Oblò Apartment

The location is great. The hotel is OK. The breakfast was plastic, with no fruit, and everything was artificial and came in a packet. The quality was quite low: the juices were full of sugar, as were the bread and cakes. On the first day, we received a water bottle, but no water was provided in the following days. But the location is great — not the best neighbourhood, but close to the train and bus stations.

If you don't feel comfortable to use small & tight lift to go up 7th Floor to this unit, you might not like this, and the lift will rattle few times before it comes to a complete stop.
The unit is in a subdivided flat, small and cozy, renovation is new, design is modern.

The room was extremely comfortable and large. A small sweet breakfast was included and the staff was kind and accommodating, letting my leave my luggage there too.

This hotel consists of four rooms on the seventh floor of a largely residential block, but with lift access. It is situated within easy walking distance of the main sights and the railway and bus stations. Our flight to Catania was delayed, so we were sent details of the various key codes needed to access the building, which worked fine. The reception is not usually manned, so, in fact, we saw no one from the hotel (but didn't need to – and had contact details in case of any issues) until we were leaving a few days later, when the owner, Antonella, made a point of catching up with us.
The room was recently refurbished (along, I guess, with the whole hotel). It was clean, well-appointed and comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom. Notes suggested that breakfast was available to order, but, since we saw no one, we did not know how to access this. However, this was not an issue, with a very serviceable coffee bar more or less next door.

My stay at B&B Oblo was so relaxing and comfortable. The room was immaculately clean, it had a wonderful view of the port and it felt very safe. As a solo traveller, it was important to feel secure, and I definitely felt that. Also the host Antonella, was so helpful making my stay really fun. She helped organise various activities and took the time to explain to me the layout of the city. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I had a wonderful 5 night stay at B&B Obo. As a solo traveller it was perfect, the room was very clean, secure and in a great central location. The host Antonella did all she could to help make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible, providing me with a map, recommending places to go and how to get there etc. I had a great view from the balcony and there was a fridge to store drinks. I also really appreciated how clean and new the room was, I slept so well! Can't recommend it highly enough.

We spent one week at this B&B in Catania centre and had a very good time! The room was spacious and fully equipped with Wi-Fi, tv, mini fridge, big shower and design lighting. Every morning we had breakfast at the cafe downstairs with a menu. We also had a lot of useful information on what to do during our trip and where to eat.

The room was small but nice, breakfast was small as well, everything was clean and brand new. The owner was not very welcoming and she was mostly focusing on payment first before even saying good morning which we felt was little bit rude.
The b&b is on the 7th floor and there is an elevator. Just to note the balcony is little bit scary if you are not comfortable with heights.

We had the good fortune to spend three night at this fabulous B&B. Everything about this property is exceptional. The B&B is spotless, and the rooms are quite large, full equiped. The breakfast has many offerings, including cakes, great variety of coffee types, and fresh fruits from stocked fridge. Antonella and Milo is a friendly, warmhearted outstanding host couple, always available to help in any way she can. I would stay here again without hesitation. We highly recommend it!

We really loved our stay at B&B Oblò! The hosts were really friendly and helpful! They recommended us a lot of places to visit and also good places to eat in Catania. By the way, the breakfast at B&B Oblò is great! If the weather is good you can take the breakfast on the balcony with e great view to the plaza!
The rooms are being cleaned every day, the bed was made every day and, also, every day we got free water and bathroom amenities.
Also, the location of B&B Oblò is great! You are really close to the bus station (when you come from the airport), also close to the train station if you want to take the bus for Etna.
We recommend renting a car from the airport for 2-3 days so you can visit the places around Catania. Don't rent cars from places that have milage limit!
Again, our stay at B&B Oblò was great and if we ever come back to Catania this is the place where we will stay!
