7th. An ultra modern hotel with interesting architectural features and well appointed rooms. Staff very efficient. Only serious gripe concerns lost luggage! I had the misfortune to leave behind an expensive shirt and despite several attempts to alert the management to the problem I had zero success! The moral of the story? check evrything before you leave because there is no way back!

Romano house is one of the best hotels in Katania, He is in a great location to the center, The hotel is modern & luxurios, clean & comfortable. Breakfast is good. The staff in check are very professional helpfull & friendly. Christina, Mark, Antonio, but ROBERTO is the one, help us so much. Big thanks for u. We love u. orli & ben Israel.
