B&B Perla

We had a good experience staying here for 1 night. It is close to lots of shops/restaurants. The self-check in was an easy process as they sent video tutorials to get into the building and room. Once checked in, they even called use to make sure accommodations were to our liking. They even arranged a transfer for us to the airport so we could catch our flight early in the morning. The balconies were a great feature to have a drink or two after a long day of sight seeing!

A well located place to stay, in a baroque building just off Via Etna. Room was spacious with a balcony.
It's on a main street, so don't expect it to be quiet. But my room had a good view off the balcony. Room amenities were good, with a decent enough bathroom.

Charming apartment! The host, Massimiliano, was extremely kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The place was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which I truly appreciated. The location is excellent — close to everything I needed and very convenient for exploring the area. Communication with Massimiliano was smooth and easy; he was always responsive and helpful.

Excellent stay, best location in Catania. Pick-up and drop at the airport arranged by B&B Perla went very smooth and easy, I recommend this ease of transport to and from the airport. Room was comfortable, lift from ground floor to B&B Perla a great addition within this historical building. Massimiliano or Max for short who runs B&B Perla is a gentleman, down to earth and answers any questions in good English. All in all, a successful stay I will return to B&B Perla… Thank you, Max 🙂

I had the pleasure of spending a few days at B&B La Perla during my visit to Catania, and I must say it was one of the best experiences of my travel life! The property is located in an excellent spot, just a few minutes' walk from the main attractions of the city, such as the cathedral, the market, and picturesque streets with local shops and restaurants.
The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The view from the window was stunning, offering a beautiful panorama of the city, which made every morning special. The room was equipped with modern amenities, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a day full of sightseeing.
In summary, B&B La Perla is the perfect place for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Catania in comfortable surroundings. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to this charming city!

The landlord is extremely bad-tempered. This is the worst experience in my life. I hope you don’t choose their hotel like me. The breakfast food is the same as cockroaches eat. The hotel toilet is like a public toilet.

I was disappointed with the condition of the place. The apartment was not clean, with visible dirt and grime in several areas. The bathroom was particularly concerning, with stray hairs everywhere and a persistent leak. To make matters worse, when I brought these issues to the landlord’s attention, I was met with indifference and a dismissive attitude. I expected a much better experience given the price I paid. Would not recommend.

There were many signs of filth in the room and bathroom, the bathroom was leaking, the breakfast was not full at all, the towels were torn, and the landlord had a bad attitude.

Stayed here for three days absolutely Brill location close to everything.
Our host Massimilliano was absolutely superb too, organised trips and give some historical facts of this beautiful city and surrounding areas nearby.

Max was a great help — parking on a very busy street, airport transfer, useful information re: Catania sights and restaurants.
The location was great — a Spanish palazzo converted into spacious units and every modern facility. Plus the elevator, which is a luxury in most Sicilian accommodations.

Yes there is I must say I did not find myself bad at all.

Large rooms with bathroom and all comforts TV, fridge in the room, air conditioning, typical Sicilian breakfast, wonderful view entrance with elevator directly on the floor.

Really unsure where all the good reviews are coming from. Apart from good location, this accommodation has nothing else to offer. Small and shoddy rooms, poor cleaning and a creeky bed. Also no idea why this is a B&B — when we asked for breakfast, we were simply told there wasn't such provided. And all this wasn't even particularly cheap. Worst accommodation in Sicily we stayed in.

Positive: Beautiful, brightly lit room with a separate private bathroom. Balcony overlooking an internal courtyard. Very short walk to the historical center. We only stayed 1 night, would have loved to have stayed longer.

Positive: Amazing location in the centre of Catania with a great view from the balcony. The room was quite spacious and clean and the staff was very kind. We were also allowed to come before the check in to drop the luggage, this was incredibly helpful for us.
